The staff are friendly accommodating & helpful if needed.Rooms are clean & bright & sized well. The location to the Gandy Dancer Theater is a plus,buffet steak house across the street & stores restaurants & downtown Elkins events all within 2-3 miles!!

Housekeeper was RUDE when I was checking in early. I’m a travel nurse and the front desk has always been friendly with letting me check in early if there is a room available. I work nightshift and understand that rooms might not be available when I get off work. I’ve never had any staff be rude to me when I ask if it’s ok. This woman (who was not checking me in and just sitting behind the counter) was very hateful and unprofessional. I was not even speaking with her and she chimed in being very hateful. I appreciate the man who checked me in, he has always been super kind and helpful. I will not stay at this hotel anymore because she made me feel like a burden for just wanting to sleep after a very hard 12 hour shift. Every other front desk staff member has always been very helpful and kind. This was just very odd putting and I hope she doesn’t treat any other travel workers as she did me.

For the amount of money being charged per night I expected a whole lot more. There for business. Breakfast room was filled with workers that didn't leave to give others a chance to eat. The same food both days. Outdated. no elevator if needed. Seems more about a profit then the customer. Not likely to ever stay again.

The first room was a little "musty", so the manager gave me another room and it was perfect. The staff was excellent.

The room was great, but this is directed at the woman behind the counter at check in. We had driven about 30 mountain miles with the check engine light on, and asked her if she knew any mechanics in the area. She gave us a name and number and the next morning we were on our way, in a little less than 2 hours! Thank you so much!!!

Pros: reasonably priced, room was decent
Cons: older, could use a refresh. Room could've been cleaner, not sure how often rooms are aired out, but there was a mildewy smell, an open window cleared it out.

The staff at the desk was kind, skilful, helpful with answers to our questions. I was not aware that there was not an elevator and that stairs are used.

Clean, friendly staff, after a long trip I was glad to see a clean motel and a smiling face. If I'm ever in Elkins again, ill be staying here.

Everything was great except the breakfast. Mostly starch and no protein isn't very diabetic friendly. We usually come prepared, though, so nobody was hungry; just sad to not have options at the facility.

Staff were very friendly and kind. Elkins is a good base town if you are doing things in the area.
For the most part, clean. Only complaint is the air conditioner continued to have a intense mildew smell.

The only thing we noticed were half smoked cigarettes laying in the rocks beside the cigarette can. Looked like somebody was saving them for later.
Other than that we had no complaints at all.

We stayed here during an anniversary trip to ride the Tygart Flyer. It was convenient and the continental breakfast was good.

We enjoyed our stay in Elkins and the Super 8 was clean and the price was excellent for what we need when we are on our motorcycle. The only thing I would have loved would have been a gluten free option of bread (bagel/bread) for the breakfast. I was not expecting any, so I was not disappointed. We had a great time and we will be going back to Elkins and the Super 8 in the fall. Thank You so much

We liked the little things. The fan didn't come on in the bathroom when you turn light on. Curtain didn't cover the A/C vent. Bed clothes were just right for sleeping. Access to room from parking lot was convenient.
Didn't like that my feet got dirty on bottoms from carpet which needs shampooed.

Room very clean, staff was friendly. Had a ground floor, coulld hear someone walking above us, but otherwise quiet. Bed a little hard, so had to adjust. Only draw back was small flies or knats in bathroom tub and on towels.

We were in Elkins for the first Scottish Games to be held there, and took the Clan Logan Tent to the Games. Such a nice area and friendly folks.

The property has an award for Best Renovation 2018-2019 that is easy to see why - very clean and nicely looking hotel with excellent and hard working personnel. Everyone we came across with is a top notch, from the front desk ladies and gentlemen to the housekeeping staff. Very pleased with the stay we had and the incredible level of service provided for the price we paid. Definitely worth recommending!

Not terrible, but the room was not clean. There were small roaches in the room and the sheets had dirt and other peoples hair inside them when I arrived.

Has a very pleasant and quick check in. The room was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend staying here. This is our second time staying here and this visit was as nice as the first.
