When I arrived there was a fire alarm going on and guests were gathered outside the building. The receptionist checked me in over the loud sound of the alarm and I walked outside to wait for the issue to be resolved. The fire department arrived, took care of the false alarm. The receptionist took the time to come out of the building and tell me personally that I could come back into the building. An extra bit of care!
When I asked for more coffee I was treated positively. My 3 experiences in the restaurant/breakfast area were fantastic.

We were in town for a family wedding. The hotel was easy to find uaing the link provided for directions via gps. Check in was efficient. The room was plenty large for two people. The bathroom had a big vanity and a tub/shower that was easy to use providing plenty of hot water. The shower head sprayed evenly for a relaxing shower. I appreciated the Dove brand shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and bar soap. The bed was comfortable with the commonly found white linens. My husband commented that the pillows were too puffy for him. Overall, a nice place that I would choose again!

Staff was great, bed was comfy but the hotel room was not that clean at all. Literal stains on the walls..plural.. not just 1 wall, but 3 walls. Will not book here again

It was a great little night stay with family. Only complaint was the pool was a little chilly according to my children

All night a dog was barking non stop. CoUld not sleep. EVen neighbors in hallway were yelling for the dog to stop finslly hours later i call front desk to let them know . I regretted staying here completely and wasting my money. Had issues with room as well . Ive never had a issue or problem and ive stayed here since i was a kid.

Housekeeping could have been better and hotel in old needing many updates to match what they charge for the room.
In room coffee was gross. Towels could be upgrades as they were worn with threads hanging which enabled hair to get stuck during cleaning and left for next guest.
Bed was very comfortable.

Vonetta checked us in and was the friendliest person ever! She made sure we felt comfortable and was available to help us when we needed help. I would absolutely stay again and highly recommend this hotel!

The property itself was clean, the price we paid for the suite was not worth it when more then half of the jacuzzi jets did not work, the pull out sofa bed had springs poking through the mattress that scraped my child’s leg when she was sleeping. I asked for a replacement mattress for the second night as I was booked and already paid for two nights in the suite but was told they did not have one so my children slept on the floor. I asked for a discounted rate for my child’s injury and was told no that they would give me points towards my stay. The price for the breakfast was not worth it either not many options and it’s the same breakfast you would get free at other holiday inns. We will not stay next time we come due to the rudeness of the staff when asking for my room to be discounted because of all of the issues we had.

This facility allows pets and the dogs a couple of rooms down had high pitched yips and yaps off and on all night.

Very nice lobby and the attached Bennigans restaurant was great. Our reserved room was supposed to be mobility accessible, but only had grab rails in the shower, no shower seat was available in the entire hotel. They switched us to an accessible suite which was nice, but only one bed and a sleeper sofa. The shower was great, had a seat and shower wand and was huge. Overall a very nice stay.

This hotel is always top notch, my favorite in the area. Great restaurant, nice pool, beautiful lobby, and comfy beds. Highly recommend!

Too expensive to not have free breakfast , they don’t take cash either. I was trying to pay for the room they kept saying my card declined and couldn’t do nothing about it. I called my bank to see what the issue was my bank informed me there wasn’t an issue I went back up to front desk to retry on another register and it went through. As my payment went thru I heard at the register I was at next to me that their card was getting declined as well and the rep still didn’t think nothing of it the register they were ringing us up at was not working but instead of thinking it was an issue with their equipment they were quick to write us off even when I did show them my bank account. I will not stay at this hotel I will find another one a little bit more affordable with the same amenities and breakfast

The receptionist was welcoming and super sweet as soon as we walked on Christmas Eve. She helped us sign up for the rewards program to have a longer stay. Professional and very nice lady.

Everything has been wonderful. Beautiful property, great room, close to downtown, Bennigan's was fabulous ( on sight ) friendly accomodating staff. Could'nt be better.

One of your server's in the breakfast area to 2 spanish customers in spanish the had fresh eggs in back if they prefer but only offered thed buffet to us and the other people that came in when we did. Little did she know my wife is spanish and a Spanish-speaking leas

For a room that cost 170 a night you should at least get a complimentary breakfast. $14.99 per person for a buffet with poor qualty food is obnoxious for a Holiday Inn. You can do better.

Front desk people very friendly. Vinetta was particularly helpful & a delight. We had a less stellar time at another hotel in area recently (clean but a few issues) so it was nice to come here,as I know it is reliable, clean, spacious.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was clean and well maintained. The pool was large and the kids enjoyed it. I was a little surprised by the price of the breakfast buffet, but overall my stay was enjoyable.

This is the 2nd time we stayed here and we like the hotel and the location. Front desk was having some issues this visit and seemed like computer system was not working properly. Also, there were lots of family and kids at the hotel and lots of jumping that sounded like elephants on the ceiling and running in the hallway in the middle of the night. Hotel told us we should call front desk re: running in hall at night but it stopped by the time we woke up enough to take action. Overall, we are happy with the hotel but there are lots of families staying there with accompanying noise issues.

Gave me the wrong room and had to convince front desk i booked a king suite. I was able to get correct room eventually. Also no wifi for most of the stay. Unfortunately the no wifi thing is going to result in me staying at another location due to having a limited data cell package.

This is a good place to stay if you are in the Elgin area. No sidewalks around to walk on and nothing other than the restaurant attached to the hotel. Breakfast is pricey for what you get, but on Saturday, the buffet was very nice. I’d stay there again for sure
