This hotel is only a couple of years old. Definitely a “no frills” hotel. No elevator, lobby, room service or any extras. It is very clean and cost reasonable.

Was up in Houghton visiting our daughter at MTU and stayed here a couple of nights. This hotel is very new and very clean and is close to restaurants and shopping in Houghton as well as the college. Our room was large and had a kitchen with full size refrigerator, cooktop, sink and some basic cookware and utensils. Everything in the hotel and in our room seemed new and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Only negative I can think of is there was no hot breakfast provided and no decaf coffee available but they did provide some pre-wrapped muffins and fruit near the desk. Overall it was a great stay and we would stay here again.

Stayed here for just one night and it was great. Our room was right off the entrance and it was still very quiet. Room was spotless. Bed was firm yet very comfortable. We used the iron and it was much better than mine at home. Both employees I came into contact with at the desk were very kind and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.

Very nice hotel. We certainly stay at this property again when we are in Houghton. One minor complaint.... The cable tv for the hotel does not offer PBS or CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) like other hotels/ B&B in the area. PBS and CBC are the only TV that we watch. We were able to watch PBS on our computers.

The property was a new development, which offered great benefits and services like complimentary coffee, tea, and pastries. The front desk representative was kind, polite, generous as she offered us a $10 voucher for Rock House located next door. The hotel room was spacious, clean, and looked like a mini studio suite with a full kitchen.

The room looked beautiful and the surfaces were clean. However, the floors were unswept and sandy you could not walk in your bare feet and had to literally wipe you feet on the bath mat I spread on the floor by the bed before you could bring your feet up into the bed.

We spent 2 nights and the stay was excellent at this newer hotel. Everything was spotless, room cozy and kitchenette well used. The price was right, too.
We will stay here again when visiting Houghton.

This hotel is very clean and modern. It is also very noisy. If you are on the bottom floor you can hear all kinds of noises from upstairs above you, not to mention tons of pounding noises, chair sliding, and door closing.

Only complaint:
They could use more parking and definitely better lighting all around the parking lot.
The weather was nice, so we ended up parking in a well-lit neighboring hotel, as we returned late and it didn’t feel secure to park on either end of the non-lighted hotel.
