Beautiful location with Villa accommodation. Short distance to centre and to meet Tram for wine exploration. Reception organized a driver to take us to vineyards of our choice as we only had an afternoon to explore them. Went above and beyond. Thank you.

An excellent Hotel that exceeded our expectations. Very quiet and peaceful with very pleasant and cheerful staff. Website was not helpful as to find the restaurant menus it was easier to go to them. Swimming pool seemed a bit small for such a large hotel. For some guests it may be a bit far from the village centre. Already looking forward to returning next year.

The staff, starting from the reception to housekeeping went above to ensure COVID safety and ensure we had everything we needed in our room. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and save place to visit during the pandemic.

Lovely views. Well maintained facilities. Service however during our stay was rather poor - especially in the bar/barista area. Staff morale was low and this could be felt in their demeanour and service levels

The hotel is situated at the foot of the mountain and from a location point of view gives you the best views one can find in the area. The staff are about the friendliest you can get and the General Manager is hands on with his teams he manages as this property is large and has many areas to take care of and ensure guests are satisfied with their overall experience like the pool area, the gardens which is well maintained and has themes flowing from one to the other. To keep it in this shape one requires an eye for attention to detail and on the ball remedy. The dining and bar area is well staffed and trained with pleasant people to take care of your needs. I will definitely recommend and be back to experience this place with my family. A stone throw from the main town as well but more importantly away from the hustle and bustle.

Hotel in lovely setting but needs updating . Bathrooms in need of refurbishment and air con not working properly. Pool needs heating .

Fantastic location at the head of the Franschhoek valley. The villas are in need of some urgent maintenance. They are starting to feel very tired.

Amazing property with a chargeable service into town (approx 10 mins) if you choose not to drive. This spa was amazing and our massages were great to finish our hectic trip across eastern and western cape. The spa and hotel is sheer class it’s gardens and views are stunning . Every room seems to have a beautiful view of some sort, we had fab gardens out of the right window and a view of the side gardens fountain and main lodge from the front. When you turned out towards the car all we saw were gardens fields and mountains it was great. Staff were very good but we were a little disappointed at breakfast. Lots of staff around and we were greeted very nicely but no one came to see if we needed more tea or coffee, we had to order eggs but they came overdone and then there was no bacon at the station , when my husband asked he was told it was still being cooked hence eggs were cold. I think topping up of the hot food could be better and staff standing talking when guests are left without drinks was possibly the worse attention to detail at breakfast we had received throughout our two weeks. Saying that the place it’s self was amazing and other areas exceeded our expectations hence without hesitation we would return. If you go please book int the Foliage restaurant in town it’s amazing food service and a great experience as you watch your food being cooked by great chefs. Vegan and vegetarian options are unique too . It’s possibly the best food I have ever tasted.

Absolutely beautiful setting!! The staff was very welcoming and the reception was personal and warm. The facilities are slightly dated and have seen fair wear and tear, nothing a little TLC and an update won't solve. The breakfast was lovely with the dining area enjoying one of the most exquisite views of the valley.

A really nice room with a spacious balcony. The pool area is lovely and clean and not too busy (we were there late Jan). Food was nice and the hotel shuttle was reasonably priced. Staff friendly and cant do enough for you. Would have loved to stay more nights!

This is a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed our stay . The only downsides - the pool area is too small for the number of guests, on occasion; and some areas , including our bedroom, are looking tired and in need of a refresh .

Its underwhelming and bathrooms need renovating. There was a powercut and no hot water on one day

We had a nice stay at this hotel. We stayed in a Vineyard Suite overlooking the, you guessed it, vineyard. Overall a great experience - the shuttle driver was great (free into town 2x per day, otherwise pay as you need it), the pool was clean and staffed, lunch on the veranda was good, the grounds were impeccable, front desk staff was good in helping us plan a hike and make dinner reservations. Only feedback is that the wifi didn't consistently reach our room and that the shower was sort of dark with the bathroom lights on the other side of the bathroom. Minor stuff in the grand scheme.
