The location is within walking distance of La Rochelle port. However, behind it arr lots of unexpected high rise flats so a little intimidating if alone.

It’s difficult to find albeit a very short drive from the airport. No parking but it’s easy to park on the road. I was greeted and kindly helped with my suitcase up the steps to the front door and stairs to the room. Told if there was any problems the owners live downstairs and to just ring or email. The weather was cold and raining. The TV did not work, the room was very cold. I rang and emailed but no response whatsoever. The instructions were on the back of the door in French only. In the morning I saw the lady who greeted me the night before but she did not mention my emails or calls at that time. I told her the room was very cold but she said the heating is turned off at the beginning of May (seems like no matter what the weather is like). I later received an email apologising about the cold room.

Beautiful lounge area, lovely helpful hosts, comfy room and short walk to the port area :-)

Spacious room on the edge of town. Easy to park nearby and walk into town. Helpful at checking recommending places to go and restaurants to try.

Lovely place and convenient location, a few minutes from center town, historical location and lovely beach. Pleasant owner and staff. Delicious made with love breakfast. As an extra bonus cozy garden and barbecue area available at the hotel.

It will be beneficial to have a choice to hire beach towels

A beautiful house and a fantastic breakfast. The host couldnt be more helpful. Bicycles was great too. Loved our stay here!

Brilliant location ,easy walk into Old Town /Beaches. Staff very helpful and even found us a place to park the motorbike. Excellent breakfast too. Don't think you'll get better value in La Rochelle.
