We had a great time exploring the area-Wrights Brothers Memorial, NC Aquarium, Dolphin Cruise, area restaurants and shopping. The hotel is so conveniently located to many things. We will be back!

I have stayed here the same week the last 4 years. I booked and paid in full back in January. Overall stay was good. This is supposed to be a non smoking facility. The 1st floor smelled of weed all week. Some of the house keeping smelled of weed and were definitely under the influence.
I stayed on the 4th floor. The hallway was hot and smelled of natural gas. I propped the door from the hallway to the balcony open to air it out. My room was clean and orderly. I will seek somewhere else to stay next year.

Check in went smoothly, lady was very friendly and social. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint was the double beds seem smaller than normal and the bed was too soft for me. I like a firmer bed. Next time, I will know to book queen beds. The shower had good pressure. The WiFi was very good. I enjoyed the breakfast, it was not a hot bar, but it had plenty of different choices. They had coffee and tea 24 hours, which was nice! The location was across the road from the beach there was a beach access. Check out was a breeze . Enjoyed our stay, would stay again.

Great location and across from beach access. Easy check in. Quiet room. Staff efficient and pleasant. Easy to get extra room items if needed. Great to have coffee at any time. Could improve on breakfast choices. Could use a large trash receptacle in hallway to dispose of room trash for longer stays.

I have stayed at this Travelodge several times and just like the location of it for food and visiting things.

All the common areas were being cleaned as soon as people left, which gave you good proof of sanitizing was good throughout. Would stay there again in a minute as it was close to places to eat also.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay....clean, comfortable, great staff and reasonable rates.....went out to spend the night for super bowl 58... I do highly recommend

Room was as expected, dated but pretty clean. Access to beach was terrific. The property was pet friendly ( also nice because they didn't charge extra pet surcharge like most places do.) The bad thing was that their grassy areas were full of weeds that had painful burrs on them. The dog got them and they came in on our shoes. Very painful for the dog and for us.

There was a funny smell to the whole building, and a different smell in our room. I want to say it smelled like mildew and a strong cleaner in the building. In our room it kinda smelled like wet dog. Makes sense for it being a pet room, but unpleasant. I wanted to air out the room as soon as I got there, but there was no screen in the sliding door. Didn’t want bugs inside. 2 workers were behind the desk when we walked in, but they didn’t acknowledge us or say “we’ll be right with you.” They walked by us as if we weren’t there. Waited about 10 min. Another guest waiting at the front desk for something. Front desk lady finally comes back up, helped the other lady, and was very nice, fixed our keys that didn’t work the first time. Beds were very comfortable and clean.

there were so many spiders that it was ridiculous. Paid extra for an ocean view and couldnt sit on the patio due to at least 14 spiders and webs we counted on our balcony.

A very nice place to stay. Just wish they had a continental breakfast. Room was very nice and clean. Staff was very professional, kind and courteous, was willing to answer all my questions! I give it a 5 star. I would recommend to anyone coming to Kill Devil Hills to stay here.

The website stated breakfast. Many reviews stated clean. Not true. Room and hallways are musty. Stated smoke-free definitely not. Our carpet was damp. I was told that this is normal for a hotel on the coast. Asked for a refund to move to another hotel. "Not allowed" very unhappy with my selection of this hotel.

It was a very nice stay!!! The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The only thing that was not perfect was the comfort of the beds. Everything else was perfect!!

Upon checking in, Front Desk Clerk would not find my reservation. When I tried to give her my conf # she kept saying that was not it. She finally found my reservation laying on the desk in front of her. She was not overly friendly. The room was ok. Needed an update. Stains in the tub. Door did not seem to close properly

Our hotel was nice and relaxing. No noise complaints. There were two roaches in the room. EWWWW! I will probably end up booking another hotel in the future but it’s good for short stays.

My mother, 99 years old, took a turn in her health and I had to rush to her bedside. I called the hotel immediately and and called a second time also contacted Expedia to cancel this reservation. Despite my requests, they refused. How do you refuse a cancellation and be so heartless to consider even a partial refund. Good luck if you book this dump — it is an old, outdated property — and you want some simple consideration.

It’s old, worn and the “ covid excuse” for no breakfast is BS - especially at a basic motel. The “ ocean view” again, Bs ( at least from 3rd floor) saw tall grasses in between two tall houses-assuming the water passed that… not cool. Pool are looked nice at night- don’t look too closely though. Would not recommend. Overpriced and worn down. Dirt in corners of rooms and hair on towels ( not ours) Gross.
Front staff was fine / could have cared less if we were satisfied or not.

This hotel worked for a short weekend getaway. Easy access to the beach and lots of things to do not to far away.
Overall it was quiet, as with any hotel if someone is above you there may be some noise. I would stay there again.
