What an amazing place to stay! Great getaway. Only down side is the price in the summer ! Would love to be able to stay more often .

Nice place to stay, was clean and quiet. The cabins and grounds are nicely kept. There is no restaurant at the facility, it's not an issue though as the cabins are equipped with kitchens. If wanting to dine out, there plenty of options in Friday Harbor. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and would stay at Snug Harbor Resort again!

Absolutely beautiful location. We loved the simple cabin that fit in perfectly with the surroundings. So many thoughtful touches. Two choices for heat inside. A cute iron stove or more modern heat/ac wall unit. Outside fire rings Nice wall art of local scenery. A kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal. A little store & coffee shop for extras. BBQs. Large pots by dock to cook crabs you catch in the bay. Fun birdwatching Eagles to Bufflehead Ducks, etc. All the staff members we met were very friendly & helpful. We were attending a nearby family Thanksgiving get together and plan to stay here again.

Everything about the place is wonderful! The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable and well equipped. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Qili suggested lunch at Lime Kiln. We took her advice and ended up not only having a good lunch but discovering the historic town of Roche Harbor. What a treat! We hope to be back soon.

Very nice property… great views

Easy check-in and check-out, very peaceful, wonderful staff

The resort is lovely. Beautiful grounds great accommodations, easy access to Friday Harbor. Not a single complaint EXCEPT cell phone service stinks (Verizon user here) and made it challenging to navigate the island except for when you are close to town. Overall it was a great stay and we will be back to Snug Harbor Resort again!

This place was wonderful. There was an issue booking third party with availability. They made it happen with a smile and that’s hard to find these days. The room was cute and cozy, property was amazing and I honestly could not have had a better stay.

My husband and I planned a quick, last minute one-night stay on San Juan Island. After reading the reviews on Hotels.com from past guests of Snug Harbor, I knew this would be a treat for us. Our cabin was beautiful! Clean and so cozy. We were checking in after hours, so I called the front desk, and the woman who answered was so helpful and friendly. The view from our cabin was magnificent. I can’t recommend this property enough!

Absolutely delightful place to stay on a quiet part of the island. The waterfront cabin was blissfully clean, cozy, with a stunning view. Loved staying here. The only thing I wish they didn’t have the fire pits as I couldn’t sit outside at night without breathing smoky air and my clothes and hair smelling like smoke. It’s a shame really because the air is so crisp and clean to fill it with smoke. Otherwise the kayaks were fun and the staff was really nice!

Absolutely loved this property! It’s the perfect spot to stay where you’re not in the busy town but close enough to drive to. You’re in the quiet little bay surrounded by the trees, water and tons of birds singing. We booked the one bedroom suite, the check in and out process was really simple. All the staff we encountered during our stay were pleasant and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous, they keep everything literally perfect. They offer paddle boards and kayaks for the guests that we ended up using. There’s a little coffee and guest shop on the property as well. They have fire pits you can use right by the water with the best views. Overall, we’re so happy we found this hidden gem!

My wife and I only had a couple of days at San Juan Island and were very happy with our stay. Check in was early and easy, room had awesome views, very clean and quiet. Kayaks you’re gonna make it available for use, but temperatures did not allow. Hope to come back.

Amazing location

We had a great stay. The cabins were very clean and the property is well maintained. Our kids really enjoyed riding bikes around and playing all of the yard games the resort has available. The complimentary kayak rentals and unlimited firewood for the fire pits were both really nice amenities.

The property was wonderful. The only thing we did jot like was the bathroom door. It is the kind that slides and has a hook on the side. We were not able to close it fully or lock it the whole time we were there. It was not broken just the way the door was designed.

This was our first time exploring the San Juan Islands and opting for this particular island was a fantastic choice. Snug Harbor Resort is charming AF and has a super kind staff; plus, it’s quiet with privacy thanks to no shared walls since the cabin is a standalone. They had enough provisions in their gift shop/marketplace to supplement what we brought, so I was able to cook meals for us, which we ate in the cozy dining nook while enjoying the marina view. Speaking of views, the Snug Harbor Resort grounds are beautifully maintained. Even better, it was fairly centrally located to everything we wanted to do — and there is so much to do on San Juan Island we didn’t end up island hopping like we initially thought we would. Typically we prefer to stay in downtown areas so we can walk to the main amenities, but this time we decided to try something new and I am so glad we did because this place made us feel like we were truly on a relaxing vacation. Loved that it had a “modern rustic” vibe, but with all of the usual hotel amenities (and that glorious view). Highly recommend staying here. Also highly recommend splurging on the waterfront lodging option if available. This trip was the 2nd half of our honeymoon and the cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. I would totally stay here again if we return to this location.

It’s a beautiful quiet peaceful place to stay with very clean little cabins

A perfectly serene and quiet getaway for my husband and me. We had a lovely cabin near the water and a view we could enjoy through large windows. We were cozy with a gas burning stove and lots of warm blankets. We drove to some excellent restaurants in Friday Harbor and near Roche harbor and had some really good food and wine.

From the moment my wife and I arrived at Snug Harbor Resort, we were blown away by the picturesque scenery and cozy atmosphere. The resort is nestled in a quiet corner of the island, surrounded by lush trees and serene water views. It truly felt like our own little slice of paradise. The single-bedroom cabin we stayed in was the perfect size for the two of us, with all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. The cabin was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with plenty of natural light and a comfortable bed that ensured we got a great night's sleep. Despite being during the off-season, we were delighted to find that the resort still offered plenty of activities to keep us entertained. We spent our days hiking and exploring the nearby towns, and in the evenings, we enjoyed cozy nights in by the fireplace, reading and playing board games. But what really set Snug Harbor Resort apart from other vacation spots we've visited was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From the moment we checked in, they went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always available to answer our questions and offer recommendations for things to do and see in the area. Overall, our stay at Snug Harbor Resort was nothing short of amazing. The combination of stunning natural beauty, cozy accommodations, and exceptional hospitality made it a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back and make more memories.
