This hotel left me totally speechless. No water pressure in shower, had to go to the gym for shower. Gym was in awfull outdated dirty condition. Lockerroom was even worse. Then got a fine for parking. When checking in, I had to leave the vehichle registration number but I was never informed by the check in person that parking is chargeable. Why should I ever visit this hotel again?

Easy access and parking, tricky to get out in the morning though. Room was ok, friendly staff, radiator gurgles so switched it off. Boiling hot room even with window open, otherwise ok

Handy for M6 Jnct 15. Good, free parking. Hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren really, spread over a large floor area with steps between different wings on what should be the ground floor - not good if you have difficulty carrying your luggage up or down half and dozen steps. Evening meal was ok but the choice for the inclusive dinner/breakfast option was limited and you could not pay a supplement to upgrade to the a la carte menu, which you can at some other IHG hotels. Small bathroom and the shower screen leaked plus the fan did not work so the room steamed up. Clearly, another guest had similar problems and made the mistake of opening their bathroom door before the ‘fog’ cleared - they set the fire alarm off at 06:40. Good choice for breakfast and all the staff were extremely friendly and efficient throughout our visit.

Service was fantastic the staff were friendly, helpful and gave us additional things eg. My son wanted an apple and so I went down to see if they had one I could buy and they just let us have some apples.

we were is room 319 which was a long way from reception with 2 changes of level involving staircases. There was a large crack up the wall in the bedroom and the bottom of the shower room door veneer was splitting due probably to condensation in this tiny bathroom The room was very cold during the night and in the morning at 6.30am the shower water pressure was pathetic both hot and cold. The toilet paper was paper thin so twice as much needed to clean oneself. Not a great experience

Good staff but not enough of them. Struggled to replenish breakfast items such as milk, bacon, hash browns and water for the tea urn. Took a long time to checkout

Room warm and clean on arrival and breakfast was excellent

Not far from the M6 which was convenient. Bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. Very clean. Definitely would stay there again

I wasn’t there for long so it was fine for what it was. The room was clean and comfortable. The tv didn’t work unfortunately. The gym was good for the morning but maybe a little worse for wear in terms of equipment, just needed a little tlc but the staff were lovely

Every single memer of staff we encountered, from every team, was so friendly, helpful, and good- humoured. They seemed to take real pleasure in making each individual guest feel relaxed and special. The morning muffins and juice in reception were a nice touch too. Loved the pool All this more than made up for slightly battered decore. Would happily stay there again.

Very very tired hotel, Rooms clean but badly worn. Gym cramped and dated. Room air con cut out pretty much straight away leaving room unbearably hot. Water pressure minimal nearly impossible to shower. Breakfast quality awful, sausages textureless jelly, bread not very fresh. Shame as staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, would have mentioned issues but due to our schedule we were out late Will stick to premier Inn at J16 in future

Excellent gluten free choices, children catered for really well with bowls,eating utensils and different high chairs. Staff obliging and engaged. Breakfast one of the best.

We had a fantastic stay. Service and food was great. Property does require some maintenance externally, and fire escapes to back end of property. Map location link needs to be altered as we followed this and not the name of the hotel, which took us down to the pharmacy further down Clayton Road. Great location, easy access to A500 and petrol station with car wash and e-charge facilities.

Room we were in was a bit tired looking (304) but everything else was good.

I didnt like the struggle it took to get luggage to and from the rooms. Hotel is not wheelchair friendly. Lots of stairs, long corridors and no lifts or assistance available to help with luggage.

The room was quite dated with scuffs & scrapes on the wall and marks on the paint work. Very low quality hairdryer. Everything could do with a lick of paint. Room was standard but on the small side. No milk on the tea tray I had to search for some. The cooked breakfast was poor quality and not hot although there were others choices. The pastries were nice.

The staff were amazing, incredibly friendly and helpful . The room was comfy, especially once we worked out howthe aircon worked. The pool was a welcome addition too.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. I stayed here with my young family and can honestly say it was one of the most pleasant hotel stays I have experienced. I will definitely stay here in future.

The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the wifi worked. The room service pizza was awful. I got back at midnight and tried to order some food at the bar which was still open. They said you can't order from here, you have to order from the app in the room. Ok. I went back to the room, ordered a pizza. I was tired and hungry. Eventually (after about 30 minutes) I'm almost asleep, trying to stay awake and fearful of missing the door knock, however the phone rang - oh we don't have any ham for your pizza, do you want pepperoni instead? Well, not really but i guess I'll have to. So another 30 minutes went by and the thing finally shows up. Really grim. A greasy slab of bread and cheese with whatever they had left in the back of the fridge. It was a strong contender for worst pizza ever. My italian friends would have sued for misrepresenting their country. it was an insult to a thousand years of mediterranean culinary expertise. I still ate it. I was that hungry (there were no mcd's or similar around for miles.) Bah. And it cost 20 quid!!!!!! £17.50 plus an "optional" gratuity which it was impossible to remove from the order in the app, even if I'd wanted to. It takes a braver man than I to stiff the room service order! Anyway - when I left, the fo the fella on Reception reminded me that I needed to pay for charges!! When I told my pizza tale he was very sympathetic and scrubbed the cost. His name was Prasad and he deserves a commendation. Thank you, Prasad - a real Gentleman.
