With the high-powered Subaru engine it is capable of keeping up on the interstate. Please keep in mind that this is a unique vehicle that requires more attention than a modern vehicle. Keep in mind that when going over mountain passes or steep grades it will slow down to maybe 40-45 mph. This is normal and part of the journey. Please do not push it too hard. Not able to go off road. Typical gravel roads maintained by parks departments are fine. Go slow and avoid pot holes. You want this vehicle because the Westy is a classic and single handedly started the original campervan movement. You will be turning heads at every stop sign and every stop light.
