We booked this hotel because the listing said it had a pool and hot tub and the price was in range of other hotels with similar facilities. We found out the swimming area was closed for renovations upon check-in. This was not mentioned on the booking site or in correspondence from the hotel upon booking the reservation.
The room was dated and run down, and the breakfast was cold and tasteless. Following our disappointing stay, I do not recommend this hotel in Sylvan Lake. This experience affirms my wariness of the Best Western brand.

Very Average at best.
Pool and Hot Tub were CLOSED, so we were quite disappointed by that.
The pool & hot tub were to be a big part of our plans for the stay here.
Staff and Management said there was nothing they could do, when I enquired about a discount price, as they weren't providing all of the advertised amenities.
Nope... Nothing!
Thats reall too bad because I've recommended this hotel to several of my traveling friends.
A little discount or a voucher for a deal on a future stay perhaps?
Oh well, they have slammed the door on my returning here, and the recommendations will stop immediately!

We extended our stay, everything was good. The breakfast is well stocked and has something for everyone. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. We've stayed here multiple times. The location is close to the lake so it's easy to catch activities and cruise the array of eating options and entertainment.

I saw it was pet friendly but apparently their 4th is not. No information about this in their booking process. Staff were a bit rude and acted like I should have known this and that it was my fault I clicked a room on Expedia for a hotel that said it was pet friendly.

We’ve stayed here several times now and this is a great hotel overall. Location is excellent. Pool and hot tub are good and the staff and food is always consistent and good!

We were in the hotel the same night as a hockey tournament. Kids were running up and down the halls screaming until midnight. My husband and I called front desk several times with no luck until he came out to the lobby to confront parents. There were several parents and probably a dozen kids. They had words until front desk said they were calling the police .my husband said finally your doing something about this noise. Next thing we know we are being asked to leave the hotel. We were not the only others complaining and we were not disturbing other guests yet we are asked to leave and not reimbursed for our stay. So unacceptable this hotel and entire chain gets a big 0 will never stay with best Western again.

Staff were great, room was very large and clean. Breakfast in the lobby was delicious and had many well balanced options. We enjoyed our stay during a hockey tournament and are looking forward to our next stay here.

I found the facility very clean including the grounds and the room. The bed should be replaced. found it to be very unlevel. The continental breakfast was great, the stations were fully stalked. Hospitality was quite friendly.

Staff were courtesy throughout our stay. We had an issue with the mattress in our room, and the staff worked with us to get us into a different, equivalent room. Rooms were clean, service and assistance was prompt. Breakfast food was a good selection of staple choices (eggs, sausages, waffles, cereal, etc.). Bed was comfy, room was quiet. Close to lots of amenities, including walking paths around the lake and the mini lighthouse.

We come here almost every summer and stay at this hotel. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the pool is nice if the lake is yucky and we love how close it is to everything, like the pottery place across the street, restaurants, the beach, etc. Love it here!

The hotel room itself was okay. The hot tub was closed which we didn’t know. The pool was a good temperature but was filled with an event that was going on so pretty unusable. The breakfast in the morning was chaotic. There was an event going on and I’m not sure if the staff didn’t plan for it but we waited about 30 minutes for the buffet for there to be no food left. There was an alarm going off in the room beside us we could hear through the wall. We requested it to be taken care of but listened to the alarm for over an hour. Surroundings were pleasant.

Walking distance to beach and restaurants, clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. Unfortunate that the hot tub was closed for repairs, but nothing lasts forever.

What we didn't like was that we were not told before we rented that the hot tub was going to be repaired. Yes the pool was open but very busy and we only go for the hot tubs.
First night there was a constant thumping most of the night and a dog that barked alot. We don't mind hotels that allow pets but the owners did not correct this dog about the barking.
We have usually stay at Sandman Inns but took a chance on the Best Western and were disappointed.

We liked the hotel but we’re disappointed that the hot tub was closed the entire stay and the pool was closed the last two days. We had our young granddaughter with and the reason we chose this hotel was for the hot tub and pool.
