I had to ring there there was no one there at the office and also to drop off the keys , key box was broken

Compared to others we have stayed in, in the area, quite disappointing. Insufficienct “extras in the bathroom “, although it was serviced appartments we did not receive any service at all, people smoking and congregating outside our room, very noisy room from traffic and vending machines. We will not use this motel again.

Room was ok, nothing outstanding but clean and comfortable. The main problem was there wa as lot of noise late at night. There were signs up saying “no noise after 10pm” but right up until I fell asleep at about midnight, there were loud young people making a lot of noise in the halls. And the noise really echoes off the walls. They kept me up.

Staff and management is very helpful and very friendly. We will definitely come back and recommend to others.

room very small. breakfast was not as advertised cutlery and coffee cups were very dirty, took 1 day to get free wifi password as on one in reception. Very disapointing overall expereance. Would not recommend or stay at this property again. Booked for 3 nights but left after 2 nights

I enjoyed my one night stay, excellent room tho bed was a little bit soft. Pool, spa and sauna were excellent. Nice views.

Nice area overlooking lake for breakfast. Whole complex could be a gold mine with a little upgrade.

Handy to the beaches

Rooms are great clean and comfortable but management is a bit to be desired

Overall was great. Bit disappointed with breakfast that was included & was surprised that there wasn’t cold drinking water anywhere except the vending machine.

The cleaning staff were friendly - but clearly overwhelmed. The noise late at night was dreadful. Other guests were standing around smoking, men in large groups, people were banging on our lounge window adjacent to the lifts. There was loud music and other guests outside yelling and screaming. There was clearly no security to enforce the no noise after 10pm signs. Our unit wasn't very clean on the inside. I would never stay here again.

Terrible! We booked their penthouse suite and arrived to no air-conditioning in our suite on a 36 degree day. Then the lift broke so everyone was using the stairs in the fire exit, they were wet and slippery as all the wet children were running up and down them from the pool. Then we returned after lunch out to the whole hotel having no power at all. The staff were very unprofessional and the whole mess was handled appallingly. We packed up at 10pm, when there was still no power and checked out and went home. The rooms are cheaply appointed and definitely NOT worth what they charge per night for this place. Do not be tricked by the words "Lake Resort" as it is so far from it. We have stayed in better 3star country motels. Even after all this we would have expected the management to call the next day to try to smooth things over or offer a refund but we haven't heard a thing. We would never recommend this accommodation!

Gorgeous location, and peaceful place to relax! The super friendly and accommodating manager Paul, made our stay so much more relaxing, and it was obvious the other guests were very appreciative of him too! Free breakfast was a perfect touch, not needing to leave for food and coffee was great!

2 bedroom penthouse - amazing views from both sides, really nice room, great value, family friendly, great space at ground for kids to run around on grass, play/kick a ball (balls/equipment provided) while we could have a drink on the sunloungers and enjoy the views. The hotel itself has little amenities, pool only small, no proper foyer etc. Is more like an apartment block, however the important things like spacious 2 bed room, incredible views, somewhere for kids to burn some energy while we relax was really important and great for the price. Will come back.

Nothing liked - room dirty - hair all through room and bathroom - minimal information provided at check-in - only information given was what they did not want you to do. Bathroom mould in grout in shower. Breakfast room filthy - all crockery/cutlery put back on shelves with dirty mixed with clean - no tongs or anything for handling food items. Hot boiled eggs left on bench in in hygienic manner.

A short overnight stay to break up our drive. We were greeted with a smile for our late check-in. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast by the lake before continuing our journey.

Clean good location

For what room was, it was very expensive. Also friends room wasnt ready for hours after check in & while one person cleaned, the other lay on the bed watching tv. Very dissapointing. Pool & outside area very nice. Breakfast provided but very ordinary & no teaspoons.

Parking is terrible .. very noisy on lower level near the pool .. Buffet breakfast disappointing.. staff friendly & helpful .. overall it was ok but would not stay there again

Amazing location with lakes on either side. Located on the Main Road (literally!) with ample parking spots. Friendly staff and immaculate rooms. Property was exactly as advertised on the aggregate websites. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Tons of other services such as sauna, spa, swimming pool, and complementary breakfast. And most importantly, Lakes Resort is very economical and one doesnt have to break the bank to stay here.

Clean and good amenities.

Lakes Resort was absolutely filthy! Never again! We checked in at 5pm, with our room being “cleaned” at our arrival, lucky we didn’t arrive for a 2pm check in. The attendant left the room with no cleaning trolly or products in hand. The room was unhygienic! And smelt as though someone had taken a fresh bowel movement in the toilet. The kitchen was covered in grime, the floor was sticky & covered in crumbs, the shower was wet and full of hair, the bedside tables dusty, the bed bases covered in god knows what: stains- (this is what we could see, we were too scared to see what was under the sheets). The blinds were broken, the fridge full of mould & the bathroom cabinetry cracked & water damaged. The parking situation is a disaster. We weren’t expecting to be able to park right outside our room, but the parking is so tight, with minimal room for movement. We parked on the street and risked the safety of our car, to avoid dints and scratches- or worse. Our “neighbors” played music and swam in the pool till all hours of the morning. The walls are paper thin & the blinds provide minimal privacy. If it weren’t for the friendly customer service of the lady on the front desk, running water and electricity, I’d be giving a rating of -5 stars! We’ve stayed in cleaner hostels! Take our advice, pay the little extra and stay at the Beachcomber down the road! What an absolute nightmare!
