Nice comfortable, quiet, clean hotel. I would definitely recommend Hampton Inn in Southgate

The receptionist was nice. The first room had a half full tub and leaking shower head. Second room was just very tired and worn.

Stayed one night for a hockey tournament. Get breakfast, good service and accommodating staff.

Could be kept a little better updated. And a little more time being cleaned. Nothing was bad Just thought for the price it should be a little better kept. The pillows SUCKED! Will stay here again. Staff was awesome and friendly!!

the pool water is super cold

We traveled with our dog. Service and breakfast were great! There was a used bath towel in the bed, yuck, so I felt itchy the rest of the night.

Very nice and nice area

Little confusion when I checked in. They gave me a keycard to an occupied room. Once that got taken care of I was given a nice room if only the toilet hadn't run all night. I told the front desk about it I'm sure it was taken care of. Decent breakfast and good coffee.

The bathroom in the pool area was absolutely disgusting. There was feces on the toilet seat, the floor, the garbage can and the wall itself. I was in there more than 2 hours in the pool area after alerting the staff and no one came to clean the bathroom.

Though I wasn't very excited about the condition of the hotel (dated/cleanliness) every staff member that we encountered was friendly and curious, especially Aurthur, who checked us in.

By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The staff were rude. The noise level was horrendous. Kids played soccer in the hallway, slamming doors, screaming and yelling. The parents of these kids sat down in the lobby area and allowed their children to just be completely unsupervised. I called the front desk and was hung up on by Ingrid when i expressed concern with noise levels. I get it some people come to a hotel to hang out and have a good time but there are some of us who are here on business. The noise level was so extreme that I had to complete a zoom meeting in my car in the parking lot of the hotel and then rescheduled a second meeting. When reading reviews on this hotel and you see cleanliness, rude staff and noise were issues. Believe it!

The room was nice and clean. The continental breakfast was great and hot! Some areas of the hotel could use some attention, like the ice and vending machine areas, but overall it was presentable and clean.

The people at the front desk were rude and more interested in complaiming about guests. Stayed for 2 days complained the whole time. The floor in our suite was filthy. The tv was smaller than my computer monitor. The water pressure was low. Very unpleasant stay. This is a 1 star hotel for a lot of money

Didn't pickup at Airport. Had to book in another hotel and they CHARGED ME because I didn't arrive. Amaizing.

Location to both the city and Serani suburbs is great. Lots of ability to explore the local town and restaurants without having to go into Detroit. However, Detroit is only a 25 minute drive away. Hotel itself could use basic maintenance. Carpet is pretty worn and stained so some upgrades could be utilized in common areas. The staff was incredible and so nice. Breakfast options were great too.

I rented 3 rooms and out of E3 of of them was dirty. 1 had pee on the toilet seat and pee on the sheets yes I say pee on the toilet seat and on the sheets the other room the floor was not clean and the refrigerator did not work

excellent customer service. The only problem was that the refrigerator in my room didn't work other than that I have know complaints

Well maintained building and clean rooms. Hot tub and pool were in great condition. Hot or cold breakfast was included and delicious. Front desk hostess was very courteous and helpful.

Great customer service

Checked into this hotel with high hopes from prior stays with various Hampton Inns. However those hopes were dashed by the first morning when my mom found a empty pill case from the prior resident in her bed. That morning was the first and last time the room was cleaned (though we requested daily cleaning due to health issues) until I finally talked to the housekeeping manager and the GM Toby. I told them both how the room wasn’t cleaned, we had a pile of towels as tall as the tub and had to put our garbage in the hall per the front desk worker, also the phone in the room was broken and the carpet was so dirty our feet turned black walking from the bathroom to the bed and that the front desk showed it to be done daily in the computer and all I got was “I’m sorry they showed it as being done” from the housekeeping manager and “thank you for bringing it to my attention and I’ll look at your reservation to see how we can compensate you” from the GM. The final 3 days of our 8 day stay were the only times the room was done. No compensation on the bill and nothing further from the GM even though I was told by the front desk they would contact me. Needless to say it will be a long time if ever that I book a Hampton again. The only good things were my daughter enjoyed the pool and the waffles.

Old and dirty looking in halls. Room was nice. Breakfast was good one day not so much the next. Front desk worker were friendly accept for one lady who had her nose in her phone all the time.

The room was not up to par at all. There was a previous guest’s clothes left in a drawer, eyelashes glued to the desk, dust, floor/wall stains, and body hair left in the shower. We did end up doing own cleaning with disinfectant wipes & Lysol. We were a little wary to even stay here because of some of the reviews we read before booking, but sometimes people can be exaggerative and you have to see for yourself. The booking was last minute & the price seemed decent, so we went with it, but it was confirmed that the reviews were spot on for the most point. Do not recommend. Rating 1 out of 5. The sheets appeared changed & clean and the staff was polite. But that’s all we could say positive.

Worst check-in I've ever had means I won't be back if I can help it. Check-in took over an hour, including the time it took me to get to my first room, which was occupied. I finally got my room and it wasn't the kind I had booked. I can't believe I paid $190 for all of that. Took a half hour (with 10 people in line ahead of me) for the manager to come out and help.

Breakfast was great! Bathroom was not dry!

Bugs were crawling on the floor very dirty carpet in the room dust everywhere
