Large family gathering the staff really helpful and the food was good. Stayed overnight and the room was very clean and large, little noisy as we were at the front but not a real problem. Brerakfast was very good

The staff at the Embankment are amazing, friendly and helpful! They made my stay a great experience and would gladly stay with them again. They were so understanding of our emergency, and allowed us a late check out with no hassle. And amazing staff, thank you! The property was extremely well maintained and clean, very cozy and comfortable room. The property has lots of amazing touches that make it comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend a stay.

Room was extremely basic. Its a pub with s fewcrooms as opposed to a hotel. No one was available for check-in, waited ages, when i did check-in,there were no towels, had to ask. Way over priced. Would not stay again

I stayed 2 nights in the hotel and was joined by family for dinner on the second night. The meal wasn't cheap but it was very good as was the service so worth the money.
My room was clean, comfortable and quiet with a lovely modern bathroom and a very good selection of teas and coffees, hot chocolate too and bottled water.
I would stay there again but I would ask for a room on the first floor this time because at 71 and with medical issues I found the last flight of stairs exhausting.
Overall, lovely hotel in a beautiful location.

We were attending a wedding down the road and decided to stay overnight in your hotel. The room was clean and well stocked with tea and coffee but disappointed that there was not enough milk in the room. What was great was that we had an amazing view of the river from our hotel room. The breakfast was served hot and we got what we ordered. The breakfast was very filling with as much tea and coffee that we could drink. Staff were very friendly and lovely to talk to. Would stay there again.

Comfortable and clean room but rather warm, although there was a large fan. Only had breakfast which was good. Small car park at rear which was full when we arrived so had to use on-street parking which is payable at times. Fortunately a space became available in the car park later in the day. Would stay there again but parking could be a problem.

It was our 1st stay here. Managed to park onsite. Lovely quiet location opposite the river. Nice outdoor seating area.
Pub / resturant had good vibe nicely done. The building is old but well maintained inside and out.
Our room was nice and quiet with usual things you find in a hotel room -cant complain and the bath towels were nice and thick.
We ate in the pub on the 1st night both had burger and chips which we didnt find that nice and was expensive. Breakfast was good but no cereals available.
Would stay here again . Good base to get into central London with fast regular trains. ( approx 15mins walk to station)

The room we booked was great but my partner loves a bath. Rachel who checked us in looked at availability and was able to upgrade us to a gorgeous room with a bath. The room was lovely with views over the river. We are locals so know how lovely this area is.
The free breakfast was also great, loved the authentic produce. Service was a bit erratic though.

Warm and welcoming and just a generally great vibe in the place.Great position overlooking the river,near bars,restaurants, and shops.Breakfast was lovely and although we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening the room and menu looked amazing.Would definitely recommend!

Stayed for 2 nights on the first floor when down for work. Spacious room, comfy bed, good size bath. Staff friendly. I was a little worried about noise given that downstairs is a pub/restaurant but it was fine as it closed at 11pm I think. Dinner menu a bit expensive so I decided to eat at local restaurants but the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Nice to get salmon and scrambled eggs for example rather than just usual full english options. I would stay here again.

Second visit to this hotel, comfortable and friendly. Check in was quick and room was ready. The room was large, a little chilly when we entered. Turned the radiator on and it soon warmed up. Room was at the back of the hotel, no view, but very quiet. The shower was not as clean as I remember from first visit (obviously different room) - only let down. Had afternoon coffee in bar, a good cappuccino. Breakfast was also very good, menu had a lot of variety. Will visit again.

Fantastic riverfront location very close to Market Square, super nice staff, good parking, comfortable bed & room, great food & pub! Ask for a room with a view. Only negatives were thin walls and lots of door slamming. Owners may want to invest in door dampers.

The rooms were stiflingly hot even with two fans going in the room it was impossible to sleep. We got up at 4:30 and left as we were so uncomfortable.
The menu was also disappointing although what we ordered came as described I think the menu could have been a bit more imaginative

Unable to open window, no ventilation in room. Fan provided but room was very hot. Paid for family room (double bed and sofa bed) but this was a double room with rollaway bed. Not a lot of storage space and room was small and on top floor with no lift and I wasn’t informed of this. Very disappointed trip. Won’t use this hotel again. Overpriced and dated.

We didnt realise it was a pub but its in a nice position oppiste the river. It was a hot day and has no aircon but had a good dyson fan in the room. The rooms are dated and the floor was uneven . The bathroom was ok but could be cleaner , rhe plastic on the bottom on the shower screen was old and dirty. We opened the windows and there were lots of cobwebs. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was lovely and good quality ingredients. The service the was very good in the bar and restaurant.

Things we struggled with - no space in the car park so I had to park on the street and walk a few mins which meant I needed to carry my baby and luggage in using a pram which I then couldn't get up the stairs (was planning on just using a carrier for the short distance from the car park), and very busy pub on Saturday night which noise-wise wasn't horrendous but it made checking in quite hectic

Stay was good until it was time for breakfast. Took over 20 minutes to get a tea and only a couple of people there, so staff weren't exactly rushed off their feet. Ended up having to pay for breakfast elsewhere. Such a shame.

Beautiful location right on river Ouse. You can relax while watching Swans, Geese and Ducks swim pass. There were lots of boats too. Our twin room was a generous size, clean and tastefully decorated. We had lunch here which was excellent
although a longer wait than desired. Breakfast was superb, but it was unclear what we could order, if we could have juice as well as coffee, or extra toast for example. Very Minor downsides were no chest of drawers in the room and we could have done with more hooks in the bathroom in addition to the one on the door. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

To be brutally honest. Our stay was great (excluding pillows) which need changing! Also, service in the bar Saturday evening and at breakfast on Sunday morning was terrible! Over an hour to receive breakfast and bits of the meal missing that we had to ask for! Staff seemed to be standing around chatting and it seemed that person in charge was running around dealing with everything! We returned as had previously experienced great stay and service, but definitely service has dropped in some areas. Definitely suggest kitchen and meal service timing be improved to get back the standard we received in 2019. I will come back and hopefully find this has improved as lockdown may have created staff in training (?).

Good location for the town where there are lots of restaurants. Parking is very limited and a number of spots are taken up by staff members. Not perfect for business traveler as breakfast does not start until after 7.

Our bathroom was poor and a bit smelly. Not sure what the smell was but smelt a bit like sewage and unpleasant. Not cleanest of bathrooms and needs an urgent update.
When we had breakfast we could smell the toilets that was nearby so we hurried our food to leave.
The food even tho excellent was over priced.
