Very clean room. Quiet. Front entrance closed for construction. Overall good and I would stay there again

I was suspicious when we drove in to the hotel and half of it was heavily under renovation. I was assured that the renovation would not interfere with our stay. They were right! The hotel seems to host some longer term tenants, possibly migrant workers or international students. Fine. Until they had a gathering to celebrate the end of the week. I was traveling with my family for a tournament. We were in bed with lights out by 10pm. The people in the adjoining room hosted a gathering that started mildly around 9pm and progressed. By 2am the laughter, music and shouting had passed the level my earplugs would temper and we had to request the front desk staff to shut it down. It quieted for 10 minuted and slowly built back up an untollerably loud level within the hour. Someone else then knocked on their door and it seemed to shut down. The purpose of the trip was to rest well before my competition, which specifically did not happen.

Staff was friendly and property was clean. Unfortunately I did not have good experience because other guests were very loud and I was put in a connecting room where I could hear every thing coming from the other side. I had to call the front desk to get them to ask the other guest to be quiet, they did answer me and spoke with the other guest and the problem was resolved.

If you just want a place to rest. This might be your place. It was under renovation for the exterior but really needs an interior overhaul and maybe that will come next. Hotel had a definite foul odour. It also seemed to be a residence of sorts for some of the patrons. Way overpriced for the condition of hotel at least during our stay. Unfortunately we won’t be going back.

Was a loud party happening next to us on first night and so was not able to sleep. Staff said they didn't notice the noise when they did their hourly rounds. Not many dining options in area. Far from downtown.

Check in took 25 minutes. Extremely poor and not enough staff on the front desk.

The bathrooms were very clean and the room was clean as well. The bathroom fan was very loud so we were to afraid to turn on the light. Was a bit noisy at night due to some of the other guests but thats at no fault of the staff.

The property was under construction when I booked it I was not aware of this! Our overall experience was good, clean room, nice beds, comfy pillows. The breakfast was served, and it appeared you could not have too much of anything! when I stayed at another Comfort Inn in Goderich you served yourself, as much as you wanted. The $200 deposit fee was high I felt, for a one night stay!

Room rate too high for what was offered here. Refugees are staying at this hotel. Construction in progress with main entrance not accessible. Main floor was not secure as the side entrance facing street was wide open for anyone to walk right in - again due to construction. Route to side entrance from parking lot obstructed by construction materials. Accessibility not great. Traffic noise disturbed our sleep because of assigned room at front of hotel facing busy trucking route. Sliding glass doors let too much noise in. We also found the lumpy pillows uncomfortable. Breakfast quite disappointing because management was unable to provide milk for the breakfast cereal chosen for our breakfast. We were informed that there had been other guests who had already been for their breakfast and so the milk had to be restocked. We were out of luck! There was no apology made and no attempt to replenish the milk so that we could have breakfast - not just the earlier, more privileged guests. It was only 7:30 am and we noticed there were not a lot of guests staying at this hotel at the time of our mid-week stay. We sat there until nearly 8:00 am. and still no sign of milk. The hospitality was indeed lacking and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice stay in Guelph.

not in a great area, feels unsafe, had people in the halls partying/hanging out right outside our door, so it was super noisy as well.

I enjoyed my stay after a day of driving. Lots of restaurants around. Free breakfast was good.

Expedia did not inform me this property under construction. Only one staying here are the work crew and they are drinking outside property and lobby. Rude employee has nerve to charge a $200 damage deposit for this dump and tells me if I lose room key it’s a further $20. Horrible, horrible experience. $235 a night is obscene

Active construction on the hotel exterior, that we didn't know about, limited options for breakfast, room had strong smell of bug spray.

Bedrooms should have been cleaner. The sheets did not look clean.

In our room 109 we couldn't park outside of our patio door. Construction had our parking spot fenced off. As far as noise, my sister and husband stayed in 145. At midnight they had to complain to front desk about noise. Ontop of their room and both sides had many people that came through patio doors of the room beside her to continue the party. By 1am the noise calmed. Why wouldn't the front desk do a walk around from quiet time to stop these parties. Visitors did not go through front desk but to those other room patio doors. My sister was crying from being kept awake. Being the driver, she had a 5 hour drive ahead of her with no sleep. She will not be staying there ever again. I doubt we will be too. No supervision of the ongoing parties. Ridiculous!!

Best place to stay in Guelph. Perfect all around.

Impossible to open window/ patio door. No screen on ground level patio door. Receptionist not willing to give us another room instead despite me mentioning that I have a serious lung issue and need to be able to open the window. He said absolutely all rooms are booked -although there are only 5 cars in front of the hotel. Seemed he did not care at all, didn’t want to go to the trouble to see what can be done. Disappointing.

Clean quiet comfortable

There was a party going until 2 am right outside in the parking lot from the guests inside the hotel. There was drinking and smoking and loud noises. We called the front desk several times and nothing was resolved. We finally called the police at 3 who came and took of it. We can two young children needing to get up for a dance competition at 5:30 am. We spoke to the front desk at check out and they did nothing for us. Normally quite happy with Comfort Inn's but this was a horrible experience.

Everything was satisfactory.
