Amazing attention/service from the staff.

Wonderful little gem in Central Havana about four blocks from the sea wall. Highlights are the extremely helpful and friendly staff (in particular the manager Jorge), flexibility regarding breakfast time, and the simply amazing interior decorations. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from old Havana, and there are not too many restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, but this does not matter as the hotel offers home cooked meals and superb cocktails (in fact better than any that we had in old Havana).

Jorge and the rest of the staff were amazing. They organized taxis, gave us recommendations, and shared their Cuban culture with us! Best mojito we had all trip. The breakfasts every morning were delicious and quick! The building was well taken care of and had beautiful decorations. They treated us like family and made our trip one to remember forever!

We highly recommend this Casa Particulares. Staff is super nice, food excellent and rooms are very clean. The building is very traditional and conserved very well. It is located close to all important sites.

It was perfect. Jorge was very friendly. Rooms where clean. Shower only had cold water but that’s Havana. Breakfast delicious.

This little gem offers a comfort and convenience of a hotel and local charm and warm hospitality of a casa. The manager Jorge and his team would not hesitate go extra miles for us. For example, when we had to leave early in the morning for a day excursion, they even opened their kitchen much earlier than usual to prepare breakfast for us. This hotel proactively offers services, which we found very rare in other state-owned or big chain hotels in Cuba. Highly recommended. By the way, I would like to personally thank Jorge for sending me over to a nearby clinic when I was suddenly taken ill. I received the right treatment and got well enough to continue our travel over Varadero.

This charming boutique hotel is a hidden gem in Vedado area of Havana. The interior is beautifully restored and elegant and the staff make you feel like family. Jorge and his team are friendly, helpful and their service like none other compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Cuba. And the chef’s meals for breakfast as well as dinner was better than our meals at Hotel Nacionale. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel for four days. We loved it! Staff was incredible, room was super comfortable, breakfasts were delicious, VIP treatment all around. We really enjoyed meeting Jorge and the wonderful staff, the hotel is greatly located, too! We will definitely come back to Vapor 156!

Overall clean and safe hotel with stunning architecture and good staff except for the manager Jorge. A big thank you to Eduardo, who is a genuinely caring person and very attentive to all the guests. However, the hotel has some issues. First, our sheets had not been changed in four days. When we asked for at least fresh pillowcases, we were told the only solution was to move us to a room that had fresh sheets/pillowcases but we would have to pay for the new room. This ask by the manager Jorge was unbelievable and unheard of. After some back and forth, we were given fresh pillowcases from a storage room or the like. Let’s even pretend that they had forgotten to change the sheets, the ask that followed about paying to move to a different room was beyond unfair and ridiculous. When we calmly explained to Jorge that we were shook about the request, he started raising his voice and becoming aggressive and he denied instructing his staff to make us pay for a room with fresh sheets/towels. Second, meals and drinks are unjustifiably overpriced. For example, a small cuban fish meal is US $30 and one small bottle of water is US$ 2. Third, the first day were told a walking tour of 4 hours was US $30, the next day the manger Jorge said it was US $50 and tried to gaslight us into thinking that he previously said it was $50. We later confirmed it was $30. We will not return to this hotel only because of the dishonesty, greed, and unprofessionalism of Jorge.

Every staffs were very nice, we organised everything very well. Since we are not familiar with the culture and language, but the staff help us a lot and gave us useful suggestions. We needed to early check out due to our early flight, they arrange early early breakfast and taxi for us, we were very considerate and we have treasurable and unforgettable time there! We highly recommend you to stay with them.

Check in process was really smooth and there was no stress or confusion. Right after I booked the hotel, they give me a message and offered me for arranging a taxi from the air port to the hotel. It was very helpful because my flight arrived at late. Also, every staff are really nice kind. The hotel is historical building, but the room equipment is modern. Breakfast is good as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice , but is unsafe. All my mum's jewelry was stolen from her baggage in our room when we left the hotel for a walk. Really bad thing for a hotel. I tried to contact the hotel and never received answer. Not recommended.

Jorge and his team were amazing and accommodating! We now have family in Cuba! When the taxi first arrived we thought we were in the wrong place, but this is truly a hidden gem in Havana. The neighborhood is a bit rundown, but the hotel is restored with original fixtures and furniture, while the rooms (specifically the bathrooms) are upgraded and modern. Jorge (the hotel manager), Adrian (the concierge) and Christian (the chef) were so friendly and helpful! They answered all our questions and shared Cuba’s rich history with us. We enjoyed the cultural exchange of it all and happily taught them some English idioms. I highly recommend Vapor 156 Boutique Hotel and look forward to staying there again when we return.

The stay was ideal

This is an amazing place for Americans to stay when visiting Cuba. It's privately owned. Almost everything you could need is available directly from the establishment for very reasonable prices, and it's payable via credit card as well. The staff is one of the most friendly and helpful I've ever seen. And the free breakfast is amazing. This will definitely be where I'm staying when I return to Cuba.

Great little hotel in Vedado district of Havana. Easy to explore this fascinating city from this comfortable colonial hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and air conditioning was very welcomed!
