Love the location. Love the hotel and the accommodations. The staff was amazing. My ONLY complaint is the parking situation. I don’t like being forced to valet park. I know this is the norm with most hotels these days, but I still do not think it’s fair.

We stayed here for an anniversary trip. The staff was so friendly and helpful the entire time. The room (King) was very comfortable and well equipped. There was some noise from the room above, but not too objectionable. The location was perfect for us, as we were never further than a 10 minute walk to our restaurant choices.

One of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in! From the second you walk in you are greeted by the most friendly staff & a welcome drink :) The rooms were so clean and cute. The location is perfect with just a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. I can't wait to stay here again!

The original room given to us was unacceptable, but thankfully we got another room that was much nicer and roomier.
It was silly that a TV would be on a wall not opposite the bed.
I liked the hotel, but I am upset that our 3rd night was at a rate $200 more than what Holtels.com quoted me.

This was a perfect location for our first trip to Charleston. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very comfortable and attractive. Nice breakfast every morning, great cocktails in the evening. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends.

I'm the type of traveler who always needs help. I can't find one thing, need more if another, can't figure out how yet another works. The staff at The Palmetto must be aware that traveling can be disorientating. They were endlessly helpful, and always friendly and gracious about it.

This is a great hotel. Great location. Beds are comfortable. There are many nice touches. Breakfast was good, great pastries and grits with all the fixings. Espresso Martini at the bar is top notch

We chose this hotel due to its close location downtown. The reviews do not disappoint! We had a really good time staying there and would highly recommend it to others. The room was very nice and clean, and they did a turndown service every day. Everyone was very nice that we dealt with from the person who checked us in to the valet. if you don’t want to valet, there is a parking garage behind the building. The hotel is also close to a lot of great restaurants downtown.

Neg- balcony - small, faces an alley and parking garage not Main Street,
Parking is a public parking garage - should be made clear in ad.
Check in -very confusing where to park to check in for larger suv. Never found it . Had to park in public garage and carry luggage over.

The Palmetto is great if you want to be in the heart of the French Quarter. However, there can be lots of outside noise as well as thin walls which means ear plugs are a must. Also, breakfast was not great. I did lots of walking and so more protein would have been nice to start the day. There are other options near the hotel though. I appreciate the great staff but will pick another property in the future.

Everything about the Palmetto is truly wonderful. Newly renovated just a few months ago. Perfect environment! The only negative was the cost of parking, but that is true of the entire historic district.

Palmetto Hotel is the premiere hotel to stay at in Charleston. Beautiful from the moment you enter the lobby to the rooms. Liam at valet is kind, greets you with a warm smile, and was extremely helpful. Staff was overall great. Breakfast included features coffee, tea and pastries which were delicious. Rooms were spacious and modern. Cleaning staff kept the rooms impeccable. Hotel is perfectly situated in downtown with easy access to all sites. Palmetto is a must stay

Easily the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Cocktails were fantastic, staff accommodating and incredibly friendly, and the rooms/facilities were spotless. Can’t recommend enough!

Was greeted warmly and after receiving room key, offered a complimentary cocktail. Valet brought up our bags & was so friendly and adorable (Brandon). Our turn down service was incredibly gracious; asking if we needed waters or towels. Front desk also very welcoming. Bar open 'til 11:00 and it was a chilly, drizzly night so this was most appreciated. Spoke to the hotel manager as we waited for our car to be brought around and guess what? Equally engaging and pleasant. Cannot wait to go back to the Palmetto. Have stayed at other properties on King and State Streets.
Hands down our new favorite. The people make this place glow.

Total over priced hotel total ripoff.
1st room very small had to walk sideways along wall next to bed never have i had such a small room pictures lie about this place. 2nd it was cooler there and we had no heat in our room as it was in the mid sixties in our at night. 3rd continental breakfast was a joke so small i had to eat muffins each day so not much and no variety at all.
Pictures of bar made it look good size was very small also. 4th tv was very limited with few channels so at night not much to watch if you wanted movies you had to stream Netflix if you had it which we did but not easy to set up.lastly when i got my parking valley charge it was for 55 a night what a high price as we pretty much dropped off our car and walked everywhere as we only took our car 1 time to go out the other to go home complete ripoff

Hotel is pet friendly if you want to pay $150 a night for it. Absolutely ridiculous! Rooms were very small! Beds hard.
