My boyfriend and I stayed at AC Residence first one night when arriving to Kota Kinabalu and then one more night when returning to Kota Kinabalu after some days in Sandakan.
The rooms have great standard and with all amenities you can need. They’ve really thought about what you need when traveling.
The staff are super helpful with quick response time over WhatsApp. They stored our luggage during our trip to Sandakan and it stood waiting for us in the room when we checked in again - so appreciated!

I was staying at top floor. There's no lift.

We could not open the blind because people on street can see straight through -this can be sorted with frosted film

All of staff is so kind and nice, very welcoming us and helped us check in even at late night. We could feel that they tried to care us as much as they could. I will definitely recommend this residence. Thanks for your kind hospitality.

I liked that all the light switches are touch pad. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Feels like at least a 4-star hotel.
If have lots of luggage, the climb up the stairs to second story might be difficult for some people.

We were told there was a problem with the AC in the room we booked and so we were given the next room which was smaller. It was still ok as it was just for the two, but the bathroom is a little small. The mattress was really soft, so for those with back problems, you make want to think twice. Other than that, all was good, they have a power bank at your dispense, hair dryer, complimentary masks x2, wet wipes and hand sanitizer spray. The location of the hotel was central and many things were within walking distance.
