This hotel has been around for a long time and is in a beautiful location. But, they need to put some money in it.
Walking in stale, mildew smell ( and it's not the ocean) it's old carpet that needs replaced or cleaned.
The front desk person didn't even look up from her phone when I was at the desk.
The room had a broken, wobbly desk that you couldn't use. The walls were patched and not sanded and just overall looked bad.
There were dirty socks behind the fridge, who knows how long they've been there.
The toilet was so low to the floor, I thought I was in preschool. No, water pressure in shower.
The service of stairs was horrendous. I don't care if they employees like their jobs or their shifts. I sat at the bar and waited 10min for service, while they gripped about work. Then beer wasn't cold and my food sat in the window, while they were all having another conversation about management.
Needless to say I was very disappointed with everything, makes me sad I was really looking forward to stay in this historic hotel.

This hotel is struggling and so they are catering to the party crowd. It was much too loud and parking is terrible. I got married here years ago and the place has gone down hill. Our room was not stocked properly and breakfast seemed like an afterthought. I hope they turn around their service, this was once a great place to stay.

Even though the property was very old it was fairly well maintained. Part of the charm is how they used to do things compared to the way hotels are now. But most of all the service was impeccable. From the front desk personnel to the restaurant on site it was wonderful!

A wonderful historical hotel on a beautiful and clean stretch of Jacksonville Beach. We will definitely be back!

It’s a great place to stay. The beach and ocean are wonderful too!

Casa Marina is the oldest hotel on the beach! It’s very charming looking and in a great location! The downside is that this Grande Dame needs more loving care.
A lamp didn’t work, the handle on the tub shower fell off, the blinds were missing open/closing rods, the doors in front of the HVAC fell off into the hallway and there were signs of water intrusion on the walls and mold in the shower.
All new windows were being installed and the bedding was new and comfortable.
The complimentary breakfast was excellent!
We love historic properties and hope this one will be brought back to its former glory.

The bathroom in particular showed significant signs of wear and tear, with rust spots in the tub, peeling wallpaper, etc.

Very nice room and right on the beach. It’s close to restaurants and bars. Great hotel!

Liked how the hotel looked old on the inside. Beach and restaurants were close. Was a little noisy with music when trying to sleep.

This is a hard review to write. There is so much that I loved about this hotel. It's a historic hotel shaped like a U with a courtyard--turning 100 next year--with really cool photos of historic Jacksonville Beach on the walls, spacious suites, and a really nice breakfast (fresh fruit, awesome coffee, eggs, bagels). It's right on the beach, and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance (Jekyll Island Brewing was great).
Here's the bad part--there is a nightclub in the same historic building that is not under the same ownership as the hotel. We checked in on a Friday and saw that there was a wedding going on (cool, cool). Our room was right under the nightclub and dancefloor. It sounded like the music was right in our room and a herd of elephants was dancing above us (historic construction). At 11:15, I called the front desk. The woman was kind and not surprised. She said that the music wouldn't go off until 1:00. I asked if this was every night because I was running a marathon Sunday morning and had to sleep the next night. She said that Fridays and Saturdays went until 1:00. Fortunately, they had another room in the other wing to move us to. Using a sleep app in the other wing, I could sleep. But it was loud. I don't know how anyone in the other wing could sleep. I've travelled all over the world and never had that much noise in my room. The hotel needs to not rent those rooms in that wing on Fridays and Saturdays.

We had a wonderful stay at the Casa Marine! Loved being right on the beach and how much there was to do within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to visit again!

I love staying here when I come home to visit. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is awesome. It's right on the beach and near the pier. Thank you Jeff for helping me book for an additional night for my daughter and I on our last trip. We will see you again.

It was very charming. They were going through some renovations in this off season which is understandable. I know everyone wants brand new everything but I loved the older charm. You couldn’t beat the view for the price. I could even open the large windows to soak in sound of the ocean that was so very close. Spacious and clean. Breakfast could improve but otherwise, it was a nice little stay. Rooftop area wish it could be open all day but highly recommend.

Location is fabulous, rooms comfortable, Should let guest know if having a Rave with about 100 people in courtyard right outside your window from 4- 10 pm. Real good coffee & Continental breakfast was good.

It was a great feeling of being in a hotel with such historical story. Also on YouTube found out that ghosts exist on property around room 104. We enjoyed the entire experience.

I love the history of the Casa Marina and the rooms were very clean. I also love the view of the beach and pier from our rooms. My only dislike was on the last morning of our stay we were downstairs eating breakfast and while I was eating at the bar a roach crawled on the bar.

Everything inside the hotel was great but someone needs to clean around the outside of the hotel

Quaint hotel, great location for walking around. Rooms nice, bathrooms great. Only problem was the bed - very poor condition of the mattress and linens; the pillowcases smelled like they had been allowed to sit in the washer for several days. Staff great other than the surly woman working in the morning on Wednesday, who is more interested in her phone than in your guests.

Felt like an old Spanish hacienda.

This is an Oceanfront Hotel and I think they need a definite update to include better linens, curtains for the room and staff needs to be more friendly. The workmanship that has been done in the showers for example is very sloppy and the shower head was very wimpy. On a positive note I loved the charm of the hotel and it was clean.

The hotel is extremely old and in need over major renovation! There was a lot of mold around each windowsill and shower.
Nice venue and location for a wedding perhaps but dont sleep over.

Beautiful 1925 building that could use some redecoration in the guest rooms. Courteous staff, nice breakfast, nearby free parking. Hard to find in the dark as street address did not come up on my GPS but stopped in another hotel and they gave me directions. I called Casa Marina for help but phone was answered by voice mail. Pretty terrace, cozy bar. Room is fine for such an old property but could benefit from color refresh.

The Casa hotel and staff were great. Right on the beach near the pier. The Casa has history and nostalgia unlike most. The staff was helpful and caring all while being out of the way. The hotel is well kept and clean.

The hotel is a boutique style. Love the old feel of the place ! Will stay again!

The hotel was old, but it was the worst.I thought you were at the club. It was so loud until ten o'clock. The walls vibrate. Don't take guests at the wedding. It's not a basic manner.

We stay at this property almost every month. We love the night clerk Jeff as he is always attentive and helpful. The rooms are always precious but this time, the room was not very clean. There was trash and items under the bed.

This property is not your regular cookie-cutter hotel. It is unique and charming. Plus we were very surprised and happy with the free 6am-10am breakfast: coffee, bagels, fruit, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and a waffle station.
We will return.

Casa Marina is a wonderful historic hotel located in a very convenient part of Jacksonville Beach. There are many restaurants located close by that you can walk to, and plenty of nightlife to enjoy.

Very cute hotel! The room was very clean and the staff were all nice. The breakfast was very good! Only complaint is I wish the room had a chair in it to sit on instead of just the bed. They had a big, loud Halloween party on Thursday night which I wasn’t notified of, and I had to be up at 3 am to catch a 6 am flight so that was a little annoying since I didn’t know ahead of time, but luckily I had a sound machine so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I did love seeing all the Halloween decorations though!! Parking is across the street in a strip mall and was not an issue at all except for the party night. Did get to see a washed up boat while I was there as well! Would definitely stay again as a solo or couple, probably not if I had my kids with me.

This is a great nostalgic place to stay. I love historic hotels! Could use a bit of tweaking but I know this is harder with older hotels. Staff wonderful and food delicious!! Beautiful beach…
