The property was a great size and spacious for the 3 of us - great for a quick one night stopover.
You could tell that it had been surface cleaned but not deep cleaned - there were dead bugs squished on the lamp, dirty marks in the shower, cobwebs on the inside and outside.

I booked my room on line and there was no body there for check-in and sign to say they are closed on Monday and Tuesday!. Called and left message on contact number and got a message after 2 hours to check key box but no keys! Called again and straight to voicemail! Left to find other accommodation.

Our hotel room looked nothing like the picture advertised. Our room was damp, leaking roof, dowdy and very disappointing. Would not recommend and definitely not be staying here again.

No power. While a blackout from a storm isn’t the owner’s fault, a back up generator should be in place for this. We should not have to pay full price for a blacked out room with no hot water. Outside of this, it was quite lovely.

Stayed Jan 2, noone on site, operated by a lockbox. Storm came through and cut power from 4.30pm till 6.20am following morning. No contact from owners as to our safety. Place was pitch black, including exit light going out about 9.15. Should of at least been offered a torch. Breakfast consisted of warm milk from a fridge unpowered all night and no bread. Highly unsafe in terms of anyone falling or a fire starting. Won't be back.

Rooms were clean. Access up the outside staircase could be improved especially if it was wet. Had no interaction with staff as it was over the Christmas new year period and the pub was closed.

The bed was VERY soft and not very comfortable. Apart from a hook on the door there was no where to hang clothes. Lighting on the back stairs was not working. The back stairs could also benefit from non slip treatment.

This is one of the most unique properties anywhere. The old world charm, the outstanding dining experience. The friendly happy, down to earth staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an old world rustic charm. The towels were huge and fluffy and toiletries were delightful. Love this place

Our overnight stay was fine, however we struggled big time with the stairs (particularly the outdoor stairs) and had we known there is a ground floor suite we would have booked it. Will know for next time. Also, no hanging space/wardrobe facilities (except for hook on the back of the door). Nice and quiet and comfy bed!

The room was lovely and very spacious. The continental breakfast was very convenient for us as we were travelling. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the meal in the restaurant was lovely too thankyou for a lovely stay at the Peppercorn Hotel.

Lovely stay but couldn’t find any tea towels. Also dishes left (clean) in dishwasher on arrival.

The property was a beautiful old country pub, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Dinner downstairs was absolutely delicious. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything you would expect. The only problem i had was the mice/possums in the roof, kept me awake at night...

Very old passion hotel, but the room is very nice and clean and big bathroom. Walking distance to cafe and restaurant, nice balcony and good wifi

Half a cup of coffee from previous occupant greeted us on check in. Cob webs in several corners of the room - and over the shower. Entry way crowded with old chairs and ‘stuff’ so the room frankly felt like it wasn’t being used. Exterior for building looks nice and lock box check instructions all worked well. But frankly would never stay here again.

we stayed at the 2 bedroom villa unit it was comfortable, spacious and clean,
we had an easy check in and friendly staff at the hotel and the unit was up the road a bit.

We enjoyed the vintage aspect of the room and the dining area. Very friendly staff and conveniently positioned.
Down side was the bed was not very comfortable.
