Excellent hotel for staying close into the city centre, being equidistant from two of the major city squares. Friendly staff and first class room service. This was our second stay at this hotel and we were as pleased with it this time as we were five years ago. We'll be staying again as the location would be hard to beat!

The hotel is centrally located in the historic district. Easy walking distance to everything. The hotel itself is modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would return to this hotel and I highly recommend it.

Our kids loved the bunk bed room! First time finding that in Spain. We also loved the free coffee, water, and rentable bikes. Will definitely be returning!

A small hotel in the heart of Valencia. Rooms are small and basic but comfortable enough for a good sleep. Location is prime surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. The staff is whay really makes this property stands apart from the rest. Helpful and always willing to provide advise when needed.

Petit Palace was perfect for our Fallas adventure. It was basically the center for everything Fallas! The rooms were nice and clean and you definitely want to pay for the breakfast thats available! Its one of the best breakfasts ive ever had offered anywhere and the flavorfullness of all the food was amazing!

Everything about this place was great including air conditioning which is not the norm in Europe. Federica and Agustin were awesome!!!! The only thing to know is : hotel is in the old part of town (beautiful area) but if you are driving it’s tricky to get to hotel to load and unload bags . Touch base with hotel for directions. I will return.

The service was good and the conditions of the hotel are fair for what you pay.
The only thing that I didn’t like it that was they weren’t prepared for the rain. Unfortunately we stayed during very bad weather conditions. Apparently it was a historical storm, but they didn’t have enough umbrellas to provide to their guest. So they should improve this.

Was pleased to see Lou going the extra mile to help 4 Ukrainian refugees.

If you are coming to Valencia definitely stay at Petit Palace Plaza de la Reina. We had a Business Class Double Room with Extra Amenities and Terrace for two persons. As long as I checked, hard to find, but definitely worth it. The price is totally reasonable! You get what you give, in this case I would recommend to spend a little more and get the best environment and service for your stay.
The location of the hotel is excellent! Everything is very close. Not to mention that despite the old town, the area was very quite. We also used the free bikes available in the hotel lobby, great way of exploring the city!
The room was very clean and beautiful. The terrace was wonderful, nice place to rest from the walking and exploring the city. The bed was so comfortable! The breakfast was nice, not a big choice of foods, but you will find what you like anyway. Fresh orange and pineapple juice was nice, coffee was delicious, various choice of nuts, milks and a lot more!

El hotel está muy bien ubicado y muy limpio.

The hotel is in a great location and facilities and cleanliness were acceptable. However, there was a terrible sewer smell in the bathroom which we were told was the result of the wind. Also know that there is no parking onsite, but reasonably priced 24 hour parking is only a few blocks away.

Great location & decor, and dog friendly (they give you dog food and bowls and a dog bed!)

Brilliant staff and service - couldn't do enough to help. Superb location in the city centre. Cafes and coffee shops right outside for breakfast etc. Room quite small but not unusual for a conversion in this type of classic building.

Room was ver small and bathtub was rusty. However, huge balcony with a view on Valencia totally made up for it. We had an excellent lunch there with goodies from the market that is 2 min walk from hotel. Excellent breakfast

stayed in other hotels of this chain always good bit disapointed here quite jaded lot of noise from other rooms shower did not function on all settings bath room very cramped only one chair no drawers for clothes

Rooms very small and decor poor and dark. Bathroom was very small with no bath and the toilet was very close to the bed. The 2 french windows in the room were not necessary as you could not open the curtains without being seen by the bedroom across the air shaft or by people passing in the corridor. And we couldn't open the windows as there was a large table in front of them. More low tech than high tech and even that failed. TV only in German and Spanish. We cannot recommend and we would not use again. A special occasion would have been a disaster if not for kind and helpful staff.

I had cross-checked multiple sources and saw that Petit Palau Bristol was all rated quite well. I think this hotel was probably once a very nicely run hotel. However, our experience at this hotel leaves more to be desired.
Pluses:
1. The decor of the hotel was indeed fairly well done. The lobby feels elegant. The room, upon first look, also looks quite tastefully done. The dark wood coupled with somewhat minimalist designs and elegant prints made it very pleasant looking.
2. The amenities were all pretty much there. Even though the room was not super large, all the necessary components were there -- enough closet space, a large comfortable bed, lots of electric outlets. The hotel provided a comb and a shower cap in additional to the bath gel and shampoo.
The bad parts about the hotel were the details:
1. The room comes with a free laptop with free internet. It was nice until we discovered the computer automatically turns itself off randomly. This was frustrating because it took a while to re-boot it.
2. The cleaning service does not refill the shower gel or shampoo everyday. We started with 2 small tubes of shower gel and 2 small tubes of shampoo. After the first night we were down to only half a tube of shower gel and one tube of shampoo. Neither was refilled on the second day. They were only filled when we have completely used them up after the second night.
3. The vanity looks nice (dark wood) but was in fact a particle board laminated with dark wood pattern. It was also held up with only two metal L-shaped brackets. It poorly supported weight and wobbled, threatening to break off the wall. There was no caulking/sealing between the sink and the vanity, so extra water splashed onto the vanity drips down the outside of the sink, and eventually drips onto the floor.
3. The shower has a nice black/white tile pattern on the wall. but upon closer inspection the grout is yellowed or black. The handle bar on the shower door must have fallen off previously. It was shoddily glued back on, with a messy job of dried glue all around it. The door track was also out of order.
4. The shower was supposed to be a nice "spa-like" system with eight extra nozzles that can jet out water. The mechanism to switch between these jets and the regular shower head was not working.
5. The receptionist took more than 20 minutes to check us in. This also happened to other guests who came in after us. There was a large group of people in the lobby just waiting for the receptionist to give us keys and the go-ahead. When I asked for the direction to the supermarket, the receptionist marked the wrong place on the map, and gave me the wrong directions to get there. It was quite a frustrating first-night there.
6. There were almost always 2 people behind the check-in desk, but the second person never approached the guests to be helpful. In one instance when one of the receptionists was helping other guests, we approached the other person behind the desk. We were told she was only there just to use the computer. In another instance when we inquired about the availability of an umbrella, the response was a curt and cold "no."
7. The Lonely Planet guide book (2006 edition Best of Valencia and the 2009 edition of Spain) both said this hotel has scrumptious breakfast. This was not the case. The breakfast had some variety (2 kinds of ham, some other cold dishes, and the typical English breakfast items such as baked beans, scrambled eggs, broiled tomatoes) but was by no means of quality. It was definitely not worth 13 euros per person.
8. The safe in the room didn't work.
Overall, the cold and unfriendly nature of the hotel staff really turned us off. If they were very friendly and helpful, we might have overlooked some of the defects in the room. But all together the experience at this hotel was not good.

Stayed for two nights at this smaller very nice and centrally located hotel. To us very convenient has we wanted to stay centrally located and
have short distance to all the nice restaurants, squares and places to visit. Staff very friendly and service minded and even though they are not fluent in English they certainly
try and can express themselves in reasonable good English. Also, very near to train station and metro, 10 minutes easy walk. The Metro takes you from and to the airport
within 25 minutes very conveniently and to a low cost avoiding the hassle having to pay twice as much for the taxi as locals :-)
We did not try the breakfast.
Actually we liked the place that well that we a few days later returned for one night more.
