VRBO had made typing error on the address and we were unable to find by VRBO address. I was able to reach owner immediately after the frustration with the address and every thing went smoothly from then in. We stayed over a week it was very clean had laundry facilities that were great and it was close to groceries, restaurants, pastry shops and of course taxi service. The terrace upstairs was a treat and I love the owners succulent plants

Nice little apartment in a great part of town! Plus a great supermarket just 2 blocks away. Very convenient to Metro & Buses. The apartment appeared clean & tidy, but the wood floors needed a good mopping. (Which I found annoying, knowing that every tenant is charged a cleaning fee). The furniture was adequate ( used Ikea quality). Although the Bunk bed needs a new mattress! A/C was barely able to keep up, as the sun beats in all morning. A wonderful working kitchen and good size Frig. ( Could use dish towels and a few utensils like a big spatula & a whisk.) The bathroom is nicely designed. The shower head needs some Teflon tape & the slide bar needs fixing as the head will slide down while showering. Be careful when washing dishes or showering as the water can get extremely hot all by itself.

We really enjoyed our stay so much! We actually stayed there twice during a recent trip in Spain. Two days when we arrived, and after our trip to Mallorca. Highly recommend. Especially enjoyed the roof tip terrace!

The property is well located, very quiet neighborhood. Lots of options around to have lunch and dinner. There is a bakery just in front, and a small convenience store next to the building. The apartment looks just like in the pictures. Fidel was very nice explaining everything related to the apartment, and the neighborhood. He also offered us a parking space in a garage 4 blocks away from the apartment, but there was parking space on the street also.

Enjoyed our stay in the apartment in Barcelona. Although the street is very busy, the apartment is in the back and extremely quiet. Good location for markets, restaurants and metro.

The flat was great for us, a family of five. Fidel was very serviceminded and waited for us at arrival. The tips about the restaurants in the nabourhood was also very useful. Finally we really enjoyed the roof terrasse. We can definitely recommend this appartment!

Location: 35-40 min walking to old town: La rumblas. Apartment can take 4 people, but the second “bedroom” is small and has only bunk bed. Kitchen and bathroom are dated. Parking garage is about 7min walking from the apartment and access to it is tricky. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The property was a perfect location to go in different directions to see what we wanted to see. We used the metro and we are walkers anyway but nothing was too far for us . The apartment had basic cooking equipment we struggled a little with lighting the hob and there was no kettle but we had the same in Valencia last year so it wasnt really a issue. Maybe a bigger pot for 6 or an extra one would of been handy and only found one tea towel but there was a washing machine which we used with no problem. Overall a lovely apartment with a lovely rooftop garden to chill in the evenings and the manager was very friendly.

Highly recommend this property. Fidel was an excellent host, responding quickly to queries, extremely flexible with our arrival time (we arrived later than initially planned and Fidel was very accommodating) and very thorough at check-in. The apartment is absolutely lovely - we were very pleased on arrival. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and as described. As a family with 3 children, the apartment was beyond our expectations and easily accommodated us all. Everything we required was provided including washing up materials and cooking essentials. Ideal when flying to a holiday location. The welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch and much appreciated! The terrace is convenient and a good place to have breakfast/afternoon drinks. The apartment is in a good location for exploring Barcelona with a metro stop close by. Fidel provided a number of local tips in a handy document including places to visit and good places to eat close to the apartment and slightly further afield (the local bakery is most definitely worth a visit!). We would definitely stay here again.

Best property we stayed in during our trip in Europe.Everything about this property is just awesome.First the host is great Mr Fidel is a very charming fellow with good English and very helpful and gave us some great tips,his apartment is very clean modern has 2 rooms big bathroom Kitchen is fully equipped with everything and the apartment is in good location.

Fidel met us at the apartment and explained everything we needed to know about it and gave us some recommendations for restaurants as well. The apartment was exactly as advertised and very comfortable for a family of 5. The terrace was a bonus! Would recommend it for anyone’s stay in Barcelona.

We are a family of 5 , and we spent a week at Fidel's appartment . It's very comfortable , well located , and it was really clean . It's a very bright appartment , decorated in a modern and colourfull way . Fidel was such a great advisor , gave us good tipis and welcomed us in a very friendly manner . We deffinetelly recommend it !

Excellent location close to numerous metro stations. Walk to Placa Catalunya for great shopping (about 15 minutes walk). Everything that you need for a family of four or more, is here. Spacious and great kitchen. Clean. Owner/Host was available when we arrived. Helpful about the area and where to eat!

"Three adults stayed at this property earlier this month -- May is a wonderful time to visit Barcelona -- and had a great time. First of all, the owners, Fidel and his wife, were very warm, helpful and gracious. The location is great. It's in a quiet neighborhood, with lots of small shops (as well as a large supermarket) and restaurants close by. It's just a few blocks to two Metro stops and there is also easy access to buses and taxis, so it's very easy to get around. And of course Barcelona is amazing. The Catalunya culture, wonderful markets, museums and Gaudi's wonders like La Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Parc Guell, etc. We highly recommend this property and it's owners!

We stayed here during Holy week in late April of 2011. The apartment was actually nicer than the photos show. Ceilings are high, the wood floors are lovely, and the kitchen, bathroom and supply closet were well stocked with basics and some useful extras like an umbrella and hair dryer. We had a problem with the hot water the first day, but were able to fix it (Fidel was out of town, but gave us the name of a neighbor who helped). The roof deck was adorable, but due to the weather we didn't use it. We appreciated the free WiFi, as well as the tourist brochures Fidel left for us. The location was just fine for our group, two adults and two teens. In fact, we didn't realize until the last day how close the apartment was to the Placa D'Espanya! The subway was easy to reach, the neighborhood was clean and seemed safe. We didn't cook much, but noted that there were a couple of small food shops nearby, plus a supermarket and a nice bakery a few blocks away. When I caught a cold, it was handy to have the pharmacy across the street. I'm not sure if I would recommend this apartment for people with disabilities because I can't gauge how well the smallish (by American standards) elevator would accommodate a wheelchair. One note: If you arrive in Barcelona via the Sants train station, you can probably walk to this apartment. We spent about 20 euros on a cab that took a roundabout route that probably was totally unnecessary.

We stayed for 4 nights in this modern, well appointed apartment over the 2010 Holiday with our family of 6. It was a little tight but Fidel was very accommodating in helping us and ensuring our needs were met. The location is a bit far to walk to Las Ramblas but the Metro is a block or so away - very convenient to travel all over the city!. We had a wonderful stay - thank you Fidel.

We stayed at Fidel's property for a few nights while we were in Barcelona. If you want to feel like you are living like a local, but still be very close to all of the tourist destinations then this is the place for you. There were only 2 of us in the property so there was plenty of room. Some of the amenities that you have here that you would not be able to get in a hotel or hostel are: Flat screen TV, full kitchen, laundry facilities and - a nice surprise - a charming rooftop deck. Even though you might not be spending a lot of time lounging on a deck while you are visiting - it is a nice place to relax, enjoy the weather and have your breakfast. The location is a short metro ride from everything, and the metro stop is literally around the corner. There are restaurants and grocery stores all within walking distance to the apartment. Fidel is a very nice man - he was extremely helpful - making recommendations about how to get around town, what to see and where to eat. The flat itself is very clean and well laid out. It is a very safe neighborhood - and even though you are on a busy street, the unit is in the back on the top floor so you do not hear ANY street noise. And because you are on the top floor, you do not have to worry about hearing anyone above you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fidel's apartment. He was ever so helpful, greeting us at the spotless apartment, allowing us to use his computer as we forgot to bring an important phone number, answering questions, making dinner reservations for us, and even leaving us with a bottle of wine, some tea and nibbles and even shampoo and laundry detergent! The apartment is in a safe part of Barcelona, conveniently located by two metro stops. It's quiet and safe and not touristy. The fact that Fidel has a parking spot is a definite bonus!! There's also a washer and rooftop laundry line, a big plus. The apartment is fully furnished and since it is a new rental, everything in the kitchen was new--the dishes, pots and pans, cutlery. It was a relaxing spot to kick off our shoes after walking all over the city. We know who to call the next time we're in Barcelona! Fidel!
