House was well stocked; grill only partially worked but rental company did promptly come out to help address. Bedrooms and overall layout was nice and very functional. Pool was shaded and was very cold.

The house worked well for our family vacation which included five children under four years old. The house was updated and we appreciated the ice machine, two refrigerators, and outdoor shower. It was closer to the beach than we had expected which was a nice surprise. As much as we liked the pool, we were concerned about it as we didn't know how to turn on the filter system and felt the water sat stagnant. The family got sick after the vacation and we wonder if it had to do with the lack of filtration or chlorine.

We stayed at this property in 2020 and it was immaculate and newly renovated/refreshed. It was beautifully furnished and the kitchen was wonderfully appointed. It’s an easy walk or bike to the beach and the small pool was a boon during that pandemic summer. We were so happy, we booked again for the same property this year. A year can make a big difference. The house had not been well-cleaned upon check in; Akers Ellis responded immediately and had cleaners come out the next day to clean the bathrooms, kitchens, etc.. The bedspreads, pillow shams, household rugs, and dining room chairs could all use a good cleaning. The washing machine was so filthy that we actually had to clean it by hand before using it. A number of things weren’t working - busted gas line on the grill, rickety door on the ice maker....To their credit, Akers Ellis was incredibly responsive each time we called...and we called a lot. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will continue our annual summer pilgrimage to Kiawah, however, we definitely won’t rent this house again.

The house was large and well furnished. We had three families staying the week, plenty of room for all the kids and adults. The two refrigerators was a huge bonus and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and cookware. The pool was smaller than expected but was nice for a cool off. The kids loved the outdoor shower. The house was a 5 min bike ride to beach access 30 and 15min ride to night heron. Would rent again !

We had a great time, the house was spacious and clean and had most everything we needed. The only issue was the oven wasn't working properly and we couldn't get the grill to light even though there was a spark, but we called and while they weren't able to help on a Saturday night, they did call us back. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

We had the best experience from start to finish. We has an issue with our heat and Akers Ellis and the heating and air people came out immediately and could not have been nicer and more willing to get the issue fixed in a hurry. Thank You for that. Bike rental credit was a great add on and bikes were in great condition and very comfortable. We would come back again and hopefully stay in the same house, if not the same house we would rent and recommend from Akers Ellis again!

While we’ve been vacationing at Kiawah together for some time, this was the first year staying in one house. We were accommodated beautifully, the kitchen was so well appointed, and the small pool was the hit if the week! The kitchen hadn’t been cleaned to our satisfaction at check-in so we made a quick call to Akers Ellis and they came within minutes to clean and sanitize the entire area. A quick walk or bike ride to the beach...you can’t go wrong with 174 Glen Abbey!
