Absolutely charming old restored motor lodge. Zero complaints about the vibe. The grounds could have been a bit cleaner, sidewalks weren't swept and there was trash scattered in the landscaping BUT the landscaping was really pretty. Phenomenal location.
We did ask for housekeeping to visit the room on day 2 to replenish some of the toiletries that weren't present at check in and never received them. We did have to visit the front desk each evening to get coffee for the next morning. If you're not going to provide housekeeping at least deliver coffee BUT the provided coffee was delicious.
A solid 3 or 4 star rating but not quite five star because of lack of attention to detail.
Would stay again but would have slightly different expectations.
Fleetwood was a phenomenal experience!

I have been coming to this hotel for a number of years. I enjoy my stay. This time my shower was really filthy all full of mold. I was afraid to step in it without a towel to lay down. The inside needs some repainting and the towels weren’t their usual soft striking white. Like any hotel over time there are items that need to be updated. I would hope this review will help target some of those areas. The staff is slate helpful and chipper. I just wasn’t completely satisfied with the cleanliness of my room this trip.

We used to frequent this adorable motel. Decor is awesome and the rooms are comfortable. But in the past 1.5 years, the rooms are rundown and general maintenance is overlooked.
Our most recent trip the towel bar fell, the toilet paper holder was loose, there was a previous guests milk in the fridge, the toilet set looked worse for wear (it was clean but looked terrible), mildew on the shower tile and behind the sink, and the icing on the cake was a small streak of blood in a very obvious location on the sheets. We shared this feedback with the property, but were not compensated a dime for our poor experience (just a kind email). Not pleased by the invoice given our experience.
Hyatt has higher standards than this. We were beyond disappointed by our recent (and last) experience at the Calistoga Motor Lodge.

Looks can be deceiving. ... the photos on the website really sold this property as a chic boutique hotel. In reality, the room felt like a Best Western with a lick of paint and some fun decor. It even smells like an old motel. It's a great location, and the restaurant/bar seemed nice (we ate off property), but I had high hopes and was really disappointed.

The negatives: I’m not sure if it’s because it was winter during our stay, but the onsite restaurant was only open for dinner and the spa was closed one day during our stay. Also, the website lists 3 pools but in reality it’s 2 pools and a jacuzzi. In the camper suite, the table that converts to a bed requires a worker to come and convert it. That was a big downer for us.
Positives: the staff was always very helpful, the restaurant was really good ( get the mushroom pizza!) and the entire place is very kid friendly. And the pools are lovely.

The Calistoga. Motor Lodge is definitely a good option if you are staying in Calistoga. We have stayed there several times. Although this time we noticed that it is starting to show its age. It could use a coat of paint and a little lift here and there. Our bathroom door had a hole in it for some reason (seemed to have had something there prior), some stains of some sort on the bathroom floor and a broken bathroom hook. This visit they did not tell us that their hot tub was under maintenance which was very disappointing to us as we were looking forward to this feature in particular. If we had known we would have probably selected a different location. The staff was very nice and helpful. The Fleetwood restaurant never disappoints. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. Definitely recommend the restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel. Suggest to management to upgrade or upkeep the rooms. Notice that many rooms have been added to the property so maybe paying more attention to those rooms as opposed to the ground floor originals?

$700 for one night for a revamped motel seems steep, but it was still a lovely time. The staff was not friendly. Bikes were a plus. Calistoga is fantastic. Pros and cons... and wine.

I booked this property for two nights as a place to decompress after a 6 day retreat.
I accidentally booked the check in for a day early, and didn't realize this until the following day to due to being off line.
I called the front desk to explain what had happened and they informed me that "there was nothing they could do" and that my payment for the first night was lost as a penalty and they cancelled the second night.
I tried to rebook and the second night was twice the amount I had paid, so I booked another property.
I managed to find a lower rate for the second night and booked it.
Upon checking in. I noticed the property looked and felt a little worn. The parking lot had pot holes and the grounds were not 5 star.
I was looking forward to unwinding in the jacuzzi and they told me it was broken.
The biggest issue was how poor the sound proofing was and I was kept awake by the occupants in the next room banging and moaning against my wall.
All in all... not a positive experience.

My complaint is with Expedia. The place is listed as 4 stars when the reality is that the place should be listed as a 2 stars. The place is modest and my complaint with the motel is that they charge $35 as resort fee which at best is a joke.
On the parking lot there is construction material. Close by, the construction noise started at 8:00 am. The room is quite modest. The refrigirator did not work.

We had a nice stay, the rooms were a little outdated but cozy. The pool is nice and the bar was pretty cool with inside and outside bar seating. Parking was pretty easy. I enjoyed the complementary snacks and bottled water.

The property was in poor condition the room was tired and needed fresh paint. There was construction directly behind this property and was noisy with construction equipment and back up beepers from 7 am to 530 pm each day we were here.The pool had day beds with a duvet cover and should have been cleaned. Towels were provided and I would not sit on them without a barrier. The hot tub was boarddd up and closed to hotel guests, we did not know that was the situation but it has been closed for some time i would imagine due to the area being blocked off by sheets of plywood.

Room was clean. Pool was nice. Lots of families. Could hear neighboring room though. There was a radio that somehow started in the middle of the night, so make sure you turn it off before you go to sleep!

This used to be our favorite spot in Napa, but now that they've overnight doubled the room rates, we will not be going here again. This fun retro hotel is not worth $700 a night. We stayed here in July thinking we were spending $350 ish a night which was originally our quote, and were very surprised and disappointed to get our bill. Beware and what a shame.

I thought the property was awesome!! Nice jewel in Calistoga. We usually have to go 20-30 minutes out for our annual party, so glad to have found it!!

The Calistoga motor lodge was perfect for our stay, great food and wine options, clean and stylish. The pools were great for a swim before bed and we enjoyed playing Jenga while having dessert. A great stay, will definitely be back.

Unfortunately they have built many additional units and lost the feel of the property. Too many units for the small pool area and more being built! So sad, have been here a few times before but won’t go back.

Cool place and friendly and welcoming employees but feel like there was not enough attention to my booking. I have booked for four people but there was only towels and bed linen for two. Had to come to the reception several times.
Also I have booked the camper suite and payed more for this compared to the regular bedrooms but don’t think it’s worth it, because the bed is not really a bed, looks cool but is very uncomfortable and needs to be done by the hotel staff so you have to wait for them. Is just not worth it.

We have stayed here many times under different names of this motel. Always enjoyed the location, mineral pools, and staff. Bonus was their bikes for rides around town, and their partnership with local wineries for tasting. They have just opened brand new rooms that look outstanding! We will be back!
