Just as described, super easy booking and very responsive hosts.

Enjoyed our time spent in Lake Lure. Beautiful house with unique wood interior. Lots of stairs and even though I had an elderly lady and a daughter on crutches with me, we managed. The only issue we had was with the tv. We could not get the dish network to work. We were so busy having fun we really didn’t even miss it!

The house was beautiful & well stocked.. from plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen amenities.. even spices in case you forgot them!!
The location is great.. close to restaurants, grocery store & Lake Lure.
Definitely recommend!!!

Comfy and inviting. Only bummer was very limited access to the lake.

Girls trip. Setting was pretty. Kitchen was well furnished and living areas comfortable. Good location. Felt as if we were deep in woods, but only a 1/2 mile from highway. Driveway was a little tricky. Yard could use a little maintenance.

House was nice, great location. None of the TVs worked, and the spiral staircase was not our favorite thing, but we had a great trip and would stay witht this group again.

This property is nice, but hasn't been used for awhile. It is surface clean, but could use a good cleaning. It did not have any working televisions as advertised and the kitchen has limited silverware if you intend to eat in. The yard and driveway need attention and maintenance for sure. It appears to be isolated, but the road traffic is clearly heard all night. Many of the doors are not operational and if you get them open, closing them is a challenge because the house has settled. Lastly, the upper floor is like a sauna and the lower level like a freezer, so pack accordingly. I will say reaching the manager was easy for other issues not mentioned. It's not awful, but it needs attention.

Loved it. It was eveything if expected it to be, as a cabin-in-the-woods. The amenities were as expected, and it appears that precious renters were respectful of the property.
The only negatives were that the only access to the ground floor was either down a spiral stairway or through the outside. Tough for the dog, but not a big deal.
I was very concerned with the condition of the deck, though. The largest portion of the space - where the grill, table and chairs were set up - was virtually unusable due to settling. It looks to have dropped a good 6" towards the road, and would creak when walked on. As the biggest on-property ammenity, i was disappointed with the conditiin, but was abke to occupy my time with other activities so it didnt ruin my time. My hope is that ownership continues the necessary repairs.

First the owner was very gracious to allow us to reschedule our trip. They didn't have to do that but we were so glad they did so we could experience this amazing log cabin home. It is in an excellent location centrally located to everything around Lake Lure. The home is very spacious and clean and perfectly set back so you feel like you are in the mountains. Definitely a place to stay/visit if you are planning a trip to Lake Lure.

We were in Lake Lure for a wedding. Great location with a lot of privacy. Plenty of room to walk our dogs!

We really enjoyed being near chimney rock. The cabin is up off the street, very close to the area. You feel secluded, yet very accessible to chimney rock. Beds were comfortable and we had hot water all the time. Internet worked well for emails, phone calls etc. we did stream one movie on their fire stick they provided. We did not try streaming two videos at the same time. The keyless entry was nice. There was a friendly Chamaeleon that enjoyed visiting once a day for a short period of time on the kitchen floor – but didn’t bother us as he was super cute. The cabin was clean. We loved the cabin decor and look. Overall an enjoyable stay and would stay here again!

Home layout and amenities were as described and perfect for our stay. Location was excellent and property was expansive and secluded. Minor issue with some bugs that we managed but it would not prevent us from coming back.

The house was in the back of the property with lots of room for our pups to run! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with the grocery store and town close by! 40 mins from Asheville. Over all the house was everything that we needed.

We had a great time at this beautiful home. It was clean and well kept. The whole family loved the cabin and it was a great central location to do some local sightseeing and it was a nice drive up to Asheville. We would definitely stay again.

Very nice house. I loved my stay. I appreciated the peace and quiet being one with nature.
Upstairs bedroom needs A/C for summer months.

There were some issues that I addressed with the rental manager that I trust have been reviewed and fixed. Approach the shower on the main floor with caution, it took forever to drain. Check the grill before you turn it on, it may light itself in fire. Bring dish soap and garbage bags - basics you would think would be available, but are very limited. And make sure you have all of your own toiletries (I always do, however, many rentals provide basics like travel sized shampoo/conditioner/soap. So if you’re accustomed to that, take note.) The property is nice, the cabin is a little odd, none of the light fixtures or switch plates match. The lighting in the kitchen is a little challenging in the evening. Every level has a drastically different temperature, but one thermostat. And don’t plan on watching television at all, unless you enjoy home shopping channels.

Great secluded spot. Plenty of room to roam. Did need garbage bags tho which were not found.

Let me just say that this place really was the perfect hideaway for our week in the woods! I'm not really an outdoorsy person, and this cabin was the perfect compromise for my nature loving husband! We came with 3 kids (ages 5, 8 and 10) and a dog - it was ideal! PLENTY of room - there is a limit of 6 people but could have easily slept 8. Its nestled away with lots of land so we didn't need to leash our dog either!
I felt that there were only a few minor negatives:
- the EXTREMELY steep driveway I'm not sure a sedan would make it up (which was no issue for our large SUV so I am not taking stars away)
- There are very steep open curved metal stairs going from the main living floor to the bottom level which was very scary for me to watch my kids on. I didn't let my dog go down them, there are gates on the top and bottom as well as extra baby gates so the owners have taken precautions. There was plenty of space for us elsewhere and since the bottom floor had exterior entrances we worked it out no problem. Some families / groups just need to be aware of this.
We will absolutely be coming back to the area, the only reason we'd stay somewhere else is to be lake front, but other wise we would happily return to this property.

I loved it so much. You all really made our year with this property for our mini vacation. Also I left a tray there and was wondering if I could have it mailed to us?

Lovely cabin among the trees very closet to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Very spacious home with lots of space to relax, dine, and play games. The home had everything we needed plus more. Such a joy being here, thanks for sharing with us!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Great amount of space for the 6 of us. The fireplace is so cozy and finding wood in town for the weekend was so easy since the ingles is right down the road.We loved spending our evenings by the fire playing games and listening to music. We cooked at the cabin mornings and evenings and found pretty much everything we needed. While the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we’ve had during a VRBO stay, the skillets could use to be replaced. The 3 available were very worn and not really usable. We all found the beds to be comfortable (a little soft for the guys) the ceiling fans in the bedrooms are nice since we all sleep with fans when at home. The Cabin does stay pretty chilly unless you get the fireplaces going in the upper and lower level. Maybe bring some slippers if staying in the winter months. Lots of blankets about though to cozy up in.Bathrooms all worked great and had plenty of super soft towels and makeup towels. Plenty of hot water. We had four wheel drive vehicles but honestly coming up the drive it seemed better to not use it. I don’t think the grade of the drive is as much an issue as the tight turn at the top. Our F150’s terrible turn radius made that adventurous but it was really fine. Great location to explore chimney rock!

My family and I had a great week at this property. The location is very secluded and still close to everything in the area.

The Cabin had everything you need to be comfortable. Plenty of room for all six adults. I am a professional Chef and I didn't need for anything in the kitchen, it was set up perfect. Everyone enjoyed the accommodations. If I could add one item it would be a TV in the living room above the fireplace. The driveway was a bit difficult to traverse but since it didn't rain at all our vehicles did fine. I would definitely rent this cabin again.

This is a very nice log cabin style home with recent renovations. It's very comfortable and cozy. Our first day at the lake was the end of a tropical storm and we enjoyed sitting by the fire, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, and soaking in the master bedroom jacuzzi tub. It is close to a big market, the only restaurant on the lake, and the main beach where we booked a boat tour. It's also convenient to Chimney Rock State Park where we spent the afternoon hiking. The only possible issue could be the steep driveway which if we didn't have a four wheel drive SUV, we wouldn't have made it all the way up the driveway to the house. Also, it would be nice if there was seating by the fire pit.
