Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel set up was very good and breakfast was great with a good choice.
Only thing was, beds were quite hard and had a restless sleep.

Customer service we received was poor and rude. We have stayed here many times when travelling from London, but this time we wasnt happy.
Family room wasn't ready, we were asked by one of the staff that "that can you set up the sofa bed" we said No.
The room smelled of damped and told them twice, they didnt do nothing till midnight.

Mattress on the pull out sofa bed was really thin and uncomfortable, children could feel every spring so we ended up sleeping in it as 2 adults. It was also excessively warm and there were sirens going off all night. Not sure if there is a hospital nearby.
Also after having no sleep I thought at least we will have a nice breakfast but at 8:00 they had already completely run out of eggs which was really disappointing for me as a veggie.

Basic but fine. Everything you need from a motorway hotel… breakfast included which is a bonus but it was hardly exciting.

Pretty standard hotel room. Comfy bed but could hear other guests quite easily.
On check-in, I was allocated a ground floor room, as a lone female I asked if this could be changed as I’d feel more comfortable with a room on an upper floor. The reception staff, rather than just accommodate the request, decided to discuss amongst themselves why staying on the ground floor is better. Very odd. I won’t stay again and will find an alternative hotel if I need to visit again.

Not enough tables at breakfast for the size of hotel. Rooms could definitely do with a refurb. Overall however was value for money and perfect location.

I was given a disabled access room, I’m not disabled. I received a 50% discount on my burger as it was terrible, really dry & tasteless. I was advised against the breakfast by another guest as he said the bacon would make a better inner sole for his shoes

We were greeted with a friendly smile and checked in efficiently. Very comfortable bed and a good night sleep. A tasty fresh breakfast too.

Cramped Room: Unfortunately, our room felt like it was too tight for a family with young kids. The space was tight, making it challenging to move around comfortably.
Wobbly Sofa Bed: The sofa bed was not in good condition. The springs in the mattress were practically doing a trampoline routine.
Backache Alert: I woke up with a backache after a night on that mattress. Not the best start to the day!
Overall Impression: While IGH Oldbury has its charms, the cramped room and uncomfortable sofa bed left us yearning for more space.

Staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very clean and parking is good. The rooms are comfortable and quiet place to rest. Staff cleans the room with very good condition.
Breakfast was served hot and good. Hotel location is good to travel around the city.

Comfortable bed. Room and bathroom were clean, although the drain hole from the hand basin had a bad smell (which I reported to Reception the following morning). You have to sign your car in for parking on a tablet at Reception - there were a number of people signing in when I arrived so I couldn’t get to do it, then forgot as I was going to a funeral the next day and so I’m now worried I will get a parking fine!

Unfortunately, the basin waste jammed so unable to release the water from the basin. To be fair, the hotel did offer to swap rooms but as my partner had already been to bed for a couple of hours, we thought it unfair on the hotel staff and as we were only staying for one evening we were prepared for the minor inconvenience.

The room was terrible plugs off the wall ,the shower not working lift not working and to lamps with no bulbs. All in all iwe were very disappointed and these things spoiled our trip.

The hotel itself is good and the staff were friendly. I like the fact that breakfast is included in the price. Beds are comfy. However, the downside is the rooms are dimly lit. There is no main light, just bed side lights which does not provide good llighting for the whole room. So I take away 1 star.

The double family room was with a sofa bed which the mattress was wafer thin and springs were felt through out the mattress
I tried to get another mattress to put on top but none available.
Not worth the money when two people get a double bed average mattress and the other guest get a bad back!
Better to sleep on the floor!
They sent me two duvets to put on the sofa!
