This hotel was filthy and falling apart. Mold, cat smell, trash all over the property. We were supposed to be there for 3 nights,we left after 1. They upgraded us and the TV didn't work.

Checked in and was fine but got a cottage went to dinner and went to room. Dirty, no toliet paper, tv didnt work. Called front desk twice she said she was coming w our breakfast basket and tpliet paper and never came. Dirty room in a cottage with what looks like low income people living in them not the old charm it shows online.

Our stay was nice, it seems there are long term residents there. The property needs a junk hauler and a lot of maintenance. If it was fixed up it would be a very cute location. The staff were nice and the breakfast baskets were very good. We would love to stay again if the place were cleaned up and the garden looked like the pictures on the web.

Surprisingly, the room was very cozy. The shower was great and updated. The ladies running that place are doing a great job. You must also understand this is an older hotel and not the Ritz Carlton. Overall, we had a good stay.

We really liked this place right in the heart of Jamestown so everything was right there.
It is a older hotel so different from the usual hotel or motel experience.
Breakfast basket was nice it was brought up in the evening so you could just wake up and have breakfast in your room.
Customer service was amazing I will definitely stay here again

Very clean, centrally located in Jamestown on Main street. With many different restaurants within walking distance to satisfy anyone’s culinary need. Very friendly staff going out of their way to meet your needs. The rooms have everything one can imagine for a short or long stay, including fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board. And to boot it all, a very sumptuous breakfast after which you can skip lunch. We did.
The staff is very friendly, we were treated as personal guests with very personal service. I have travelled all over the world and have not experienced this kind of service.
Dee, the lady in charge of the place is a gem, who goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable.
We plan to come back here next summer for a longer vacation.

It was amazing

Didn’t expect it to be a bed and breakfast. America’s Best Values are typically chain like hotels. So was very confused when I got there. Not easy to figure out where the lobby was since it didn’t look like a hotel. But overall stay was fine.

Beautiful. Quaint cottage. Roses. Fruit. Staff was amazing. Recommended things to do, pointed out dining and entertainment.

Hotel room was great but there was only parking out on the street! The hotel is an interesting historical building. Breakfast was super great!

I was leering of booing this place so I stayed somewhere else for 2 nights. Then I needed to extend and that place was full. So I got a room here. It was on the second floor with no elevators how ever there is an entrance in the back that gets you to the 2nd floor with very few steps. That was very helpful. The place was cute inside and the people were great. Right on main street with Balcony over looking the main drag in town. I was in town to visit someone at the Sierra Conservation Center. If you cam to Jamestown for this reason, I suggest you stay here. Free Breakfast and close to everything in this small town. I will stay here on my next visit.

Very old building. Needs repairs but is well loved. Cleaning under the beds is needed. The staff were very eager to please and seemed happy to work there. We will stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay in the historic hotel. Staff very nice

This building has been standing since 1922. Once a brothel. The bedding was clean & comfortable. The shower was extremely small & so was the toilet area. If you're looking for somewhere safe & just need to sleep, this is the place. Keep in mind there are only stairs & no elevator if you can't walk up stairs. Very nice staff & not noisy at all.

Old building but i loved it. Lady at desk was very helpful. I'm in the hospitality industry and 5 stars in my book!

Classic old hotel. Great service. Highly recommend.

It is too bad, the bungalows could be much more enjoyable, if the property wasn’t so dirty. Empty boxes, lying all around, trash, strung along the driveway, and it look like a junkyard in the back of the property. The owners need to clean this place up.

The room was dirty, spider webs with spiders included everywhere on the ceiling. Refrigerator top was gross! Door jams inside, filthy, floors were very dirty. Loud kids screaming outside our cottage. The adults were loud as well. Theb bed was like a brick. I can say the bed was clean, great water pressure in the shower and the breakfast basket was nice.

It is an old family owned hotel but it was great…the staffs are amazing and accommodating and very reasonable price. We stayed for 2 nights for our Sequioa and Kings Canyon Park adventure. It was 1 1/2 hr from the park…worth driving than paying $200 more from were we stayed.

This was a unique upstairs motel. The room was nice and clean and bed comfortable. It had a lovely front deck you could sit on and watch the town. The front desk lady was exceptionally nice. We were able to park directly in front and that was convenient.
The room could use more electrical outlets. Some of the plugs full of appliances were a bit scary.

This place look very old which made this place very unique but yet very comfortable. WE loved the outside porch that’s located upstairs. It has thin walls so we couldn’t be too loud at night but other that this place was really good

My stay was fantastic. Great place to stay in Jamestown. They went above and beyond as I left a backpack and they personally delivered the backpack to my home a week later. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The 2 ladies, I assume we’re mother and daughter were very kind and polite. However the conditions of the room and hotel were definitely not what the pictures online showed. We were told at check in that there was no smoking but when we went up to our room the stench of marijuana and cigarettes was so disgusting and overwhelming. The people in the room next to us had very loud kids and a dog that barked. The people in the hotel and out on the balcony were clearly on drugs and just weird. We ended up leaving at midnight. We just couldn’t take it any longer. So sad.

Very poor service. Very hard to get anyone to check you in. Promised continental breakfast not delivered. TV did not display graphics correctly Property apparently inhabited by long term residents (section8?)

Property is not real clean. I would not recommend it for anybody or any families. They kept our deposit based on a few minutes late check out. They said the towels were dirty, but they were not.

It’s an old historic type of hotel which is right in the middle of their old downtown and close to walking.

Old & musty smell as you might imagine. NO air conditioning.
Small room with a Very small bath.
Room clean, bedding clean, owner nice and accommodating.
City really not as advertised at all.
Disappointed!

The hotel was very vintage but for one night it worked out great. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was awesome.

There were several bad things about the hotel. First, we got locked in our room after check-in because the door handle did not work from the inside. In all rooms, there was a bad smell. All the rooms seemed pretty run down, so the images on the website were not precise.
On the second night, the house keeper started hammering at 9pm in the room next-door,which was pretty loud. In general, the house seemed like one big building site.
The service did not seem very helpful either. WiFi did not work properly.
The best thing, was the breakfast which was brought to us on a tray to have it in the room.
All in all, our stay was pretty disappointing.

The decor is kept for the most part in a style that matches the gold rush times. Some of them are really cool like stained glass ceiling window. Some not so much like glass decoration above the room entrance door which lets in hallway light at night. Overall the property needs a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. The nice touch is a breakfast delivered to the room the night before.

it was quaint. Over 100 years old, the building itself was fine. A bit of a musty smell on entering the lobby. My room was clean, the bed firm, but the shower was really small (about 3 feet square.) I like quaint, and I would consider staying there again. Staff was very nice. Very limited parking and the area next to the hotel, was "sketchy"

The staff was super sweet. The hotel is currently under construction. The parking is not good. Actually stayed in one of the cabins behind the hotel: It was hot in side- cooler is located in the bedroom area- does not cool down whole cabin. The table in the kitchen area with only 1 chair in the whole cabin. The "sofa couch" is not a sofa couch- it is a rock hard lumpy thing that folds down. The bed was extremely firm. Basically- it was an experience! LOL! I would totally stay there again- but bring stuff with me to make it more comfortable!
4.0
The staff at the front next was sweet charming and engaging. She was the best part of our stay. The front of the building was nice and quaint. The “cottages” in the back are in pretty rough shape. They are rundown and poorly maintained. I was disappointed by a lack of an iron and ironing board as well as pretty abysmal coffee making in the room. In a cottage with 4 beds, there was one unit of regular coffee, one of decaf and two cups and no stirrers for the coffee ( yes, pretty petty but I like my morning coffee). Parking was also substandard. Perfect for a Prius but nearly impossible for a full-size truck. However, for the price and being on main street, I suppose it wasn’t bad.
