We throughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We came from NC to visit family and friends and to see the amazing bluebonnets. The staff and hotel overall i give an excellent rating. My only reccomendation would be at the pool area there are birds in the outside vents with nesting. They dropped their building materials in the pool otherwise the pool was excellent as well and was pleased to find it open for swimming. One of the birds actually dropped poo on the girl next to me. So please close the vents or put mesh on the outside vents over the pool.

Ok five stars doesn’t mean this is Il Pellicano, it means it’s the most you can possibly wish for in Brenham. The rooms are well designed with all the amenities and good furniture. And the bedding and linens are new, much above average and not worn down to rags like so many places. (Seriously, people, you can’t wash and dry a towel over a thousand times and just keep using it til it disappears.). Beds comfy, good pillows and there’s actually enough light in the room, a rarity that’s appreciated. Heat worked well and elevators and public areas well operating and nice looking. Good sound attenuation between rooms. Tons of charging ports located throughout, not just one lonely worn out one on the desk. So yes. Stay here.

The front staff was very unfriendly, the cleaning staff would still knock and want to clean the room even if the rooms had a do not disturb sign hanging on the door. Every day about 10 am I could hear the cleaning staff clean the room above min, it sounded like they were upset and would slam everything and drop things almost like a herd elephants upstairs. The breakfast crew would stop cooking or putting anything out after 8:30 even though it stops at 10:00 am.

We stay at this location every year for the Round Top Antiques fall show. The staff is courteous, helpful and the facilities are spotless. I have stayed in many hotels and the cleaning was exceptional. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised. I usually stay at 4 and 5 star properties. This hotel is immaculate, my room was very clean and comfortable. The bed, pillows, was perfect. The shower was strong. Breakfast was fine, and the staf very friendly, I cannot recommend this hotel enough . Great job!

Night manager very friendly, but the day one was not. Called us as we are leaving our room at checkout time to tell us it was checkout time. Housekeeping had already knocked on our door 3 times starting at 8:45. Checkout is at 11. Felt like they could not wait to get us out. I have never had someone call the room to tell us it was checkout time. Have stayed here several times before, but not again. It was almost as if we were an inconvenience.

Our stay was ok. The bed was very comfortable, buy otherwise, nothing merrited the extremely high cost of the room.
We did not sleep well because the air was stale, room couldn't be completely darkened and the property is right next to a large cell tower.

The lady at the front desk was working a double shift but was very helpful to us giving us the directions to a function and answering questions.
Shades in room were difficult to use. Only had one caffine coffee pod but everything else was fine.

King room was pretty spacious with lounger. Just be aware check out is at 11 am. We requested late check out and told could only extend till 1130 which was pretty disappointing.

Check in isn’t until 3pm. That’s fine. We showed up at 2pm. Tried a early check in. He said they haven’t cleaned our room yet and we have to wait until 3. No problem. We checked in at 3. Then had to wait 20 more minutes in lobby. Then when they said room was ready, we went to room and there were two cleaning lady’s still cleaning the room. We stood there for another 15 minutes waiting for them to finish. We had a funeral at 4pm. I explained that to them at 2pm and they couldn’t care less. There was no one in the parking lot. We were clearly the only guests there at that time. This place lacks customer service. Beds are hard as a rock. Other than that the place is nice.

Hotel was nice and clean, still had the new smell/feel. Usual Holiday Inn Express breakfast was nice and hot, despite very few guests that day. Had the place to myself. The ONLY hit I can give them is that the front desk has signs requiring you to declare any service animals BEFORE your room assignment. I don't want to get put in the "dog room" more than anyone else. I waited until the room was assigned to tell them, then the clerk asked me about the dog and what medical conditions it's trained to work, etc. This isn't acceptable or legal. To her credit, she is just following the rules of her boss, but it was not cool.
