It would be wrong of me to be selfish and leave one star so that someone else does not book on the same weekend I plan to go back! What a lovely stay my family and I enjoyed. Can’t wait to go back.

A lot of external stairs we weren't aware of or warned about to access the apartment. Difficult with heavy luggage. Room was very cold without the heating on. Bed was comfortable but pillows could be better. A guide to the local area would be appreciated.

Oceanfront Hacienda was such a wonderful surprise! I stumbled across their listing looking for a quick overnight escape for my wife and I. It was quite simply one of the the warmest and comfy experiences we have ever experienced. Quiet, cozy, and restorative for your spirit. Very close to everything you want to access on the waterfront at San Clemente, right across from the Metro Link stop, with a quick trolley ride up to town. This is now our home every time we will visit San Clemente! We loved staying here, and we will be back!

Very unique property, wonderful history. The biggest and most difficult to maneuver is the lack of parking.

This was an amazing place to stay. You can’t beat the location, as it is so close to the pier, shopping, and restaurants. The sombrero suit was perfect for 4 people, it had all of the amenities including items for the beach. The views were stunning from everywhere. It was a clean and beautiful property.

Great view of the beach. Quaint vintage Spanish decor. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to make a meal.Location is excellent with patio overlooking the ocean. Can’t wait to return.

Loved everything about it. Very quaint area, across from the beach. Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant on the pier. Great food and service. Hotel staff kind and accommodating.

You guys have the best place ever! We had a wonderful time and my wife's surprise stay for her birthday blew her away! We will definitely be back soon!!!

Very nice and cozy room, Grotto was where I stayed. Property very clean, owner/host on site. Very nice and historic house. Very reasonable rates. Very quiet. The ocean is just a short walk away. Literally across the street. I will be back for sure.

The Bonita suite was really nice. The private beachfront patio was wonderful. The room comes fully equipped with everything you’ll need.
The king bed sits high above the ground and my wife needed a step stool. The main room has a 27 inch tv and the bedroom has a 19 inch tv when you’re not at the beach. Everything is steps from the Hacienda. Parking is hard to find but worth it. No AC but the room has a fan and windows for the ocean breeze.

Classic restored Spanish villa from 100 years ago. What could be cooler. Paces from the raging sea, pier, bars and good coffee. Paradise.

Suite was spacious, clean and great ocean views. Down side is the parking. No parking on site. You have to look for parking (meters) which can take a bit long.

The Sombrero room was awsome!! We cooked steaks, enjoying the dining table, had a great fire in the fireplace. Beds were so comfortable. Hated to leave. John the owner was so accommodating.

Having lived in San Clemente on and off for 20 years, I have always thought this would be a cool spot to suggest to guests given the location. We can confirm firsthand that we should've been sending friends here for years after an awesome weeklong stay (our SC home is being renovated and we popped back in town to check out progress). We stayed in the sombrero and the views were breathtaking, the fireplace was an awesome extra amenity each night and it was clutch to have a small kitchen/beautiful dining area so that we could enjoy a few meals at home vs. eating out the ENTIRE time. We will be back and will tell our friends!

Cute and cozy! Very clean! Loved that they kept the original doors and windows, even the light switches from when it was first built. It was definitely an experience like no other. Enjoyed that everything was walking distance including restaurants and beach/pier. Perfect small family getaway.

It was a well needed getaway for me and the wife with no kiddos....amazing place very peaceful and relaxing listening to waves. Enjoyed are stay will definitely stay again.

Great location but parking is difficult to impossible. Unit is comfortable but would recommend that large picture window in bedroom be replaced with something that will open to allow cross breeze sense there is no AC. Great access to beach/pier and unit was quiet at night. Pictures listed are for all of property and not necessarily your rental. Will not stay again due to parking.....

This is a super cute friendly little apartment. Loved the people the view the location!! However, this really needs a deep professional cleaning. I dropped the soap from the shower between the tub and bathroom counter and picked up wood chips, hair, dirt and was grossed out. Threw the soap away. This is privately owned so not much I could do. The owners are super nice and friendly. I’d only recommend they employ a cleaning service.

We liked the following: the history and age of the hotel; the owner's pride in bringing it back after being run down; and staying with original pieces, like the push button light switches.
