Nuestro "Sweet Retreat" ha sido cuidadosamente renovado para crear la escapada perfecta para ti y para quien tenga el privilegio de escapar contigo. Estamos ubicados a 9 casas de la playa, donde encontrarás aguas tranquilas y tranquilas, lo que lo convierte en un lugar ideal para tus pequeños y un tranquilo paseo por la playa. Después de un paseo por el encantador centro de Cape Charles (para cenar, comprar el recuerdo de sus vacaciones y hacer una parada en la tienda de golosinas, puede pasar su tiempo en la playa).
Nuestra casa cuenta con 3600 pies cuadrados de espacio para que usted y su grupo se extiendan y tomen un descanso entre los viajes a la playa, los paseos en bicicleta y la sabrosa cocina. El piso principal tiene dos salas de estar, un gran comedor y una cocina totalmente equipada para sus comidas de grupo, ½ baño, cuarto de lavado y una pequeña sala de juegos con una mesa de futbolín. En el segundo piso de la casa principal hay 3 habitaciones (2 King y 1 Queen, todas nuevas) cada una con su propio baño. El tercer piso es perfecto para todos los niños. En la sección trasera de la casa en el segundo piso hay dos dormitorios (1 cama Queen y 1 litera de tamaño completo) y un baño completo compartido. Se agregó una nueva ducha al aire libre esta primavera (2019). Se proporcionan sillas de playa y sombrillas. (8 sillas y 2 sombrillas)

We had a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect for our 3 families. We had 5 kids ages 1-5 and the house had everything we needed. It was a very short walk to the beach, and a short walk to the Main Street and playground. The house was clean when we arrived and the hosts were quick to respond for any of our questions. We would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity!

We loved the beautiful, old house with all of the necessary modern conveniences. Plenty of space for multi family, multi generation comfort. Evenings on the front porch were magical and we loved being able to walk to the beach. Perfect vacation ♥️

We had 7 adults and 4 children (ages 4 - 8), the house was perfect!! It’s such a cool old house. Everyone had their own bed and bathroom! This was our third year vacationing at Cape Charles and the first time we were out of the gated neighborhood. We rented golf carts and since we were so close to everything, it took no time to get to where we wanted to go, beach, play ground, brewery, ice cream, all the fun places.
We did reach out to the owners once about extra blankets and cornhole bags, they responded really quickly and got us what we needed within a few hours. This was one of the few houses that had parking in the back off the alley, which was perfect, since we had 4 vehicles.
The house has everything you need, except beach towels, don’t forget those like I did. LOL We did a lot of front porch sitting, set up the cornhole boards in the front yard, kids had fun playing on the foosball table, cooked lots of great meals in the kitchen and ate together in the huge dining room, played games and hung out in the comfy living rooms. I hope your group has as much fun as we did!!

This is our third stay with the Dail family at one of their Cape Charles properties. All stays have been rated 5 stars and this most recent stay was no different. We do not bother looking at other rentals as this owner is consistently in communication prior to the visit, always has a very clean house, and is easily accessible if needed during the stay. I have no negative comments and encourage you to rent one of the Dail properties. You will not be disappointed, they are top notch.

We loved it from the moment that we entered.
My husband and I were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary. Your home allowed our entire family minus one grandchild to be together. The front porch was in constant use and the location gave everyone the freedom to do what they pleased. The week was almost perfect.

Best Beach for Toddlers
Sweet Retreat is the perfect house for families with children. It is very kid friendly and has plenty of space. My 3 year old grandson loved the bedroom on the third floor since it had a "secret passageway." The beds and furnishings were very comfortable. It was nice having 2 living areas since my son-in-law had to work from home a few days. This house is ideally located near the beach and park. It is definitely a "Sweet Retreat!"

We loved our stay in Cape Charles and the house was amazing! We were on our annual family girls trip, but unfortunately half of our group had to stay home due to illness. We were still able to enjoy a quiet getaway and all of the local attractions. We can’t wait to return with the rest of our group.

This house has everything you need for the perfect stay. Charming, well appointed, clean, and perfect layout. We will be back and highly recommend Sweet Retreat to those looking for a place to stay in Cape Charles that’s close to the the bay and blocks from historic downtown.

We take an annual trip to CC and this is the second time we have stayed in this home and we were not disappointed! It’s a great house, plenty of room for two to three families to spread out, close to the beach and town, well stocked with everything you need. We will definitely rebook in the future!

Everyone had own room, most had own bathroom too! Lots of space. Great porch time. Bathrooms could use some hooks for towels n clothes. Night lights in halls would be great too.

Annual Trip to CC
We take an annual trip to CC and this is the second time we have stayed in this home and we were not disappointed! It’s a great house, plenty of room for two to three families to spread out, close to the beach and town, well stocked with everything you need. We will definitely rebook in the future!

Loved our stay here. Great house, very clean, plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked. Great location close to the beach. Wish it came with a golf cart, but other than that, we loved it and will go again.

Amazing
We were a big group of 12 and the house was great. We loved the location and the size of the house. It was fully equipped also! So many rooms and bathrooms and even TVs! We had a few small things but I called homeowner and he fixed everything ASAP! Will definitely stay again!

Couldn’t have had a better vacation home! House was absolutely lovely & just perfect. Owner was superb, answered questions immediately & actually replaced washer/dryer within hours when the washer acted up. Would recommend this time & time again!!!! There isn’t one complaint & 1,000’s of compliments on this house/location. Can’t say enough good things!!! 💖💖💖

We had such a wonderful stay. Everything was as described in the listing. One thing I think is helpful to mention about the bedrooms set up is that there are 2 wings to the house. The first wing you go up the main staircase and find both the king bedrooms (one has a large master bath with tub, one has a normal sized bathroom with tub), one queen bedroom (with a small attached bathroom - shower stall, no tub), and continuing up the stairs to the top you find the awesome bedroom with 3 twin beds and bathroom attached (tub). For the second wing of the house, there is a back staircase off the back living room that goes up to 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom: the remaining queen room and the bunk bed room. The shared bathroom has a shower stall, not tub. It’s a great layout, and I wanted to share that so others can plan in advance. We loved the amount of bathrooms and tubs, as bathing young children was a daily part of our vacation. Highly recommend this property, it’s so close to the beach! I recommend bringing an extension cord for charging your golf cart if you’re renting one and planning on bringing/buying water as we found the town water at all properties we’ve rented in Cape Charles to be pretty undesirable (comes out of the tap cloudy and from one faucet a little bit brown).

Great house.
We have been coming to the area once per year and will definitely seek this home to rent again. Perfect location. The house was clean w great charm. Along w having tons of space. The only flaw I can see if not having a fenced yard for the dog and kids but this would not stop us from renting in the future.

Perfect size and location
We had ten people (adults and teens) and it was the perfect size to relax, cook, and be together (with space to be apart too!). We loved the distance to the beach and town. Sunsets were amazing!! Cape Charles is a perfect family beach town. We hope to be back!

The teenage boys stayed in the room on the third floor. It was perfect for them. The younger girls stayed in the back room with the bunk beds. It was arranged nicely with another queen bedroom adjacent to it so that parents were in earshot throughout the night. The two living rooms worked well for our group. It allowed the noise to be kept to one area of the house in the morning. We would recommend this house to friends and family.

Great stay
This was our 2nd year renting Sweet Retreat. And we were equally happy this year as last. The house is spacious and had everything we needed. Having a bathroom for almost every bedroom is so nice. The two living room spaces is great so that kids and adults didn’t have to share the TV. The outdoor spaces were lovely after the sun went down to enjoy pleasant summer nights. It’s a short walk to the beach and to all the shops. We would gladly stay here again.
