Small hotel with the reception only open a few hours per day. The floor in the room was dirty and AC is not included in the rate. You also need to prebook what you want to eat for breakfast. Not my favorite choice of hotel.

The service and the friendliness of the staff was excellent. The morning breakfast was very enjoyable.

This was the fifth time that I have stayed at Villa Gasparini. The owners, michela and Ricardo are wonderful people. They make you feel that you are family. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing. You can get tickets for tours, bus trips right there at the hotel. It's close to Venice, without the big Venice price. Thank you Michela and Ricardo. My friend Elsa and I had a wonderful experience.

Convenient location for visiting the region in particular veneto villas. Comfortable and great ratio quality-price.

It was very quaint and in the countryside. Checkout wasn’t available until 8

An awesome place to stay. The road to reach it is a bit a countryside road but when you arrive the place, the service the view and evrything makes up for it.

The Hotel is family run, very hospitable & very helpful. The spread at breakfast was excellent & very reasonable 5 euros to upgrade to full breakfast.

What can I say ridiculous, got told a bus ticket would cover two people to Venice, but it didn’t as the bus inspector gave me the option get off the bus or pay a 122euro fine,, booked a shuttle from the hotel to the airport and but they toke us to the completely wrong airport so ended up having to pay another 85euros on top of the 60 Euros I’ve already paid, tried calling the hotels out of hours line but the guy that picked up spoke no English so was no help at all ! Walls between rooms are paper thin you can hear everything. Staff are ok though.

This was a couples trip. Comfortable hotel. Only problem is the hotel is in the middle of nowhere which is great for a get away, but their is not much to eat. The hotel includes 'buffet' breakfast, but infact, this is anything but a buffet. The breakfast is the most disappointing thing at the hotel. Extremely poor. 1/10 if that. Infact, after going downstairs for breakfast the first morning, we didn't bother for the rest of the trip as it was so poor.
Also the hotel doesn't have a restaurant so no food is available which is frustrating as there is nothing in the area.
Also, room service is not daily and you have to pay for a new towel if you need one.

Wonderful, conveniently located from the ferry which is 20 min ride to the center of Venice.
Will definitely stay there again. Exceeded all of our expectations

Hotel Villa Gasparini is just far enough away from Venice that it feels like the Italian country side, but close enough to get to Venice retatively quickly. If you're able to figure out the public transportation it's very easy to get to and very inexpensive. If you take a taxi it'll cost a lot more. Overall this place was great and I would stay there again.

This is a beautiful hotel and Eleanoro contacted us in advance to make sure our late arrival was handled well. The room was clean, comfortable and in a style befitting the age of the building. Our room was at the front of the building and with the windows and shutters open there is traffic noise throughout the night albeit that there is not a constant stream of traffic. We live where it is silent at night and only stayed one night so would probably become accustomed to it during a longer stay. We would stay again though.

The hotel is very quaint, decorated in faux-19th c. furniture. It is located in a former get-away for the wealthy of Venice, on the main canal to Padua. The staff was pleasant, the breakfast conventional. Great biking to the lovely town of Dolo nearby.
The google map directions are INCORRECT, and the staff had to talk me in. This is the only down side.

It's 40 mins by bus out of Venice however this was good for us as we got to explore this area too

Cean Hotel. Not too bad overall but the 45 min public bus ride to Venice was a bit too long. Also, I recommend you eat breakfast out as the continental breakfast was pretty meager. Not bad for the price but would pay to be closer to Venice next time.

No wifi, in rooms. Staff leaves at 10pm and no access to any service after this. Rooms where nice and garden/building well maintained. Staff a bit petty, breakfast very limited and north worth the price

We booked because the hotel was listed as being in Venice but in fact it was a 45 minute bus ride away. So that was annoying. The room was small with a king sized bed and very firm mattress and pillows. In the room was a double wardrobe with no drawers, a dressing table with no drawers and two very small bedside tables each with 1 drawer. There was a TV in the room but no tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was describe as continental but in fact consisted of: 1 small glass of juice, 1 cup of coffee and 1 croissant. Any additional breakfast food cost 6 euros each per day. It was served with a smile though. Clean towels and bed sheets also cost 6 euros. They did fix the broken toilet seat and bathroom tiles that were coming off the walls but not the small water leak. The room was cleaned each day as you would expect.
Venice can very easily be expensive. 6 euros for a glass of very ordinary wine and 3.5 euros for a standard cup of coffee. Meals out for two adults can easily 100 euros and the gondola cost 2 euros per minute. If you self cater then food cost in the supermarket are comparable with what we pay back home.

Great hotel, clean, comfortable, but very far from Venice, 40 min bus trip. It was initially very hard to find the hotel and took us 2hours to get there. But the service was great, the staff helpful and we decided to stay an extra 2nights.

Nice hotel but a few things to bear in mind-
Firstly hotel is 40 mins bus ride from Venice; so you won't have the option of popping back during the day to refresh.
Secondly breakfast is a coffee and a pastry. if you want more you will have to pay for it!
Thirdly unless you speak German choices on the telly are limited!

Our room was located next to reception and we heard everything in the lobby. Bad idea to have a room beside the lobby and the main entrance door. Poor breakfast which is just a croissant, 'unrecognisable' juice and hot drink - tea or coffee. We paid €2.50 for undrinkable, awful machine-made coffee - don't order coffee here ! It's poor to serve such awful food to tourists. Wi-fi didn't work either. Pictures on website look better than realty.

The picture shown with this listing is misleading: There is no double available through Expedia, only a twin room, which is in the garden and VERY cold. The heater was broken and at 4 degrees outside(January) we had a very uncomfortable night on our two single beds- not a great start to a romantic break. It may not have been the hotel's fault, they claimed they asked Expedia to contact me and tell me no double wa available but nobody contacted me. Anyway, my main problems were: This was a 40 minute journey from the main Venice bus station and almost impossible to see the hotel bus-stop in the dark. At least twice we missed the stop and there was then a 2 mile walk back in the dark, as it was the last bus. Once, we got back at 1am after walking 2 miles in the cold and our key would not open the door. The dead bolt had "fallen" inside the room. We were stuck in the garden for an hour as there were NO STAFF on at night. WE eventually got in but only by entering via a window. They did fix the heater but by then we decided to go elsewhere, even tho we had paid for this gotel. It may be fine in the summer but in winter I would AVOID this hotel and double- check your room booking, A bad experience.

This was a very authentic Italian hotel in its style. However, the people here were able to speak English. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Located very close to a bus stop that will take you to Venice which was about a 30 minute bus ride but very affordable.
The rooms were cozy and very clean. The bathroom provided plenty of space.

I agree with all the reviews I read. The Hotel was great and the service wonderful. We did not have to wait for the bus very long. However getting off was difficult for it is easy to miss the stop. We traveled twice and the bus driver the first time was very helpful. The second time we took our GPS with us and it told us when we were there. The additional 5 Euros for breakfast was worth it.

the hotel itself was very nice, clean, tidy very romantic. the staff are very helpfull even if thier english is broken. we got a taxi from the airport as we landed late in the night and didnt have a clue where we were going, only problem was it cost 88 euros!!!! couldnt believe it, we think the taxi man ripped us off!! after this upset we got on the bus to venice the rest of the trip, bus stop only 100m up road and it takes about 30-45mins. another thing only 1-2 pub/eating places within walking distance from the hotel which are nice but limited again on english and menu! you can upgarde the breakfast in the hotel for 5 euros a day per person as the included one is very very basic, coffee, jucie, bread roll!! overall, nice hotel, too far out though for venice.

Had a bit of trouble finding the villa and you wouldn't want to be coming via the airport - it's about 1/2 an hour away. But the rooms were very comfortable and the bus trip into Venice only took 1/2 an hour. It was a good chance to see a bit more of the country. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also the restaurant next door is highly recommended.

The hotel is about 40 minutes by bus away from Venice City bus station. But it is very good condition and has got excellent breakfast provided. The only thing is they don't supply tooth brush or paste so please bring your own one if you go there. Everything else is just perfect.

Although it is a 40 minutes bus ride from the bus station, the surround area is very nice, the people friendly and very helpful and it was a pleasure to sit on the bus and see the surrounding countryside and how the Venetians live off the island. Would recommend. Hotel staff very helpful, although their bar facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade. Breakfast was a delight every morning and everything extremely fresh.

By chance stayed at this hotel weekend of Venice Marathon, which goes past front door, road was shut from 7:00 am till 12:00 so had to catch bus outside front door before 7:00 But staff were up ready to give us an early breakfast so that we could get out to Venice.
