We really like staying at the Delevan when visiting Buffalo. The bathroom is the best of hotels we’ve stayed in. Dual sinks, big walk-in shower, separate toilet room. Very elegant rooms and easy parking.

Staff was not very friendly. Did not receive vouchers for food and spa as advertised. Were told we had to book through the hotel to get them which is not what was on the hotels.com reservation.

Hotel is quite modern and beautiful. We asked for wine glasses and an ice bucket which got delivered after a short wait and the wine glasses were DISGUSTING (we are both former bartenders and we would have been embarrased to hand those to people). The "spa" is just a salon that offers massages in modified hotel rooms. Overall 4/5 but just misses the mark of what it could or should be. The in room refrigerator started making awful noises around 6 a.m.

The gps led us astray. But we were welcomed by a fantastic staff member. I was checking in with my daughter and he (Sam I think? Might be wrong, tall, glasses, little blonde piece at the front of his low cut hair) was so friendly with her. Most people don’t bother. We usually stay somewhere else in the area regularly for our cross border shops, he likely has us converted to here. It’s also fairly recently renovated compared to others in the area. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but it smelled lovely, and we meant to have a before bed bevy but she was tuckered. Next time we will for sure try it!

Nice hotel, stayed during holidays and it was a good atmosphere. Very thin walls, did not enjoy waking up in the middle of the night listening to the folks next door....

Have stayed here a couple times and will likely stay here every time I'm in the area. The room service is good, bar and restaurant are really nice, too. Staff is always nice and friendly and helpful. The rooms could be quieter - I can always here every footfall from the upstairs guests, but it's probably just an older building. Generally a nice, relaxing stay.

Beautiful place and friendly and helpful staff. Just wish they had a pool and free continental breakfast. That would make it fantastic!

Clean, modern and spacious rooms. Friendly staff and super accommodating. Sonny is the best, he made our stay extra special, going above and beyond. Kudos to The Delavan for hiring him.
I really liked the Chandelier bar (Saturday night), beds and bedding and showers. Christmas decor was out of this world!
No ice machines on any floors, but you can get some from one of the restaurants there. If they run out (like they did with us, there is a gas station with an ice box a hop and skip next to the hotel. No swimming pool, but for our short stay it was not necessary.
All in all it was a great time, luxury feel for an affordable price. I will be coming back.

Shower head needed to be cleaned and didn't work properly, the walls above the TV were absolutely covered with visible dust. The TV remote barely worked and there was a lint and differ colored fuzzies in my bed making it seem like sheets were just brushed off n not changed but that's just a guess. Overall service was kind fast and efficient. Great stay, but advise housekeeping to make sure to check the walls in front the vents for dust.

I always stay here. However, they don’t clean rooms and don’t replenish towels.

for being a new hotel, our room was not that clean, we had mold in the shower and stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom and our TV had 2 lights on the screen. Not sure what that was all about. The breakfast area was nothing to talk about, the resturants were great. Over all, it was OK.

Sunny was probably the only bright spot. He was fantastic and filled with energy. It was a great start to the weekend! And then things went downhill... The room was a bit dirty and despite being promised a smart TV, our room did not have a smart TV. We called to try and get this fixed and the front desk didn't seem to want to help at all.

That's what they had no continental breakfast there is no continental breakfast no breakfast at all there was no continental breakfast the restaurants were very expensive and we did not experience room service at all and no maid service

The hotel property and staff were great!
However, I had a very weird experience at the Chandlier bar. First I waited 10-15 minutes to be acknowledged, greeted or brought a menu. Meanwhile I watch 4 others receive immediate service. Additionally, I was not given water with my meal or my two cocktails (not even asked if I wanted water). My server took so long to come to my table I had to decide to eat my food as is or let it get cold before I got a pepper shaker. I asked for a salad to go with my bill after finishing my meal and waiting for 20 minutes for my server to return to my table. The salad and my bill took an additional 20-30 minutes. What was disappointing about this is that there was no staff shortage or long waits for any of the other people being serviced in my section.

Hotel is getting a little run down. The mattresses are terrible. Furniture in room was damaged. The complimentary breakfast is gone. A 5 star price for a 4 star hotel. This was a much better property 5 years ago.

Second time we have stayed here and came back because the first visit was so good. Nice staff, good sized rooms, and clean. There is also a nice steak house on site so you don't even have to leave the hotel unless you need to.
