The best hotel experience I think I have ever had. Everything was perfection. The staff was wonderful, food excellent, and wine extraordinary. The grounds were beautiful. I cannot wait to return.

Great property

This was an amazing Quinta, the food is amazing, the staff is not only courteous but friendly. The owner is involved in your arrival which gives it a nice touch. We got a room facing the river with a private pool, just perfect. The room is very comfortable, superb amenities, super clean, exquisitely decorated. The music in the room was sublime. The area is breathtaking and you can walk around the wineyards. All in all I can only say wonderful things about this boutique paradise. I wish I has stayed longer than 2 nights. A haven of relaxation. The spanish girl from Cordoba who served us in the restaurant was a gem and her husband at reception also. Would love to go back. We visited other popular restaurants in the area but there is no need , because the hotel food was better in all senses.

I love everything about this place. The location is magical, rooms are pretty, clean and well decorated. The staff is attentive to every details and committed to make your experience exceptional. Amazing food, the wine tasting experience with Ricardo was so thorough and enjoyable ( 4 hours and lots of great anecdotes not to mention the wine!), amazing massage therapist. Overall one of the best 2-days of my life. Thank you João and the team for this memorable experience.

Superb. From the service to the rooms themselves to the grounds to the food, it was all great.

The staff are so helpful and friendly the Duoro is magnificent and the farmhouse is picturesque. We had a brilliant wine tour with Pedro and a fabulous massage the food was amazing I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, it’s a must do in my opinion.

Superb quinta that works as a stylish boutique hotel and a wine estate. Smallish rooms and few have terraces. Pool area is glorious and the service level is excellent. We took out the ebikes, went to Regua by train and did the wine tour and tasting with Pedro. All meals were delicious. Just be aware that trains that stop here are very infrequent, walks will be hot and steep. You need to either have a car or be able to chill and just enjoy relaxing at the hotel. There is not an extensive list of things to do and to get a boat trip you need to be able to access one of the larger towns. It was great for our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This small hotel and vineyard is like heaven on earth! So charming and unique. The farm to table dining experience is a must! The wine is so delicious that we shipped bottles back to America. My husband and I can’t wait to return. We’d like to give a special thank you again to the owners and operators who are also husband and wife. Thank you!

A truly memorable stay. I had been a little sceptical about seeing a full 10/10 reviews but this reviews are all truly deserved. Right from our arrival (after midnight as our flight was delayed) to check out everything was perfect. Really enjoyable wine tasting too. Thank you everyone.

Go now! This is an unbelievable property. We only stayed one night but could have stayed a week. High design hotel with top flight service, food and views. I honestly cannot think of anything that could be improved upon. Room was perfect and luxurious. The whole farmhouse is so cozy and cool that it is obvious the owners are young , hip and architects. We had dinner with wine pairing and it was a 5 too. Would go back in a minute!

We stayed at the Quinta S. Bernardo in late September and we can’t say enough about this property! The property is just beautiful with a stunning view of the Douro River and surrounded by the vineyards. The Quinta is family owned and lovingly and beautifully designed and decorated. All our meals were straight from the farm, from the breakfast to the lunches to the exquisite dinners made by the chef, everything was incredibly fresh. But what makes this property even more special is the utmost care and hospitality they bestowed upon us from the moment we arrived. Joao, Tania, Joana and Ines were incredibly kind and caring to our every need. On our last day we met the owner Diogo (sp?) who to our surprise was helping the kitchen staff and served us our dinner!! My husband had asked for Mayo the night before. When Diogo brought the food, he said - to my husband’s immense surprise: the mayo it’s on its way. My husband asked how he knew. To which, he responded: it’s our job to know. This little story says it all about Quita Sao Bernardo. He has told this story a million times already! We will not forget our time at this very special place.

Amazing place surrounded by stunning views of vineyards, hills, and the river. Excellent staff that make you feel like you’re at home. Food with Michelin star quality paired with fantastic wines. Highly recommend staying here!

Attracted by the exceptional reviews on line and were delighted to find that these were more than justified. The place is spotless, elegantly decorated and has wonderful staff. The food was delicious and the wines refined. Sadly we didn’t book to do the wine tour/tasting and they couldn’t fit us in - our loss. Our stay was only comparable to our stay at a top resort in Mauritius (which was far more expensive and didn’t have such good food). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

An amazing gem of a place on the river with stunning views and impeccable decor. The farmhouse itself is from the 1700s and the add ons and remodeling accentuate the gorgeous lines and location. The service and food shines. I cannot wait to go back!

Spent two nights at the Farmhouse in October - what an experience! The team is small but deliver an exceptional service from the moment you arrive to the (sad) moment you leave. The food is great, the location is stunning. As for the wines, wonderful! The wine maker tasting was just superb! We will be back at some point
