Comfortable and clean room, good breakfast and lovely staff, amazing grounds. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good view of the gardens from the room, though somewhat obstructed by the dirty windows that were long overdue a clean, broken window in bathroom. Hotels needs a bit of TLC in some areas.
One of the staff told us all about the history of the hotel which was lovely to hear

Hotel was good standard and room was comfortable.

Been a while since we stayed here and the refurbishment was clearly successful. Represents good value in nice surroundings and goes above its competitors in many aspects. Only refinement I’d suggest is the cost of charging an EV was a little high for a hotel.
4.0
Nice place but the room was very light. There were big gaps around the door to the corridor letting light in at night and there were no curtains only a blind with gaps around.

Lovely room, very clean and modern with a really nice shower. Lovely bar and lounge area for relaxing during the evening. The breakfast was also very good value and really nice.

This is a wonderful hotel with a five star service!
Anshua, one of the waiters, was so polite and attentive!
All the staff at the Hotel were professional and extremely helpful.
The food in the restaurant is superb.
Cocktails were amazing.
Our room was spotless and the beds were really comfy.
The grounds were stunning.

Overall we had a brilliant time, the room we stayed in, very nice and airy. Very clean.
Top notch.
Worth the money.
The only downside, that is not a big choice on the menu in the restaurant.
But happily will be coming back.

I cannot fault this hotel. From the moment we walked in such a warm welcome. Room superb, food excellent and all round service. Well done.

No heating in the restaurant, food cold and certainly not home cooked. Zipped beds (which is fine) but not when they are different heights!

Very comfortable stay. Staff were excellent: welcoming and extremely helpful.
Breakfasts were outstanding: simple, delicious, freshly cooked and quickly served.

We had a great stay at this hotel over the Christmas period to be closer to family.
Hotel and rooms were spotless. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Service was excellent. MajorDomo and his workers were attentive to all our needs.
Only negative was that although large bedroom, could have done with a couple of chairs and a small table for rest area to have our beverages in the afternoon. However, upon asking, they did provide us with an armchair. Thank you kindly.

We stayed at Oatland whilst visiting RHS Wisley. It is an impressive building, initially Henry VIII shooting lodge apparently, but a lodge it is not! Has been renovated in a classic English hotel style and very elegant. The staff are exceptionally smart in suits and waistcoats and everything about it gives an air of professional training and service. Would definitely stay here again.

Best hotel in town. I strongly recommend. Great building, great rooms, great food and great staff.

Lovely building, breakfast was very good. Because the building is old the rooms aren’t too well insulated so can be a bit noisy depending on your neighbours and those walking down the corridor. Room was spacious and light plus the WiFi was very good for a hotel.

Lovely hotel. Our room was very nice and the staff was welcoming.
However, dinner in the main restaurant was alright but nothing special. “Koffman” fries were underwhelming and my hamburger was overcooked. My husband had the pork belly and found it disappointing. Quality of the meals did not live up to their pricing.

I booked this hotel on behalf of my mother and father, my father has recently retired and decided to treat us to the sunday carvery, I must add that there was 8 of us so of course it was a very expensive lunch.
There were a few unfortunate faults with the meal but we didn't complain, with hindsight, maybe we should have, with regret it did tarnish our very special event.
My sister and I paid for my parents to stay at the hotel as a surprise, they fully enjoyed the room and the breakfast, slightly disappointing with the selection but no major complaints.
I don’t want to be one of those people that complain about little things that are ridiculous but I will say the meal, overall was really disappointing and if I’m honest I won’t return or recommend to anyone as I have done in the past.
Really sad, a lot of money spent and a disappointing review.
One thing I Will say is the staff on reception and In the restaurant were outstanding
I’d appreciate your feedback from my review
Many thanks

Oatlands is a lovely hotel, i will be returning!

A really lovely hotel with a brilliant pub just at the end of the drive. The carvery on Sunday looked very popular with live music in the background.

We try to stay at this hotel when we are visiting family in the area. This time the heat/AC was broken in our room. It was not a problem until the last night which was considerably chillier. The staff tried hard to remedy the situation and even offered us another room. We made do with an extra blanket and hit drinks available in our room. Next time we would not choose this room for another reason. At 6am a delivery was made directly below us so it was very noisy from 6-6:30am. A bit of a rude awakening.
Generally the staff are very well trained and service oriented. We will be back.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night which ruined our nights sleep. Breakfast was very poor quality and not a huge selection. Despite mentioning the above when we checked out and saying it ruined our stay no discount or real apology was provided which was unacceptable. Very disappointing!

I know that you can’t make large architectural design changes at this point but in the future you need to let your customers know that if their room is require stairs, they just need to be warned about that.
I’m an American architect, and we do have the American disabilities act which respectfully covers all access within buildings for the elderly and for others with disabilities.
As we approach our room, we know if there were some stairs that required us to go down with heavy luggage.
please let your customers know when that situation occurs that they need to understand there are stairs involved.
Otherwise experience was good thank you for having a clean room with adequate and operable HVAC.

The location was ideal in SW of London. You need a car as public transport is sparse.
Reception, Bar and Restaurant service were all excellent. The breakfast buffet in particular was most enjoyable.
My room, although modern and quite large was up many stairs and there is no elevator. That’s probably the worst criticism of this hotel. Carrying a large suitcase up and down narrow stairs was no fun. They must install an elevator for this multilevel hotel. All in all a nice stay. Quiet and extremely comfortable.

Beautiful property to stay at. Clean and tidy rooms. Ample free parking on site. We attended a wedding nearby which was convenient to drive from here. Seems like there’s tons of stuff to do nearby. Breakfast was quite good. Staff and the manager were very accommodating - we asked for halal options which weren’t present unfortunately but the manager on duty offered us vegetarian sausages which came fresh from the kitchen and we really appreciated this.

the Hotel seems to be in a state of transition, and could do with more facilities, which staff said was in hand.

Arrived at check in counter and two separate guests where waiting and one was being checked in. Even though there were other staff at the counter, there was more then one screen for checking in, we were told that we had to queue all at the same check-in. This took a good 10 minutes. Arrived in room, looked clean and started to relax before our evening out. Turn on the TV, no signal. This was reported and someone did come and we were told we were not the only ones and it is being looked into. Started to get ready for our evening out, no hot water in sink tap and the drainage of the sink water had a problem. We received a call saying they didn't know when the signal would be up and I then reported the problem with the hot water and drainage. Was told someone would come to sort it out. After a long time of running the shower water, we did get warm water so we got ready for our evening out. After we returned from our evening out, around midnight, we still did not have any TV signal, no hot water and the drainage was still a problem. At around 3:20 am, the hotel fire alarm went off. Together with other guests we left our room and the hotel building. No staff directed the quests out of the rooms or building. The guests stood just outside the hotel main doors, we were not directed away from the building. After 15 mins or so, a fire engine arrived, a fire fighter got out and went into the building alone and after another 10 mins or so, came out.Guests went in

Last time we stayed we had a lovely nights sleep and felt it was a country house hotel. We returned with family and booked 2 rooms. Unfortunately the location of these rooms means we will not return.
Last time we paid £80 and had a wonderful garden view and fridge. This time we paid over £160 per room per night. The air con in both rooms rattled and extremely noisy and useless. We opened the window (which had plastic covering blocking view) and had terrible noise from kitchen extractors all night.
The doors in both rooms let is a lot of light around frame and under door. This meant noise travelled easily between corridor and room offering lack of privacy. We eventually fell asleep about 2am and woken abruptly about 3.15am with fire alarm.
We went outside with 20 month toddler.
We were outside maybe 30 or more minutes cold with no explanation during, after or since.
Rumour was it that a kettle had caused alarm.
All in all a stay that was so needed turned into an exhausted family leaving at 9am, having spent £314 on 2 below standard located rooms with no dinner or breakfast included in price. Never to return which is a shame as we thought we had found the perfect place to visit family every few months.

Nice hotel. Nice grounds. Small bar. Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Food is good.
Looks like to rooms are slowly being updated. The rooms are clean and modern. Some of The floorboards to make a noise. But it is a old building

Good location, clean cosy room. Bed ok, would prefer firmer mattress
