This was a wonderful stay. We usually stay in Cayucus but we wanted to change it up this year and stay in Cambria. It’s in the perfect location in regards to food, shops, wineries and all! We celebrated my birthday and Mother’s Day. Location is quiet as well, beds were very comfortable as well! I do recommend buying the breakfast vouchers at the front desk for the cafe near by, they were also incredible! I’ll definitely be coming back to stay next time!

Service set up late check in, was very friendly, good experience. Room was nice too, smelled good. Bed was comfortable.

A quaint place to stay for a couple of days. Longer stays is possible as there is much to do in Cambria. Both in dining and wine tasting. The selection runs the gamut of Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, American bistro as well as a farmer’s market style grocery store. Perfect place to stay to visit Hearst Castle just 8 miles away. Access to ChargePoint in the property separate from Bluebird Inn. Slow but for overnight charging it is sufficient if you get to it first. Noisey floors. The fact this an old structure and been around a long time should be of no surprise. TV requires juggling the remote to the point I barely bothered. WiFi was fast and stable. Weather is very different than my SoCal home. I’d stay in my further north California roadtrip in the near future.

Staff was very good at communicating and making everything very easy. As long as you communicate with them on late arrivals or late check outs etc. they will make sure everything is set to go. I made reservations last minute for work and it was in a perfect location for where I was working but also would be perfect for a get away as well. I would recommend staying here for a good experience and making life easy for a get away with no worries...

Nice hotel. Clean. Great location. Only complaint is the tv was not working well. Could only get 2-3 channels all weekend. Channels were scrambled.

Good hotel not bad . But they left some trash by the headboard of the bed on floor and in bathroom they two dirty towels. Besides that everything was good check in was perfect no trouble checking in early

The Bluebird Inn is your basic decent motel: a clean smallish room with the usual amenities at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the lobby is inviting (but closes in the early evening). There are several restaurants within easy walking distance and even more just a short drive away.

We enjoyed our stay at Bluebird Inn. It was very clean and the front desk staff was warm & friendly. It’s conveniently located in the middle of downtown.
My only complaint would be that the heater in our room was very old and didn’t heat the room well, leaving us very chilly at night. Also, our room was next to the street. It was quite loud at night. I was awakened several times throughout the night due to traffic sounds. If I were to stay again, I would definitely request a different room.

We blindly picked this hotel on line and we are so happy we did. We specifically went to Cambria for the Christmas Market and light show. The Bluebird was perfectly situated. We were able to leave our car at the hotel and walk about 4 minutes to a yummy restaurant “Robins” and had a wonderful meal (lots of GF options clearly identified). And the bus stop for the Market was literally a few steps from Robins. So cool.
The hotel is very clean, very well kept. Great check in, friendly and knowledgeable staff. At night a great campfire is in the outdoor patio. In the lobby in the morning the fireplace is going, very cozy. Coffee/tea and all the condiments await you along with a ton of multiple flavored granola bars.
The Bluebird is very easy to locate, getting back to the highway was convenient. Gas station nearby as well as the historic downtown.
We will be back and the Bluebird will be our Inn!

The hotel has a great location if you want to be in town, and the people working there were very nice.The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I think the hotel was overpriced for what you get. The room is small, no pool, no amenities, (except for an ourdoor fire in the evening), and no breakfast. I prefer to go back to Moonstone Beach for a similar price.

This was a cute place to sleep for the night. The room we got was simple and minimalist for our needs, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.
Not to mention the check-in area was cute and cozy, they had two gas fireplaces, one outside, the other inside, and both were very comfy to hang out around after going around the town.
Would recommend, and probably would go back again.

Beautiful inn situated in a perfect location for walking either to the East or West Village of Cambria. We have stayed here many times and it is always a wonderful experience. Comfy beds, easy access.
Outside area has a firepit and patio area that is perfect for relaxing at night or in the morning with coffee. Ideal location to walk to shuttle for Cambria Pines Christmas market/lights.

The girls at the front desk were very helpful. The room was super clean. The fire pit outside made for a nice spot for an evening cocktail. Close to shopping and dining.

The Bluebird Inn is uniquely situated on Main Street, close to everything on the Rast end of town.

Bluebird is beautifully maintained, love the suite with private patio where we can sit & enjoy the quiet or walk to through the garden area to the large lounging area. Fireplace in our room, skylights, special mirror with lighted make up light!

Welcoming and informative staff, efficient and thorough houskeeping every day of my 3-day stay, and the room, while simple, showed tender care, especially the bathroom.
Bluebird Inn is within walking distance of most of East and West Cambria restaurants, lodging and quaint businesses. The town is a delight (the community was having a Scarecrow Festival), and the weather was gorgeous in late October. I particularly enjoyed the Bluebird Inn outdoor fire pit.
It was a short drive to Moonstone Beach and the wonderful Moonstone Beach Boardwalk. The Bluebird Inn is also but a short drive to Hearst Castle, the Piedras Blancas Light Station and Ragged Point along HWY 1.
The only downside of the Inn was the thinness of the walls, but people on either side of me were very respectful of this one "given" of lodgings built decades ago.
