What a magical place- really thoughtful- anticipated what we might need- gave us great recommendations- unique rooms - great views - loved seeing the iguanas-

I loved the lush jungle-like foliage, the exotic flowers & the sound of birds chirping all around. The property was perched high on a hill & looked out over the town of Isabella II & it felt remote & peaceful. The hosts, Penny & Kelly, were great. I have never known a host such as Penny, who sat down with you & tried to help you figure out the options for things to do & places to see in the area. We followed several of her suggestions for restaurants, which were wonderful(Coqui Fire, Mar Azul), & the visit to the museum nearby was very sobering & impactful & informative about the military training that the American government did in Vieques, forcing people off of their land. The hotel had horses & offered horseback riding all around , including on the beach. We were planning to go but it had rained heavily just before , so we thought it might be slippery & did not. Would like to come back again & do that. The hotel also offered a free breakfast, including bagels, croissants & muffins, fruit & cheese , & coffee. It was perfect. We want to return!

This property is just AMAZING with the prettiest sea views at the top of the island. Penny and Kelly have the sweetest horses on the property and of course chickens and roosters. The suite was clean with plenty of space to stretch out. All the windows only have plantation shutters with no glass and we slept more soundly than we have in years with the breeze blowing through and the coqui's singing. HIGHLY recommend this place. Penny and Kelly will go the next mile to make sure their guests are happy! Thank you both for a lovely stay!

The property has a lot of charm and character. The owners are very personable Americans who have lived in the tiny island of Vieques for years. They gave good recommendations for great beaches and dining options. The setting is typical Puerto Rican countryside, thus there are many very loud roosters that crow loudly and constantly. If you’re a light sleeper, you might wake up to that. The road to the hotel is steep and winding with several hairpin turns but once here, it’s comfortable and welcoming.

Penny is great and will make sure you have everything you need to be ready for a great time at Vieques!

Beautiful views from top floor, very comfortable room. About 1km uphill from the ferry, take a taxi if you’re bringing much luggage.

My family of 10 loved our stay at Seagate. The rooms were clean and comfortable and exceeded expectations! Rooms were even nicer than the pictures! The owners did everything they could to make our stay perfect. We came on the early ferry and they held our luggage for us, while we were at the beach for the day. They also let us use the beach towels from when we arrived until when we departed. We were even able to rinse and change in the bath house before leaving on the evening ferry. Good recommendations on testaurants and top snorkeling locations.

There was a nice breeze at night, and the weather was perfect, so you could see the ocean from your room and see stars in the sky while sitting outside. The stay in Vieques was wonderful.

Seagate was very cozy and rustic, beautiful views. Penny was a gread and attentive host!

This property was very rustic--maybe could use some updating. The people were VERY friendly & helpful. It had a gorgeous view & walkable to town & eating the the fort & not too far from Sea Glass Beach

Kelly and Penny were extremely helpful giving us directions even before we arrived! They gave us contacts and tips around the island and was very courteous and always available! Beautiful views from the balcony as well!

Great little spot to stay, it's like an Oasis in Vieques. Nice and quiet, beautiful grounds and and scenery overlooking the Isabel area. Very homely. Great spot overall.

Excellent location and spectacular scenery and garden at Seagate hotel.Horse riding 1 hour tour around the town and on the sea shore was a lifetime experience. Manager Penny and Kelly very prompt n helpful.

What truly elevated this trip was the exceptional service provided by the host and the island's residents. Their warmth and genuine hospitality went beyond the ordinary, making me feel like a cherished guest rather than a mere visitor. They effortlessly brought back memories of a time when kindness and helpfulness were second nature.

We had an amazing stay at Seagate hotel. We stayed for just two nights and I really wish we had stayed longer. The rooms are super cozy with amazing views, everything is very clean and the owners are super nice and welcoming. I really felt at home! We would love to come back and stay for a longer period. They also offer horseback riding which I would love to try next time.

Nice quiet hotel above Vieques. A bit of a walk, and climb to get there with luggage in tow so get a taxi. Perfect to stay a few days to experiene the island.

Kelly and Penny are great! Kelly texted me the day before and provided taxi and ferry information as well as a map to the hotel. Penny checked us in and gave us a map of the island with directions to restaurants and a market. Our shower head had very little pressure but was promptly fixed the next day. (We checked in late and the office was closed when we realized it) I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if we visit Vieques!

Kelly & Penny were so welcoming, the property is absolutely beautiful with an amazing view! Penny went out of her way to go over the map of Isabel & Esperanza with me so I could do some of my favorite things & gave me the best advice on food & who to use as a taxi! I was overwhelmed by the hospitality. Will definitely be staying there again on my next visit!

What a wonderful experience, from the checking to check out . Ms. Penny and Ms. Kelly were very helpful and their facility is one of a kind . They are the yellow pages of Vieques.
