I had a wonderful stay. The staff and service were great!

This was a pretty luxurious hotel for a stay in Jamaica. Hotel had gated security. You had to check in with security (they have the list of names of guests that are checking in each day)when you first checked in to hotel. Only those registered were allowed in the hotel and there was staff present 24/7 so I felt very safe. Hotel rooms themselves were luxurious looking! There was a tv and fridge in the room. No hairdryer in room but I did phone the front desk and they had one sent up to my room which was amazing! The staff at the hotel were amazing! Very polite and willing to help if you needed something. I stayed in room 208. The only thing to complain about (not that there was really anything to complain about) was that the window beside my bed that leads to the stairwell that leads into the kitchen area of the restaurant didn't close flush properly so I could hear the kitchen noise/staff talking (not that they were being too loud) late at night when trying to sleep. Then I could hear noise from kitchen/staff talking first thing in the morning when they were preparing breakfast at 6am. The other window in the bathroom also didn't seal/close flush so all the cool air from A/C could escape. Hotel offers shuttle service but I found the shuttle times were not frequent enough for going to the beach. You could take shuttle to the beach at 915am but it would not return you back to hotel until 330pm. You definitely must take the hotel shuttle to the beach/hip strip or its 30min walk.

I can say when I first got to the hotel I had a bit of trouble with the guy who drives the shutter. He was a bit rude, but besides that the food was amazing Service was amazing another thing that I didn’t like is that when you need rides I feel though the price for foreigners are a bit higher than usual.

A great view.... but its very loud, and we could not sleep even with earplugs. We paid for extra for the deluxe room with the view. The view was great. But starting Sunday evening, the partying next door is very loud and doesn't stop until 5am.... which ruined the experience especially when we had to then be up at 8am for our flight home. I asked hotel to move us to a different room, or to book us elsewhere, and for a refund, all refused. I understand this is outside the hotel's control, but travelers should be wary of this. The hotel is otherwise in good condition.

Our tour bus was running late due to traffic. I called the hotel, who called their shuttle driver. We made the connection at the airport. We ate lunch in their restaurant while they finished room prep. Then sat out by the pool after lunch. Lots of traffic noise. Ate dinner at their restaurant. Really tasty, good service. Comfy bed. Woke up. Traffic noise. Big room. Spare furnishings. Huge patio outside all third floor bedroom windows. Disconcerting. But friendly, helpful staff were great, thick walls and thick curtains blocked much of the noise. Great for our 1-night stay.

I am very observant and picky when i stay at hotels... Hotel Grand A DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Their welcoming was warm. The front desk lady was professional and friendly.. Check in was smooth and quick. Then there's the room.. It was immaculate and looked EXACTLY like the picture... Room service knocked everyday to ask if we wanted cleaning... The breakfast delicious everyday. The food in the restaurant was on point and so was Ms. Janet (Jackson if u nasty), Steve and the rest of the food staff... The shuttles were available and prompts and if u wanted to do anything else, they were helpful with Taxi's... I hate that we left on a Sunday and didnt get to say goodbye to Kevin our driver, Ms. Janet and Steve... IT WAS THE HOSPITALITY FOR ME.... AND YES, I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN.

The stay was excellent..just had a problem with the hot water before showering but once we notified the front desk ..everything was perfect... our driver with the shuttle was excellent. I would stay here again...oh yeah the restaurant was delicious

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel from the restaurant to the room to the elevator to the reception. It was perfectly kept clean. I couldn’t have looked for a beautiful and better place. I’ll surely be there on my next visit. Thanks to Travelocity and the Hotel for making my stay most enjoyable and memorable.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room had amazing views of the ocean and city life. Breakfast was delicious and it’s very relaxing and quiet. The terrace is huge with plenty of seating.

Quiet place

The place where the property is located has a beautiful view of the ocean and where the planes land on one side. The staff was overall friendly and they were constantly cleaning. They have a number of security guards there. Safety was top notch! A big shout out to the security lady at the front gate...very knowledgeable and hospitable. Another shout out to the resturant supervisor...Janet. ..she was friendly and down to earth. Another shout out to the shuttle driver and bell man on our first day; who had wonderful personalities and went above and beyond. Just too many staff members to name. What we didn't like is as follows: On the other side of the resturant outside was too loud; the constant blowing of vehicles and sirens. The second floor by the resturant should have a bathroom. If you have guest come to visit you, you are not allowed to bring them to your room. You are either stuck where you go and check in or you have to stay in the resturant or outside of it where there is noise. At times it was so chilly to stay out. As in our case, family members spent the entire day with us. It's okay for our family members to buy drinks and food but nothing else. There was no privacy. I believe that it's not right. Ultimately we who are paying are responsible for our guest if they visit us in our room where we can be comfortable and relax. Because of this policy, we will not be staying at this hotel again eventhough the staff was great overall.

Overall it was good. The only issue was the sink but they fixed right away.

Very good hotel

I had a really nice day once again at this lovely hotel it’s one of my favorites whenever I visit Jamaica and fly into Montego Bay. I know the staff and the breakfast is super yummy. Rooms are nice and clean poolside is pleasant.

The front desk staff to begin was big warm welcome, tge whole staff was nice andthe property and everything was very clean (impressive) We will definitely be back.. oh and an amazing breathtaking mountain top view.

I booked because it was a 9.0 stars on the expedite . It’s not horrible, was fine for a night, but definitely not a 9/10.

This property is a below average hotel and they do a good job of trying to keep it clean But overall this place is not the place to be save your money and go just to resort. Some of the staff is ok but most of the staff was unfriendly and rude I will not be coming anywhere close to this place again

I recently visited in January 2024 for a birthday celebration and was very pleased. The staff was excellent! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I will most definitely be staying at this location when we come back later this year.

The property is very clean. I was pleasantly surprised. Driving up the hill the area may seem off but once you enter the gate, you’ll be very pleased. The lobby area is very nice and the room was very clean and updated. Restaurant was very clean and staff very pleasant. The shuttle service was convenient to the beach. I wasn’t able to take it to the airport because I had a 8 AM flight but concierge book me a taxi at a cost. The airport is literally 5 minutes away. I will definitely stay there again.

Checking in and out was easy. Michael was a pleasant and helpful porter. Excellent food and service in the restaurant. The complimentary breakfast offered many choices. Even though we were next to a busy street, our poolside room was quiet.
