A Dickens Christmas in Fernandina Beach was really a treat for me and my family -- so many things to see and do for all ages -- but especially the children. Then there was lunch at The Sandbar -- just a short walk down the beach from "the Little Big House" where we stayed -- even pictures with Santa on the Beach. It was so much fun and would consider it again! Merry Christmas.

The view of the ocean did not disappoint. We rented the house for our annual fall girls trip and one of our friends milestone birthday. We had plenty of room for the 7 of us without feeling cramped or on top of each other. Beds were super comfortable and house was well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of parking and within walking distance of restaurants & a park. We loved being able to walk out to the beach and got to witness a beautiful sunrise. Would definitely stay here again.

This property was great for our family. There are gates to keep the toddlers safe on the deck. Lots of beach toys, chairs, towels, including beach towels. There are no stairs on the main floor going to the lower level which was great for us with a toddler. No windows in the lower level bedrooms was great flor sleeping in. Each room has it's own air unit. The only minor issue was 2 bedrooms were a little humid. But we would definitely rent again. The property manager was very responsive. Loved sitting on the deck watching the sun come up each morning.

We enjoyed our stay & appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, 2 laundry units, lots of beach towels & chairs too. The boardwalk right to the beach was absolutely perfection. It was wonderful to be able to just walk into town walk to dinner and just walk on the beach. Would Definitely return. The property manager was very responsive a little bit that we needed them.

Great property for our large family. Loved the beach access and well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We had 15 of us and the property was comfortable and met all our needs. Thanks for allowing us to celebrate our 50th anniversary here. We even renewed our vows on the beach. Had a wonderful time!

The best thing about the property is the proximity to the beach and the beautiful view of the ocean on the deck in the back of the house. Also like the outside shower

The house is clean and functional for our children/spouses and grandchildren. The beach is accessible and not crowded even on Memorial Day. We found the kitchen to be up to date and two tables were helpful for our large family.

Most bedrooms are downstairs, three upstairs. Great deck space and close to a lifeguard. House was clean and well maintained. I have had the pleasure of renting from this property manager for several years and they are very responsive and fix any issue quickly.

The house is clean and spacious with a wonderful back deck to enjoy the beautiful view. Our party was small enough that we only used the top floor (so we were not affected by the separate entrance downstairs) and there was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids to enjoy the space freely. The downstairs bedrooms are a great bonus if you have additional family or guests. Grey location—the beach feels very private but the home is in walking distance to a couple of stores and restaurants, and an easy drive downtown.

The house is lovely, cozy and well-appointed. The location is superb, near the town of Fernandina and the walk from the house to Fort Clinch State Park is two wonderful miles on the beach. This was a perfect place ot relax and enjoy the sights and sound of waves and wind.

We enjoyed staying right on the beach! It was fun having a couple restaurants to walk too and downtown was a super short drive. House is perfect for multiple families- 3 bedrooms upstairs and 4 bedrooms downstairs. FYI- if you have younger kids there is not an entry from inside (upstairs) house to the downstairs. Almost like separate house which was nice since we had 3 families staying the weekend. House was stocked with chairs, towels, basic necessities… We definitely plan to come back!

Great location—on the beach and close to downtown area. Everything worked and manager was very responsive.

This is a top-notch location. Just steps from the amazing beach via a private boardwalk. House has everything you would need. Close to several parks and walking trails.
As others have mentioned, there is no inside stairway between main and bottom floor (you have to transit via the deck). Not a big deal, but you need to be aware.
This is one of the best times our large family has ever spent together. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed this property with extended family for a long-awaited gathering. Plenty of space and amazing location right in the beach. Walk to our favorite Driftwood sutsf shop and great spot for drinks and food at The Salt Life: we will definitely stay here again: Hosts were attentive and very responsive!

We were a group of seven 65+ yr olds on our 30th reunion. We change locations every year and chose Amelia Island for the beach, history, and access to lots of shopping and eating; we were not disappointed! This was actually the 3rd house we chose and ultimately picked due to the beach location and number of bedrooms. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that 4 bedrooms and 1 bath were only accessible via outside entrance from the other part of the house which was not mentioned in the VRBO listing. This might have prevented us from renting the property, but the beach access and views ultimately made up for the inconvenience. The downstairs rooms each have cooling/heating units which made it nice to be able to adjust individual temps for sleeping. The kitchen was well outfitted and has newer appliances. There is an air fryer, but we were unable to use it because there was no manual. Bathrooms were roomy and nice, 1 with a Jacuzzi tub. Lots of new bath and beach towels provided. Unfortunately there are hardly any towel hangers in the whole house - very inconvenient for a large group. Other issues - no closets in 3 of the downstairs bedrooms and no place to hang clothing except on the door frame; then you can't close the door. The 4th bedroom had a closet which was taken up by a washer and dryer. Dryers were full of towels/sheets which we had to finish drying and fold. The mattresses on many of the beds are too high (older bed frames with modern thick mattress on box springs). We had several people with mobility issues but were able to work around this problem by letting them use the lower bunk beds. Still not easy to get in/out of bed for the rest of us and, as there were no chairs in the downstairs rooms, nowhere to sit down to put on shoes, etc. Also it would be nice to have trashcans in all of the bathrooms and bedrooms. Many light bulbs were burned out or missing, especially in the living room ceiling. It would have also been safer after dark to have had a light by the outside back door to the ground floor entrance. Luckily there was a light shining down the outside stairs; a handrail would improve safety there. Overall, we were quite pleased with the house and our stay there. Addressing the issues listed above would make the stay even better. [All of the above are offered as constructive criticism for the host.]
