They are very accommodating and very friendly. It’s beautiful period Mansion. We totally enjoyed our stay and I recommend this place.

The mansion was beautifully decorated and the hostess,Claudia was gracious. We had dinner at the English Pub only a half mile away. So far it’s been a lovely stay!

The property is gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. They offered complimentary beverages and showed us around the house. There was a driveway in back to park in. They offered suggestions for dinner at a local brewery which was great. The other properties around the bed&breakfast was a little run down.

It is a beautiful antebellum southern mansion. I was expecting Vivian Leigh to walk down the stairs. Claudia was a great hostess.

The Ragland B&B is one of the nicest places I have stayed (I travel each week for my job.) The place is historically decorated, and the rooms are clean. Claudia was the perfect hostess; she greeted me and showed me around the place. She was also very accommodating to my special needs, changing my room so I did not have to go upstairs (I just recently had knee replacement surgery.) The beds were comfortable and the rooms had all the amenities you could need; fluffy towels, spa robes, etc. You have your choice of breakfast items, and the food was made fresh and prepared on time. I especially enjoyed learning the history of the place and walking through her beautiful gardens.

Our host was awesome! She was so accommodating and friendly. The little touches like complementary glass of wine, beer and beverages on arrival were nice.

The mansion was incredible and had a lot of charm. The rooms were huge and well-appointed. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was outstanding and served promptly at the requested time. But the best part of the stay was Claudia, who is a warm, gracious, and hard-working host who goes out of the way to make sure your stay is pleasant.

Claudia is very warm, pleasant, and accomodating. She offers some rich insight into the history behind the Ragland Mansion, along with the Victorian fixtures and elegant artistic pieces, you feel like you have taken a trip in time to the 1800s! I highly recommend this fine establishment to anyone interested in history and culture.

The decor is all authentic antiques except for a few couches. CLAUDIA runs the place and is delightful. Forget days in or holiday in when you can stay here. Everything about being at Ragland was a delight. Better than most bed n breakfasts!

Wonderful B&B in a pre-Civil War mansion. The host, Claudia, was very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and the coffee machines had something for everyone's tastes. We would definitely stay here again.

What a beautifully unique and historical mansion. It felt like we were staying in a museum. If you like historical architecture, then this is the place for you. Yes, the floors creak, but the sweeping staircase, tall ceilings and period decorations make this hotel a special experience.

Amazing puts it mildly. The charm, generosity and obvious pride in her Mansion and love of her customers gives you an idea of what Southern hospitality is really about. And you cAN even enjoy some magnificent plants and a garden rooom! Plenty of books to read, magazies to peruse, and the wine is wonderful sitting in the evening with other guests! Worth a trip to Petersburg jsut to viis Ragland!

This B&B was absolutely outstanding and Claudia’s customer service was top-notch! Her hospitality, kindness and professionalism made my stay! The rooms were beautiful, very clean, and so comfortable. And the price was extremely reasonable. Breakfast was delicious! I loved this place so much, I booked another stay as soon as I got home. Anytime I need to be in Richmond, this will be my place of choice to stay.

After a 12 hour drive from Boston we were greeted at the door by our amazing hostess and offered wine and nuts. Our room was huge and elegantly decorated along with the rest of the mansion. A selection was offered for breakfast and recommendations for restaurant for dinner. The house was filled with flowers grown by the owner and we shared travel stories for an overall delightful visit.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed in. This little mansions takes you back in time and really makes you feel like you are away from the stresses of the modern day. Claudia is such an amazing person, cook, hostess, you name it. She made the stay feel as comfortable as could be for my wife, my 18month old and myself. She treated us like family and was always happy to help. Not only is the property and stay amazing, but just down the road are some amazing dining options that will leave you happy and satisfied. Claudia is very knowledgable about what there is to eat, so I highly suggest asking for her opinions. All in all, this stay was just amazing, and we cannot wait to come back!

Our expectations were high, but Ragland Mansion exceeded them. The property is elegant, clean and very comfortable. That's quite a combination! Our host, Claudia, was an excellent host. We will definitely be going back.
