Great location with lots of parking. Property is a bit dated but seems to be slowly making improvements, new heaters. Rooms were very very warm. Thermostats could not be adjusted, even opening the small window did not cool down the room. Nice to have a small refigerator in the room.

We stay for one night, the room was very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was also good. Friendly staffs, and Waterford is magnificent

Great hotel a short taxi ride from the city. Basic rooms, beautiful bar/restaurant area. Reasonably priced, would definitely return. Only disappointment was the wine with dinner which wasn't great

Clean and tidy with friendly staff, good free parking and a decent sized room, however the overall impression is one of a once premium hotel, now trying to make the best of the slightly fading facilities, in need of some spit and polish along with some light refurbishment in places and perhaps a little light on resources at busy times

The hotel is nice. The desk staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable and I have no complaints.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was good and good value.
Some areas of the hotel are looking a bit tired, but I will be back.

Property was on the edge of Waterford but the drive to city center was easy. The room was large and bright with a great king size bed. A bit of noise from a large group in the lobby till late in the evening filtered down to our room. Suggest hallway doors be closed for more quiet. Otherwise a very good stay.

The hotel was fine. Dated. Mildew in the bathroom. Restaurant staff pleasant but not particularly well trained. Perhaps a fine stay for business but not for holiday. Won't return.

Hotel wasn't overly busy at this time but very understaffed, we actually could hear the staff bickering about issues among themselves. When i went to pay for our dinner the gentleman wasn't able to work the till so i had to wait for someone else. At 8 am on the Monday morning workmen started work outside which was extremely noisy and especially annoying. We were a family of 10 and we all agreed we wouldn't return

Easily accessible for travellers just stopping over on the way somewhere. Loads of parking.

Good coffee, good breakfast, you can get omelette and poached eggs if you ask! clean room, busy hotel, lots of comings and goings , bring earplugs as the walls are a bit thin and you can hear others. Staff are very helpful and really enjoyed the Saturday night music in the bar.

The room was large with a comfortable king sized bed. It even had a refrigerator, which not all their rooms do. But it was very plain, absolutely nothing special. We ate both dinner and breakfast there, and it was "okay." Breakfast was very Hampton Inn-style. Parking was convenient and free. But the location of this hotel is TERRIBLE. I cannot fathom WHY we picked this hotel in this location - it was pretty expensive given that it is 5 miles from the city center. It's surrounded by mostly car dealerships, so not walkable at all. Would not recommend, wouldn't stay here again.

Spent 2 nights here. Excellent location if you have a car. Shops all within a 5 minute drive. Had a nice dinner on one of the night and it was reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. Plenty of car parking.

Stayed in January, arrived late in the evening but had phoned ahead and asked for the heating to be checked in the room as some places turn them on when you arrive. Was told it was on. It was not. Worst experience ever in a hotel. Manager told me to book again through them and they would look after me.
Same experience again last. Feel like a right mug. They are saving on heating and can’t heat the rooms fully I feel as I see other reviews saying the same.

Fast check in and courteous..staff every very friendly and helpful. Food is restaurant was excellent. Great value breakfast..just a few miles outside the city centre. Lots of parking.. superb value.

A standard accommodation for a one night stopover, the Viking offered an easy location to find by car and ready access to the city of Waterford by car.
The bed was comfortable, though only one pillow each. But the carpet was a little dusty and the room could do with an update. Friendly staff made us welcome.

Karen and Breda from management were incredible. They went above and beyond for us and were so friendly and helpful. We had an amazing stay and the food was great at the restaurant. For something simple but elegant, consider this hotel.

The Viking is a lovely hotel and well placed for motorway connection. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly especially Sarah and Danny. I have stayed many times over the last 20 years and would definitely recommend

The location was way too far away from center city Waterford. If you have no car stay away. There’s nothing in the area for visitors. No pubs just auto dealerships. You have to pay for taxis to get to the center where there’s good choice of restaurants and other attractions. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and helpful. The in house restaurant had good food at reasonable prices. The place set up corporate meetings and team building, not for vacations.

Stay was fine, evening meal and service very good. Baltic in the restaurant and then a furnace in the room. That’s my only complaint. Other than that great.
