The elevator did not work and there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but the rooms were clean and the staff in the bar and the front desk were super friendly and helpful.

This hotel, that we have stayed at many times for the past 20 years has been totally redone. The tacky furniture is the worst, they have put up many walls and ruined what the reception area used to look like. The pool area has furniture with ripped cushions and broken furniture cluttered around. It's sad because this used to be such a classy place and is of historical significance. The TV didn't work and we needed to relax for a 3am flight. Otherwise, it was nice to have the pool to cool off in and the shopping was convenient. Kings creme is always good and the lion fountain was running beautiful. The restaurant that we went to was right across the plaza from the hotel and the food was delicious.

There were several issues from the start. Elevator out of service, no hot water, no internet in the rooms, no ice machine on the floor had to go to the bar at the lobby to get ice. No refrigerators in the room. It was a very inconvenient stay.

I was a great location the room needs some upgrade, Bathroom leaking no extra pillos or blankets in the room. Elevator not working.

It is my third time to stay in this hotel. In the past 90 days I stay in other hotels during 30 nights.
The lobby is nice with a bar and internal common area. The use of the lobby for a Bazar during a town celebration was excellent.
The receptionist and other workers were very attentive with me an others clients, she look to support other hotel workers.
But the manager in charge argues in front of 3 clients without personal touch. Need Human Resources skills to communicate.
The room was clean in general but the air conditioning have leaks and the bathroom borders have dust.
For us is very difficult to return.

I don’t know where to start . This Hotel is old and has a lot of history . First the front desks person needs to retrain in customer service . Then the elevator is antique and small only 2 person per ride, it felt unsafe made noises , we were not the only ones saying this . So we used the stairs every day. Then the 1st room the door was open , like open with the TV on and lights all on, the the door knob was broken , then we went to change the room and the front desk personal was again with an attitude to change it like she did not believe us. but she did changed it. By the way you only get one key. The second room was missing the sheets . The only personal that actually cares about the hotel is the housekeeping team they went all out to make us feel good. The hotel again is an antique hotel that needs a serious make over . It’s a great location, but this area is currently undergoing a facelift. It’s a shame that my family never felt safe while staying here.

Room floor was dirty. A/C was very noisy. The room in general was run down. Definitely overpriced. Awful experience. Will not stay here again.

Terrible, no hot water, the room was filthy, carpet was thick with dirt. Horrible experience.

Walked in and the lady was charging more for her “cheapest” room. We then walked out and booked through Expedia for all in one night.!! Lady charged us and then showed us our room.
We walked in and immediately smelled like old. We got the queen historical room. Nothing historical to see. Balcony was dirty with a cheap old chair.
The bed sheets were also not fully clean and had some stains. old building. Not clean at all. They just want your money. We initially thought it was gonna be nice because of the renovated lobby. But this is all a disguise. Renovate the whole building 👎👎

There were people shouting and singing all night. Since there are no phones in the bedrooms, at 3am I called the hotel and the person who answered said was going to take care of that party going on on the first floor, BUT nothing changed. We couldn’t sleep.

Terribly disappointed! The hotel lobby, restaurant, bar and pool are maintained beutiful. However the room with a balcony facing the park was mediocre. There are hand towels, no ice, tv only has 2 channels, the bathroom is dated. There is no bathroom rug and the key to the doors is hard to get key out. Also room 136 curtains are too small for windows. And if you do not close the curtains you will have 0 privacy. The staff in bar were extremely nice. Morning reception lady was not nice and lazy.

Beautiful lobby and common areas, but the bedrooms need renovation, our first night we did not have hot water on the bathroom.

Property is a very nice historic building and room was comfortable. Parking and check in were easy. We were surprised there were no food or beverage services available in the mornings and no coffee or tea on rooms. We had to walk to another hotel/restaurant across the road to get coffee and breakfast. When we asked the hotel staff about this they said nothing around was open early even though there were a few places near by.

I was given a very different room that is shown in the website. There was mold in bathroom ceiling, two light bulbs were out in the bathroom and two in the bedroom. The floor tiles in the corner of the bathroom were dirty. No blankets in the bathroom. We were moved to another room, again lightbulbs out in the bathroom and bedroom. I notified the front desk, but they still didn’t do anything. Also, there were cockroaches in the room. On the positive side, the staff was friendly.

Staff was really nice. Good hotel if you just want to stay in the center of town and relax. Hotel still needs remodeling in areas but overall a good place to stay if you just want to enjoy a while with friends or chill.

To start off with the positive, the staff were very kind and helpful but did leave out a few key parts about the hotel and parking lot. Now on to the negative. When looking at the site online it was wildly different from what was given to us. The room me and my family were first put in looked like a motel. There was no balcony as I saw on the site, the mirrors were dirty and stained. Paint peeling off the walls. I understand that it’s a very old place but there needs to be at least slight work done. The rooms were very run down and felt dirty. When walking in they simply expected us to drag our suit cases up the stairs and didn’t offer help until we asked. Even thought we did get upgraded to a second room it still felt very small and dirty unlike what I saw when I booked the hotel. In all honesty the experience wasn’t the best and was very underwhelming especially for the price of my stay.

It wasn't pleasant, they don't make the beds and they don't review the cleaning of the bathrooms or rooms. The TV service doesn't work. The shower has so much calcium and minerals accumulated that the water doesn't come out well.

The building is very rundown and in much need for a renovation. Pipes are dripping, no towels by the pool, two dirty towels by the pool, the shower head is old. Shower faucets are old and in need for an upgrade.
The furniture can use a nice paint, which makes a big difference even though the furniture is old. A good pain will make it look a lot better.
Elevator needs to be adjusted because before opening the doors, it sinks as if it was going to fall. Really bad for elderly people.
For the hotel room cost, they should be able to afford a renovation.
This is a historical building, please keep it up to date.

This place seems nice at first but service and the upkeep is not. When we arrived our room was not ready and we had to wait more than an hour over the check in time. They should have given us free drinks while waiting but yet we had to buy them.
It was tough to just get a wash cloth for one person let alone two people. Even when this is an old hotel, they could keep it in better conditions. The carpet in the room was really nasty. You better don’t walk barefoot if you don’t want to have black feet. I believe that carpet have never seen a shampoo in it life.
The bed and pillows could use some air or stuffing, something to not feel your laying on sheets of paper. I’ve had softer rocks than that bed. You can’t control room temperature. Only turn the AC on and off. Mosquitos, roaches and other bugs sometimes show up when you move things around. I didn’t know that it came with pets. The elevator is from 1940 (told to us by one of the employees), so it doesn’t work good. Most of the time we had to use the stairs to get to our room on the third floor. They have AC only on the rooms, restaurant and bar, which mean the common areas are hot and humid. I will definitely never stay there again.

Hotel was nice. However, the room was not ready at the check-in time, and the staff did not do any effort to try to expedite the situation. Several other guests at the check-in line had the same situation. Very disappointed in the staff and the customer service.

On two occasions we had to go to the front desk to get a room change. The last room the air conditioning did not work. The bathrooms looked like hospital bathrooms. The smell of tobacco from a smoke shop that they have entered the rooms. The facilities in the worst state I have seen in Puerto Rico. They had to give us our money back because they didn't have more rooms. At 11:30 p.m. we left the hotel.

Horrible management. Our trip was cancelled and this hotel was THE ONLY one who would not assist us with a rebooking or any partial refunds (which we were entitled to but they told us to wait until they could reach the manager and by then it had expired and they--hotel AND expedia--refused to honor it). They literally dont give a flying f about customers. Will be submitting this to the PR tourism agency because they should be investigated.
