The hotel didn’t have paper plates or silverware. They wanted me to purchase a $20 plate. The staff were ok but the room was decent. It had smell of mold from the garbage disposal not being cleaned in a while but the room was clean. The McDonald’s and Taco Bell were conviene across the street but was very low rated for a reason.

Checking in was seamless and Dwayne (I believe) was so friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. I stay two nights a week in the area for business and this is not my go-to hotel. My only complaint is that there are no utensils or dinnerware in the kitchen and I had to go to a local store to purchase them.

Excellent customer service from Diane at reception. Accommodated our early arrival and seamless process of check-in.

No dishes any more. No pots or pans. Nothing. You have to buy them. lol No hand towels. No dish towels or dish cloth or dish soap. 1 bar of soap to do everything. No night clerk at a location that is known to be loud. You have to PAY to exchange your towels. Per room there is a bath mat, 2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths. The stove top took 10 minutes to heat up and then would fry an egg. A worker walked right into our room without knocking. This place used to be a happy place. Now it is a sad shell of a hotel. Oh… the one luggage cart has 2 flat tires. The other doesn’t steer. Stop with the select stay and go back to what you were. What a joke.

Perfectly acceptable, two points of notice. Staff? Who smoke in front of the no smoking sign at entry, they could be guests, however if they are staff maybe provide covered smoking area to help with this. And while pot is legal if it could be discharged as a smoking item in the hotel that would be great!

This property wasn't cleanly at all. The toilet seat was dirty when we got in, the floor was dirty, and apparently they make you take your own trash out. Also they charge you for towels. Definitely wouldnt recommend.

Property very run down. Room was dirty, smelly and outdated. Kitchen cabinets broken. Tried to change reservation to leave a day early but staff would not allow me to change it. No coffee maker, shampoo, hair dryer. Extremely overpriced.

A bit dirty, a lot of hairs from previous guests around the room. Only one cart for all the occupants in hotel, just takes one guest to hoard it in their room and everyone has to lug everything themselves.

Someone pulled fire alarm, they could mot find my reservation. AC heat did not work, there was s dog in someones room that kept barking.

Upon our arrival we were informed by 2 very peasant young men behind the counter (this is the only indication that they work there as they were wearing every day street clothing not wearing any type of uniform or dress clothes, or even name tags) of several changes in reduced services and increased costs. How do you offer less and charge more??!! No more so called breakfast, breakfast was a joke anyway but they also no longer offer coffee and tea in lobby in the morning but also don’t have enough small coffee pots to have one in the room. They now charge to use pots, pans, dishes, cups, and silverware. Now you get only 2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths for 2 people, no hand towels, dish cloth, or dish towel. The refrigerator is rusty and leaking water, the wall by the eating area was dirty the countertop was broken, carpet had holes and was dirty along the baseboards, picture in the bathroom was dirty and dusty. There are no garbage cans at the end of the hallway they expect you to carry your trash out to the dumpster yourself. This establishment has gone downhill and is rundown. We will not be staying at any of these properties in the future.

From the moment my partner and I showed up no one could be bothered to act like they were pleased to serve us. During check in the clerk mumbled making it hard to understand what they said. Not once did anyone tell us what to do to check out the following morning, and because the front desk shutters were closed there wasn't anyone available to tell me where to leave the room key. And they don't serve breakfast anymore even though it says they do on the website.

Location is great! Staff was friendly! Breakfast no longer provided, halls were dirty, foyers smelled like garbage juice of rotten food and sidewals were covered in it too. Not well kept or updatedso you can really feel the age and run down ness.

The rooms were in need of upgrades.

Dishes, coffee pot all that stuff you need to ask for at front desk but is supplied if you want it in your room. Full sz fridge, microwave, two burner stove, sm sink, generous kitchen counter top, and table w/ chairs. Its basicly a studio apartment. Will definitely stay at again.

Overbooked with no helpful alternative accommodations

Room was but cleaned properly. Hair in the tub and sink. Floors were not swept. Also did not smell like it was cleaned with any cleaning products.

There was indeed a small kitchen with a full size refrigerator, stovetop and sink. However, there was not a single dish, plate, silverware, pots, pans -- nothing. Not sure how we could have an "extended stay" with no supplies. The young man at the desk checking in was very kind, but other than that, I would not recommend this place.

too many people smoking in the rooms and rooms are dirty.

My "UNSAFE" experience undermined even any small, minor "likes" I may have had. The only guests I crossed paths with were young, disrespectful, thug, hoodlum, trash. The desk clerk, Jisel, was obnoxious and sorely lacked any manners at all, nor did she possess any good judgment. In fact, Jisel appeared to be a party to the whole "thug" scene. That obnoxious little girl needs to lose her job! DO NOT STAY HERE! IT IS UNSAFE, Novi, or not! Expedia needs to immediately disassociate themselves from Extended Stay America altogether, for the sake of their own reputation! That is, of course, unless, all Expedia care about is money and not the health, safety and well-being of their clients. I checked out of Extended Stay America IMMEDIATELY upon securing other accommodations. I went down the street and checked in to the Sheraton. I never ended up spending a night at this place!

Room just looked worn out and beat on. Loose toilet seat. Dirty refrigerator. And I really wasn't impressed one bit with the piles of cigarette butts outside of the exit doors. Days to a weeks worth.
