Great location, great breakfast and friendly staff

I absolutely loved staying at rays b&b!

This was one of the best properties we have traveled to in the world (and we have traveled)! Kudos on personable service, comfortable beds, kwirky but homey decor, and probably the best made to order breakfast I have had in a long time. Highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!

Very unique property with plenty of diverse artwork to explore throughout. The breakfast was fantastic, room was comfy with a good bed, the surrounding area is nice and walkable, and the staff was so warm and welcoming. I will stay here again!

This is now our go-to when visiting family in Chicago! If you don't like funky and fun, a run-of-the-mill hotel is for you. Our Woodpecker Room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast marvelous.

This was one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in! The food was amazing, the amenities (sauna, roof deck, 24-hour snacks) surprising, and the people – both hosts and guests - super friendly and interesting. The art and collectibles all over the place were a delight to look at. We also enjoyed the great neighborhood.

This place was the best! They helped us with anything and everything. The breakfast was amazing every morning of our stay. Any little thing we asked help with, they went above and beyond. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This is one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. Art EVERYWHERE, amazing, helpful and kind staff, super clean room and bathroom. Beautiful linens and robes to use. A dry and wet sauna. Seriously, these folks have thought of everything. Cannot recommend this enough. Breakfast was delicious. Just book it, you will not be disappointed.

Really cool place with very helpful staff and amazing breakfast. There’s a lot of thing to see and read inside the place. The location is good cause it’s not to far from the subway and the neighborhood is friendly.

What an awesome place to stay in Chicago! Can’t recommend it enough.

The staff made the overall experience enjoyable. Between made-to-order fresh breakfast from scratch to ensuring comfortability and safety. Also a plethora of wonderful suggestions of things to do, eat, drink, and see nearby. The home is very eclectic, whimsical, and artsy. I loved it the most when the thundershowers were present. The edible garden was nice to enjoy too. A great location to get around the city from and a quaint room to refresh and be on the move to the next adventure. Thank you again!

Ray's Bucktown B&B was amazing! I am bummed that we were only there for one night (will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Chicago). Immediately after booking, Ashley called to talk about my reservation and share information about the property and surrounding area. She was so friendly and welcoming. Because we were planning to arrive late, Ashley let me know she would leave a welcome packet for us and provided me with an access code to the building. We arrived earlier than anticipated and were greeted by Ray. He stopped what he was doing to give me a tour, assist with parking (indoor private garage, luggage, & provide some tips for the area. Again, I was amazed by how welcoming he was. The accommodations were great: clean and comfortable. Since we had to be at the airport early, we were going to miss out on the cooked-to-order breakfast. Ray let me know where to find coffee, yogurt, & pastries. That evening, my boyfriend and I walked around the neighborhood. We felt safe & loved the peacefulness of the area. We found some yummy food & a fun bar (Map Bar) & again wished for more time to explore the area (even looked at changing our flights!). The next morning, we awoke to a delicious smell: BACON! The chef greeted us by name and helped us prepare some coffee and food for the road. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you're looking for a great place that is reasonably priced, close to O'Hare (about 30 mins) and downtown, look no further!

Quaint little place with an excellent staff and friendly atmosphere. Perfect location for where we needed to be. Ray and his staff were very accommodating and helpful in every aspect. We will come back the next time we are in Chicago.

The staff, communication, and environment were amazing. The only negative thing was there were some people chatting loudly until 2-3 am one night and it was pretty difficult to sleep. I wish there was a quiet time where no one is allowed to chat on the first floor.

It was a great experience. I am in love with this place! The decoration is so unique. The staff was super friendly and professional. The breakfast was amazing! The location is beautiful, safe and quiet. I can’t wait to stay there again!

I normally don't write reviews but this place is awesome. It's in a great location, easy parking. The decor was so unique and cool. Rooms have private bathrooms and the house was quiet. Beautiful patio and sauna/steam room. Don't get me started on the breakfast! Delicious and homemade. Couldn't give enough praise

This quirky property was a great base for our trip to Chicago. Great walkable transport links to Central Chicago, and local bars and restaurants nearby. The staff at Ray's are so friendly and accommodating and the breakfasts are delicious! Very sociable seating arrangements too - we picked up several recommendations by chatting to fellow guests. Our room was just lovely and we had everything we needed. We would thoroughly recommend Ray's!

The Staff at Ray's (Ashlee and Kat) are absolutely amazing. They are very professional and personable. I plan to return and stay longer.
