The place was the perfect accommodation for me and my friends just wanting to have a relaxing few days in the mountains. There was so much space for all of us and the house was even closer to the water than expected. We were able to walk out to our own little pier. The house was walkable to the village which made going out very easy.

The House was in a great location, walking distance to the Village, restaurants, entertainment, Marina, and had a great view of the lake, it was a large area for a family gathering. There was issues with our stay, The owner locked the air conditioning, so it could not be used, we had to spray for ants, and spiders, one guest was bitten by a spider. A couple of bathrooms the water pressure was poor, the house needed a deep cleaning, spider webs were massive outside. The washer was broken. A few maintenance corrections and this place would be very comfortable.

Nice location

The location is the best thing going for this property at one time I’m sure this was a beautiful property. This property needs a little TLC. The washer dryer. Both broke, looks for sometime. We where only told a few days before coming into the property. It’s a very large property and I don’t believe it’s being clean properly. The beds were comfortable, but the linens in some of the rooms were dirty and I had brought my own linen. Thank goodness! The upstairs apartment is very nice and it is great to have a little separation with a large group, air conditioner worked upstairs, but not downstairs so in the summer the rooms are very hot , I did call for a fan and they did bring me one. There was one in the property already. We weren’t able to sleep up in the game room where the extra room was due to the heat. cobwebs totally covered the whole back part of the property. Mold in the master bathroom was noted and no screen on windows, so bugs came into the BR if you want to get fresh air. The kitchen did have everything you need to cook. It also needs TLC, the pans were all burnt and very hard to cook with and the stove had to be lit with a lighter in order to make it turn on. Overall the location is the best thing about this property. I think that if just a little TLC was applied to the interior, this would be a superior property. Over all we had a great time in big bear and being on the Lake was wonderful.

Great views and close to everything

The house was huge and the kids had lots of fun running around. The house is old and had a strange electrical system. Way too many unnecessary lights and switches. Felt like the furniture and overall status of the house was pretty old and needs some upgrading. The deck was full of spider webs as well. No bugs inside the house though, which we were grateful for. Location and view was great. With some upgrades on the house, we'd love to return.
