Communication with host, Cece was great. Unit was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. Close to nice restaurants and shops.

Super convenient location, literally half a block from the ocean and a block from the farmers market.

Nice to be able to walk to town. Everything was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The sofa was lumpy and we could never get the TV channels to work but we weren't in our room very much.

Hotel was as listed. Did not like Kona

This property is as a nice place to stay after a long flight from St. Louis, Mo. Small, but clean and well appointed.

Proprty was clean, bed was comfy and is right in the heart of Kona so could walk to restaurants. I am a tea drinker so having a kettle would be good.

A lovely place to stay in a central part of Kona with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. My only feedback is the door to our unit was not easy to open and close, it stuck and made a terrible loud sound when opening and closing. It was terrible enough for me to mention it here. Otherwise a great place to stay while in Kona. The host responded quickly when contacted and that was very much appreciated. Mahalo!

If you are a business traveler this little condo has everything you need. Walking distance to restaurants, quiet at night, robust WiFi, good access to main roads.

The front door was very sticky to open, everything else about the condo was great. It was very comfortable.

The proximity to restaurants and shops was really convenient. We enjoyed walking around town and not having to pay for parking. The room itself was just what we needed for one night in Kona. It was quiet and comfortable for being so close to the bustling downtown area.

Room was very nice but the deodorizer was a major problem. Iron gate door in addition to heavy metal door for safety. Good location for walking to shops and restaurants . The property needs some attention. Checked out on time waiting in lobby for Uber. They said they lost key to bathroom made no attempt to resolve and would not let us back in room or an alternative. So.. room was nice “resort” staff was not … property manager has not got back to us with name of deodorizer/cleaning product.

One of the best anniversaries ever and the perfect location to walk and see the strip. Thank you and would love to request the same unit next year.

This condo was a perfect location for our stay. Centrally located right on the main street where all the shops, restaurants, and beaches are. You really wouldn't even need a rent a car if you stay here, unless you plan to tour other parts of the island on your own. Room was very clean and well equipped. Bed and sheet were comfortable. Pretty much turnkey. Check in and check out were easy. We even were offered a last minute upgrade at no charge and ended up with an ocean view for our stay. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting a great stay with lots of amenities and right on the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay here!

A perfect, simple spot - couldn’t have had a better location, it is just a few steps from the ocean as well as the best restaurants and shopping in all of Kona Well worth it, recommend!

This studio was just the loveliest little place and I am super happy I booked it! The unit is perfectly situated in the middle of the property overlooking the pool and beautifully landscaped grounds. Interior was clean and adorable and super comfortable. The host was easy to get in touch with. So much love!

Aloha, The Kona Islander Inn is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Kailua Kona. The front desk staff is wonderful and extremely friendly. The pool and hot tub are very clean and enjoyable. We would go out of our way to exit the property through the garden every time. The balcony of the unit is dirty, so wear your shoes. We wished we had a swiffer. However this where we spent our mornings and evenings, its a super enjoyable space away from the bustle of Ali’i Drive. The bed is super comfortable, we found ourselves waking up to sunrise naturally everyday. The kitchen/bathroom space is adequate. We could make breakfast and lunch without issue. The pool and hot tub are rarely busy, and a well kept space. The staff works hard to ensure well kept grounds. There will be bugs as your hanging out around a congregation of people in the tropics, butIi would highly recommend this unit and the Kona Islander Inn. Mahalo

Mixed tenancy in this property long and short term renters. The room pics were pretty promotional and not a accurate representation. They have done a decent job updating a old property to livable space. Proximity was pretty good most everything was within walking distance. Hearing the waves late at night was cool hearing the cars not so much.

My boyfriend & I hopped over for a short weekend, visiting from Kauai. We knew the area well, but did not realize how close the complex was to all of our favorite resturants and shopping. The studio is small but cute and well maintained and enough room for us to sleep, as we holoholo'd the whole time we were there. One issue occured when we got there: the cleaners cleaned the worng room and ours was dirty when we checked-in. The host Cece, herself, cleaned it herself immediately and we swam in the pool until it was ready. We we not in a rush anywhere so it was not a major deal, but we were grateful is was handled right away because we were ready to get unpacked and settled. We would stay there again on our next trip back to Kona. Mahalo Cece.

Owner was responsive and helpful. The place was perfect for what we were looking for.

The room was very clean. I was nervous after reading poor reviews of the Kona Islander Inn. I am happy to say, the front desk workers were helpful, the room had everything we needed. We were able to contact Cece and check in an hour earlier than advertised. The grounds at the Inn were well maintained. It was a very enjoyable visit.

I booked 2 nights at the beginning of my vacation. Check-in was easy. I went to the room. It was not the 'Contemporary Studio.' It was basically a 2 bed hotel room. I think this was a prior hotel that was converted into 'condos.' Depending who the owner is of each condo you will differences in amenities. Therefire ther was not a true kitchenette; no 2 top stove top. 1 bed was broken. On the plus side it was in front of ocean with an unobstructed view. I spoke to property mgmt assistant and they were previously made aware of broken bed. Yet, nothing was done about that.
