we were given the wrong code, which took a while to work out. The lock also is inconsistent and sometimes misfires. No bending on the check out time, despite it not being a busy time of the season.

Beautiful and scenic location nestled in the woods. Fire pit at night was awesome. Exterior is really nice. Very spacious inside.

Terrible directions to find in the pitch dark. Came to a Y in the 2 track road with a metal poke with the address centered exactly right between the two roads. Go left or go right? We chose right. Kept driving in the pitch black. Arrive at a building with NO address. The headlights shine on the building and it doesn’t resemble the pictures because it’s the side of the house with a garage. Stairs to go up to a door or try to get in on the side that has no light?! I climb the stairs and struggle to put in code (not given any instructions to press top button first or last etc. and all it does is spin 360 degrees. After 20 minutes I can’t open the door. I call the number in the email and they give me a code for a lockbox that holds a real key. I fumble in the dark to locate said box and open it up and NO key!!! My daughter arrives and fiddles with the door and gets it to unlock with the code. Very frustrating. We didn’t know if we were even at the correct house because NO address on the building! Wasn’t sure if some scared homeowner was going to shoot us thinking we were trying to break in. I looked in the window and shined my cell phone and thought it looked like the pictures… 2nd issue: you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the main level. NOWHERE in the property description did it mention this. My husband is disabled and is just starting to walk again in August after a year of 3 surgeries after he broke his leg and shattered his ankle. This needs to be noted for elderly and disabled people unable to climb stairs. The rooms were cold in late October.Baseboard heating not in all the bedrooms and one it didn’t work. So very chilly. 3rd Issue: NO window coverings on ANY window! Even the bathroom! Yes, it’s in the woods, but you don’t know if some creeper is watching you change and shower. Unacceptable! 4th Issue: Bedding and pillows are low quality/cheap. The furniture, decor, rugs, kitchen accessories etc are old and beat up.

The location was incredible! Only about five minutes from town, and loved the beach access down the road. I loved the seclusion from the road traffic, and the nature setting was beautiful!

The queen master matress needs to be replaced, TV in the basement or main floor would have been nice, windows looked really dirty and that is a main attraction for the place, kitchen skillets need replacment, and sweeping up the outside deck would have been nice (lots and lots of cobwebs , leaves, etc) which I had to spend my vacation time cleaning so others would want to hang out there.
