The house is fabulous. We had a wonderful time. I love the kitchen and the 2 fireplaces. The dining room table is the largest one we have seen. It is wonderful to have all of us sit together for meals. This house is at the top of the list of homes we have stayed at. We stay at a VRBO's 3-4 times a year. I would stay here more often, however it books up fast. Thank you Nicole for another wonderful vacation.

We stayed here this fall and it was really beautiful - the house itself is comfortable for a large group allowing for people to have their space, yet also have great places to relax. The backyard is amazing and a big highlight. You have the lake, and while we weren't taking advantage of the amenities due to weather, it was still a great place to hang out and enjoy the view when we could. The hosts were very responsive and maintain the property incredibly well. Highly recommend.

We had three generations of the family. Very nice comfortable house accommodated us all. The children were delighted by the playroom. Swimming and kayaking from the dock was fun and enjoyed by all. Smores by the firepit was delightful. Also took a little day trip to Legoland, one of the children's biggest dream.

We spend 5 nights at this beautiful vacation home to gather with siblings & family. The house was just perfect for our gathering. Large, spacious home where everyone could spread out comfortably. Well equipped with thoughtful items to make you feel right at home. Lots of sitting areas that does not disappoint. The lake was gorgeous to wake up to and the neighborhood peaceful & quiet. The backyard leading to the lake has been very well thought out maximizing the hillside with 3 spacious flat areas set up for different activities. The swing, the fire pit, the canoes all of which we tried and enjoyed. The Game room was the ultimate savior during our rainy days. The hosts Nicole & David were very responsive & excellent communicators. Besides the consistent rain, we had no issues and feel this would be a perfect spot for you and family if you seek a soul fulfilling vacation.

We loved the spacious, well-equipped house; furniture was very comfy. We also loved the several outside seating areas (table & chairs, fire pit & swing, Adirondack chairs). We also loved the kayaks and the pretty, quiet lake.

We had a wonderful time at this lake house . The house was immaculate . The kitchen was well stocked to cook for a family. The outside space was great as well. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this property: )

We had a fanatastic time at Camp Summer Wind. The house was amazing with plenty of space and the perfect setting for our annual college/HS friends get together! Nicole and Dave were amazing and their communication was great! They made everything very easy! Really appreciate the organization of everything in the house. They have everything labeled so no need to go looking for anything! Awesome experience and we can't wait to go back! Thanks Nicole and Dave!

This was our sixth (!) visit to the Summerwind. We love the property, and it just keeps getting better! This year, the owners leveled and redid the fire pit area, which we really appreciated. We had perfect weather and peak foliage during our visit, and it couldn't have been better! The owners include little amenities like a coffee grinder and a cupboard of board game to make your stay amazing.

This rental was even more beautiful than the pictures show! Eight BFFs retreated to this home to catch up and relax a bit from the daily grind. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the home and the scenery was beautiful ... makes me want to return with family in the summertime to "unplug" and enjoy each other's company at Sleepy Hollow Lake!

A group of 30-something college friends and I reunited at Camp Summer Wind for a relaxing weekend away from the city and the home was even better than we imagined!! Nicole and Dave are a pleasure to communicate with; super responsive and keep the check-in and check-out process very clear and easy to follow. The home was extremely spacious - plenty of room for people have their own room/bathroom, VERY well stocked for cooking needs (likely the most stocked home I've ever stayed in), high end appliances, quality towels and linens (this goes SUCH a long way!!!), strong wifi, and absolutely stunning views and outdoor areas. Loved that the TVs had Rokus and that there were DVDs available as well - such a nice touch!
The views from the Adirondack chairs outside are truly beautiful and provide a peaceful setting for morning coffee/yoga/reading. We spent a great amount of time outside and loved the Weber grill.
We had a few in our party who immunocompromised and the home was absolutely spotless and very COVID safe.
For weekend activities.. we hired a chef to cook in the home one evening and the large dinning room was PERFECT. We also arranged for winery tour in the Hudson Valley through Hudson Valley Bucket List and it was a fantastic. Don't miss out!
I highly recommend renting this home as it could not have been better. By far one of the best home-renting experiences anyone in our party has had!

This house was well kept and had so many amenities to keep two families with young children relaxed and entertained. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We already plan on booking another trip next year.

Absolutely amazing vacation house and location! The house had everything you could possibly need and then some. The owners were amazing and super responsive. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. We were a group between the ages of 87-5. The main floor bedroom and bathroom was perfect for our 87 year old father. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit. The basketball hoop was an added bonus to the outside area. Plenty of seating inside and out which is nice with a larger group. We loved the board games the house provided and the books. Xbox was a huge hit with the kids.
The community of Sleepy Hollow Lake was amazing. We really enjoyed the lodge pool and the swimming beach. Kids and adults loved jumping off the dock! We also loved the tennis club area and would have spent more time there if it wasn’t so brutally hot during our visit.
We took some day trips. For those visiting the area and looking for things to do (even though you don’t even have to leave the property!) we walked the Hudson River Skywalk and took an easy hike to High Falls waterfall.
Do not hesitate to book this property if you’re looking for a relaxing lake getaway. We can’t the owners enough for making the trip easy from booking until check out. Exceptional service that made for a wonderful trip. Thank you!

Wonderful vacation with our adult children, and grandkids, ages 16+. The house was beautiful and was everything that was advertised and pictured on the VRBO website. We enjoyed kyacking, floating in the lake, great game room, where Grandpa surprised all with his expertise at ping pong and air hockey, movies in the media room, and just enjoying being together in lovely and serene surroundings.
There was a small housekeeping issue which we handled ourselves.
Nicole, our host was very gracious and helpful and was just an email away.The house is in a private community and the pools and lake swimming were delightful and very well maintained. It was a very very hot week and the water activity was very much appreciated.
I guess you can tell that we had a great time. We all left feeling very rested. Thanks for helping us to have such an enjoyable vacation. This was our first time using VRBO and we are very impressed.The house and surroundings were everything that was advertised.

THE BEST! Everything about this house and our stay was FABULOUS! Nicole and David have thought of everything for every age we were 5mths- grownups. We miss this house and family vacation already, to wake up and see the peacefulness of the lake and surrounding area was just what we all needed . Thanks soo very much…ok yes would have been exceptional if we had our own pontoon like everyone else on the lake seemed to have. Hahaha

This is the best home we have ever rented through VRBO. We vacationed with 3 families with 6 adults and 5 children between 2-12 years old. The home is absolutely gorgeous. There are endless activities for everyone to enjoy rain or shine in the house, the community around the lake, and in the surrounding areas. We enjoyed everything from ping-pong to the projection screens, to the fire pits, basketball hoop, and numerous kayaks. We also frequented the community's pools, beach, and tennis and pickle ball courts. The owners maintain the home extremely well with everything neat and labeled, making it very easy to enjoy all the home has to offer. The owners are also in very good communication so we can contact them any time for anything we needed. We really could not have asked for anything more. This home is a perfect vacation house!

This wonderful vacation home exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our family visiting from Hawaii & California for a wedding in Hudson. Besides the lakefront in a luxury home community with amenities, the home itself offered many spaces to enjoy for different purposes and times of the day. The owners was very communicative & accomodating. The kitchen was well stocked with incidentals. Super convenient location. We enjoyed kayaking every morning on the lake & the fire pit on a lovely summer evening. Ping pong table was fun too.

The house was wonderful. From booking all the way through check-out, the owners were really responsive and helpful. We don’t have anything bad to say and would rent this house again. The house is extremely clean, well kept, and had every amenity would could ask for. There are so many spaces inside and out to enjoy and we took advantage of them all. The location is wonderful as well if you want to explore all of the surrounding areas and small towns.

We had a a great stay at this property. Everything was as described and there was ample space and entertainment for everyone in our party. Traveling with an infant, it was wonderful to have a crib ready and waiting for us. The lake views were lovely and it was wonderful to sit by the fireplace in the evenings. Plenty to do both at the house and nearby to keep us busy during our stay. Overall, would highly recommend.

We stayed here with a few families, all with young kids, and had a great time. The house is excellently and thoughtfully appointed for everyone who may be there, including the kiddos - it has kid games, sleeping spaces (crib AND pack n play), kid and infant life vests, kid dinnerware, etc. The kitchen is actually stocked with everything you need to cook, which is not always the case in rentals.
It was a bit chilly, so we didn't take advantage of the lake, but the outdoor space is awesome - it would be a blast in warmer weather. Very close by are some family friendly attractions, like apple picking.
Communication with Nicole was easy and she was extremely reasonable. Check in / out was a breeze.
We loved staying here and hope to return some time!

This "SummerWind" rental home was very nice. Attractive, well-maintained, and pretty easy to navigate. The main attraction was that it was right on the lake, so easy access to the lake for swimming, kayaking, etc. The owners were very responsive to questions.
The lake (Sleepy Hollow), however, had major water quality issues. There was a massive blue green algae bloom during our stay that resulted in numerous notices/warnings. At one point, the lake was even closed for all use. One of our family members used the lake just hours before it was closed, and became quite ill the following day.
We would rate Summer Wind very highly, but for the substantial problems with the blue green algae.

We spent a delightful week at Camp Summer Wind which was enjoyed by all ages from infant to Grandma! The home is very spacious and easily accommodated our party, plenty of indoor space for the kids to run around and play when the weather was not cooperative. The adults spent lots of time enjoying the home theater after the little ones went to bed and the kitchen and dining room made for great family meals. The outdoor space is very creatively designed with features at every level. The kids (and adults) really enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking on the lake. The mornings on the lake were so quiet and peaceful, interrupted only by the sounds of the birds and jumping fish. We utilized the community tennis courts, pool, playground, and beach on multiple occasions. All are very easily accessible from the house. There is a fire pit for campfires and plenty of outdoor deck space for grilling and just hanging out. The hosts, Nicole and Dave, were incredible! They kept us up to date on community events throughout our stay and also answered any questions we had about the house. I would highly recommend Camp Summer Wind for any family looking for a fun and relaxing lakeside getaway.

We had the most incredible time! This house is beautiful and met all of our needs & more. There was plenty of space for everyone and we never felt as if we were in one another’s way. There is plenty to do, whether it be swimming, kayaking, making s’mores over the fire, or just relaxing on the hammock. Nicole and Dave are incredible hosts and made sure that everything was perfect. We will definitely be back! Favorite activity… kayaking hands down the best!! Thank you Nicole & Dave for helping to make our first ever family vacation a memorable one we will never forget

We had a very enjoyable time. We would have preferred to be able to walk to the beach and walk to the playground rather than constantly getting in the car. It was very hilly for the children to be able to walk anywhere. But the area was beautiful and we did enjoy ourselves very much. We would definitely try another vacation in the Catskills.

The home was more beautiful than the pictures. Everything was well maintained. Lovely kitchen, every appliance that you need. The rooms are well situated. Game room downstairs is perfect, allowed for the ones who wanted to stay up and play cards or games to do so without disturbing anyone in bedrooms. (Group of 12) Thank you for checking on us and providing everything needed! Can't wait to book again.

We rented this house with a small group of friends to escape the city for a long weekend. The house was perfect and so spacious. Nicole & Dave were responsive leading up to and throughout the entire trip and gave great recos for COVID safe accommodations in the area. We'll definitely be back during the summer to take advantage of the lake, but even during winter the house was so cozy. Really appreciated the small touches that made the stay special like a welcome basket, book signed by past guests and a super clear house manual. Can't go wrong with this rental!

This is our third year renting with Nicole and Dave- our first time with family. We typically stay between Christmas and New Year’s Eve with friends but that was not possible this year due to the pandemic. Instead, we booked a week to stay at Summer Wind with family. After quarantines and tests, we met up at the house with grandparents, 3 siblings and spouses, and 5 kids (2 infants, 2-, 6, and 8-year old). Everyone loved how the house was beautifully decorated. We appreciated being able to fit all of us around the dining room table, being able to cook all of our meals in the well-appointed and organized kitchen, and being able to all gather around the fireplace in front of the picture window overlooking the lake. They neighborhood was serene and offered us the opportunity to relax at the end of a very stressful year. When we desired to spread out, there was a space for everyone! The media room hosted movies and lots of lego-building for the kids. Downstairs featured dance parties, air hockey and video games; and we we all able to find a quiet nook to read, play cards or color. Nicole and Dave were extremely accommodating and communicative, as always, and we enjoyed having access to the crib and pack and play for the littles, saving us room in the car to carry home Santa’s surprises! There had been significant snow before our arrival but the driveway, deck and walking paths had been cleared before our arrival so we could enjoy the views and take a vacation from shoveling! The sleeping accommodations were perfect for the family, and everyone enjoyed refreshing sleep and showers. Nicole and Dave have thought about guest convenience and comfort throughout the house- with everything neatly labeled and organized and very clean. We absolutely love staying at the Summer Wind and appreciate Nicole and Dave as wonderful hosts. We will surely be back!

Unfortunately this property was more trouble than it was worth. On the third evening of our November reservation the house ran out of gas. This caused fumes from the bottoms of the tanks to fill the whole house, my family (including my 71 year old father) had to sit outside for 2 hours with the windows open while the house aired out. We were unable to cook anything for dinner, or our breakfast the next morning, as the stove and outdoor grill are all connected to the house gas tanks. Outside in the dark I had to go down under the house to manually turn off the tanks so that they wouldn’t release any more fumes. I wish I could say the owners were easy to communicate with and resolve this issue amicably, but they were hard to get a hold of while it was happening, and after the fact were unresponsive about coming to a settlement until VRBO stepped in to mediate (We asked that they reimburse us for the cost of one night, they offered to reimburse us for the cost of our dinner, not taking into account the stress or time and money we spent on groceries and meal prep). This problem was completely avoidable, no reason was ever provided as to why the house ran out of gas. Not the “luxury” experience advertised to say the least.

We were looking for a quiet, clean and fun experience and that’s exactly what we got. Dave and Nicole communicated with us daily to make sure we had a great time.Our kids had games, movies and local parks to enjoy. We also spent plenty of time on the beautiful lake in the kayaks.Each evening we were able to also enjoy the views while using the firepit to have Smores. We literally couldn’t have asked for a better time. The house is clean and has everything a family needs to have fun and enjoy a luxury experience in a beautiful lake community.Thanks again to Dave and Nicole! We plan to recommend this property and look forward to coming back again!

This was our first time visiting Sleepy Hollow Lake and the house exceeded all expectations. The layout of the house made it very communal for our families: large living area close to kitchen, a media room with lots of seating, and plenty of outdoor seating space. The house had all the necessary essentials, as well as small added bonuses like games and kids books that our toddler hasn't read before. The proximity to the lake doesn't get any better, and it was very easy to grab a life jacket and into a kayak. The owners did a spectacular job communicating all the house rules, including leaving a short, easy to follow house manual. They labeled all the cabinets, lights, thermostats, and other items which made it very easy for us. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our long weekend stay here, and my wife is already saying that we should pick a time next year to go back! Would highly recommend this house to anyone!
