The venue is very pretty and so is the units, except for the fact that it was raining and the patio's roof leaked in such a bad way that you couldn't put your head out the door nor could we use the braai facilities.
We asked for a cot, reminded them by a phone call the day of our arrival, asked at the desk when we got there and the cot never arrived. The patio was leaking and we called reception to come and look at the problem, the problem could not be solved so we tried calling numerous times to ask to change our unit but no calls were answered. I left numerous messages for Johan, their manager, to call me back and I am still waiting.

I loved the location and the stunning mountainous views. I liked how easy and accessible the facilities were especially the cleanliness of the accommodation. The staff members are friendly and accommodating.

The resort and amenities were excellent.
The waiting period to be served from the restaurants and then waiting for your food, shocking. Not sufficient staff I think.

Beautiful place and scenery. Excellent facilities that we didn't enjoy to the fullest. Neat and clean place.
The fact that check in is at 4pm and NO late check out is allowed even though the resort was completely empty! Covid is over long ago, change this time. Also realize the fact that during winter sunset is 5.30! We only spent 1 night and didn't get to enjoy most of the facilities available as after check in there's only an hr do actually enjoy the resort. Staff are extremely strong with the check out at 10am and even wanted to charge R100 per hr if we checked out late! Quite a put off! I've never experienced this ever with Tsogo Sun when we requested late check out, they've always accommodated us! Also taking everyone ID numbers at check in is so unnecessary! Drop all the dumb Covid rules and move on. We not entering a prison that we need to give every persons ID etc. Make it a pleasant experience to check in and out. It's a leisure resort!!

I liked the outdoor views.
The river and mountain view.
I didn't like the surprise R1500.00 deposit required during check in.
Don't agree that the refund should take 14 working days especially because this a hidden cost.
I hated the check in and out times, required to be out by 9h30 after checking in at 16h00.
It sure is not value for money.
Suggested check out time os 11h00am.
I would not recommend it for a 1night stay.

The location and the quietness
The check in time is really late and yet they are not open for late check out, which is unfair. The bed sheets had stains, bed not so comfortable.

The kids loved it, the resort is very safe for kids to walk around and play on their own. The chalet is fully stocked with everything that you would need.
Our upstairs bedroom in our chalet has very noisy floor boards, you almost feel like avoiding to walk coz they are so noisy and can be heard throughout the whole house.

Spacious, quiet and vey safe
Too many bugs in the lawns and even in the rooms. I think the resort is very dated and need some upgrades.. Really need wifi at the resort .

Perfect location. The chalets are spacious and fully kitted with everything you need and want. You can do so much on the property, from heated pools for the kids, a spa, and walking trails just everything for adults and kids.
The restaurant is ok but the food is not the greatest.

The surroundings are beautiful. There are lots of activities to do. The restaurant prices are reasonable.
There are too many rules. Every sign is about rules or "the current policy". You feel very unwelcome when you arrive and have to fill in forms and sign papers about rules. There is a R1500 breakage deposit payable upfront which is excessive. You have to fill in an inventory checklist when you arrive right down to number of sheets on the bed and shelves in the fridge. It is like no one trusts you. We haven't had to do this at any other self catering place. 4pm check in time is ridiculously late. Should be 2pm latest like every other place. You shouldn't have to pay extra for activities or the safe in the room. Overall the place would be much better if they trusted guests more, reduced the breakage deposit and changed the wording on their signs. Instead of "The current policy states..." rather use "We hope you enjoy your stay, kindly note that...". Have signs saying "Welcome to the pool area" instead of the first thing you see being a signboard with more rules. The restaurant staff also seem very demotivated as they have to share tips. Also tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper should be provided in the rooms even for self catering. We wouldn't visit again simply due to the overall tone of the place and the feeling of mistrust.

The tranquility of nature plus the comfort of the chalet and the restaurant
Only being able to enter at 16:00 and having to leave at 10:00. Would have been nice to be able to enter from 13:00 or 14:00

Everything about the resort is great.
The construction infront of our chalet was bit irretating at times.

Loved the trees and monkeys.
On arrival they informed us that our booking wasn't on their list. Had to wait whilst they tried to get hold of someone after hours.
