Check in took a long time, didn't really feel welcome. My six year old was really looking forward to swimming in the pool but it was not heated and actually FREEZING cold. There was no fan in the bathroom so it made me feel like there was mold growing in that room, kinda freaked me out.

It was a fantastic relaxing ecperience. The resort is very clean and the staff was amazing! We looked forward to the cookies and milk at 8pm. All of the added touches were appreciated!

Our stay here was amazing. This hotel was super close to all the activities we had planned in Carlsbad and we loved how this hotel felt tucked away in a quiet area. We especially loved the complementary breakfast and all the amenities. Would 100% stay here again.

absolutely would stay here again even if I'm not visiting Legoland! The staff were great, especially the ones working the kitchen/breakfast area. Kept everything as clean as possible, food was good, although a bit cool, but there is a microwave if you want to heat anything up, and each day had a different choice of food. The rooms are a perfect size, the first 2 nights we had a 2 king bed single room, was great, spacious and clean. We checked out, but hours later decided to stay another night, when we couldn't find a room that was not over priced or ghetto, I called back and they were very accommodating and I was given a 2 king bed suite! the kids went nuts, it was HUGE! This place was a great find and I recommend to anyone traveling with family!

Check in was pleasant, the lady was very sweet and made the process quick. I picked the hotel since it showed carpet flooring which it didn’t have and a dvd player which I was informed that they no longer have. Making our stay a little different then what we planned.

This is a gem of a hotel! The front staff at check in was lovely! We arrived late but were able to purchase items at the convenience shop in the lobby and the cookies and milk were a nice touch.
Our room was spacious with a very large bathroom, fridge, microwave and kitchen sink. (Some cutlery and dishes would be a useful addition). Breakfast is decent with lots of choices and I liked the dining area.
There is a pool and hot tub and fitness room.

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for a first visit, and it was much nicer than we expected--room was large, clean, and quiet; beds were absolutely comfortable; the staff were extremely friendly and polite, and all for a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. It was great in all aspects, and I will stay again.

We stayed here to go to Legoland but due to us not knowing the weather we decided to go to seaworld. This was a 25 mins drive and we will be back everytime due to the experience. Loved the cookies and milk along with the breakfast.

Hotel was excellent and very clean. Staff members were wonderful with the exception of Vicky at the front desk. She was RUDE and unprofessional. When having to speak to her via phone conversation, she was not only disrespectful, but RUDE. Beside Vicky’s smart*** dialogue, the hotel and staff was amazing.

Just a couple of days away. We will definitely stay again at West Inn & Suites. The property is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. Close to everything in the Carlsbad area.

Loved the hot breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms. Only slight disturbance is the train around 930pm and 730am. They have storm windows so it is muffled. Didnt bother us while we were sleeping.

The check in process was a breeze, our room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the continental breakfast was excellent as well as the service by the staff.
Overall very impressed by our stay, we will be staying here in the near future.

This hotel was such a great surprise. We did go during holidays so lots of families were there, but it was still quiet. A hot full buffet is served with the room and has EVERYTHING from a bowl of granola to biscuits and gravy, eggs, muffins, bagels, fruit yogurt - the works! The bed in our room was super comfortable! We were traveling with our dog so we had a room on the ground floor close to an exit so we could go in and out with her easily.

Great place. Upgraded room. Separated guest throughout the hotel. We traveled for Legoland. This hotel does NOT offer shuttle service to the park, unlike previous post reported. However hotel upgraded us to a bigger room with 2 King beds. What a dream!
