Overall the front desk staff is beyond rude.

The motel was fine for everything except... the shower was barely warm and had low pressure. Our stay was for two days and I figured it might have just been the time of day, the it was the same both days at different times. When we checked out I asked about it all I got back was "did you turn the handle all the way to hot"?
Not sure if it was because we were on the 3rd floor or what but I expected something better for a response. I would stay here again if the shower was the proper temperature but otherwise not. And yes I did try the sink too and the "hot" water was barely warm.

Overall convenient and reasonably priced. Room condition, while not dirty, could certainly use some general repairs. Customer service, while not rude, was not exactly welcoming.

I have stayed here before and left a positive review. The check in was painfully slow because an irate tenant was shouting about her terrible room and a second was trying to check out early because "nothing was working". We were told our double queen was not available, simply because 3rd party services "just hand out rooms without checking that we have them". We were "upgraded" to a king with double sofabed, but there were no pillows available for the double ("it's okay, you have 4 on the king"). I noted our dog would be with us when I booked but they were grumpy they had not been informed. The bathroom had moldy caulk and ants. I sure hope this place can turn around because it used to be great value and perfectly fine. I doubt we'll be back to try it again however.

Ghetto. Scribed tags in the elevator

No coffee maker in room, no cups or glasses. had to go to front desk and get myself. No outlets at nightstand to charge devices. Phone in room didn't work so couldn't call front desk. No vent in bathroom, dim lighting. Was a gap at door latch big enough for someone to see into my room.

They have a problematic door unlock card reader that your afternoon desk agent said was not recommended to use them and to only enter and exit through the front door. I saw other people using the alternative side and back doors. This should be fixed.
FYI: The customer service desk clerk in the afternoon named Anne is not nice.

My room had large amounts of sealant shaving on the shower floor along with the maintenance supplies used to unseal the shower seal. When I called the front desk, the associated was bewildered as to what to do and offered to refer the matter to his superior. I never heard from the superior…
After coming to the front desk at own volition, I was moved into another room with a shower with broken temp control — only scalding or freezing.
An unpleasant experience, but I’ve had worse.

The worst hospitality I’ve ever seen. When I walked to the front desk, the front desk woman saw me , looked me, and then still went out from reception and locked the door and then walked to elevators.
I paid full price, but they didn’t allow people to use the swimming pool.

I arrived late (1AM) and was locked out for 30 min after calling the front desk and knocking on the front door of the hotel. Front desk associate was then irritated from being disturbed from stockingand gave me the impression I was too late and there probably wasn’t a room left. But there were plenty of space. ☹️ After that unfortunate interaction, my stay was fine.

Cockroaches …. Cockroaches…. Cockroaches!!! I ended up having to get a room late Friday night at Extended Stay- San Rafael. The room rates were pretty good for the area, and the reviews read about average. It was a late check in and did not get a warm welcome from the front desk person. In addition to the front desk person being mildly rude, the lobby had an odor. Once I got checked into my room, it was late - around midnight and time for bed . Used the rest room and returned to my bed , only to find a cockroach on the pillow! I immediately called the front desk and told them the situation. . It was a new front desk person who was kind and responsive . The front desk person gave me an updrade to the room and apologized, When I walked in to the new room, I walked in about 5 feet and noticed a cockroach on the wall, and another one after that 2 feet away. I deemed the hotel unsanitary and told the front desk person I could not stay there ! I didn’t want to bring roaches back home to my wife and kids ! I then checked out and had to drive around town at 1:00 am in the morning - looking for an upscale - clean hotel .
To add insult to injury , the Extended Stay through the Expedia customer support would not refund me the cost of the room due to the 24 hour no refund policy . I guess the policy doesn’t apply to bug infestation.

Bathroom and pool was out of order. Check-in took a long time due to short staffing. Bare bones amenities, not even a hair dryer. The only thing that was furnished were 2 bars of soap. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel was clean.

Had the worst experience at this property staff was sooo rude the supivisor Ann talk down to me an actually put her hand up an told me to calm down when I was just asking her a question why the bathroom was closed with no sign an when asked to use another room restroom for my elderly mother to use until our room was ready was declined. Then the first room we went to was covered in ants on the bed and kitchen, Ac did not work and then the main light was broken when asked th change rooms I asked to have a room close to the elevator for my elderly mother not being able to walk well I was placed allll the way down a long hall way instead. Then to top it off when getting up one morning I noticed my door handle of my car was messed with as if someone tryed to break in my car
Worst experience ever

The a/c was broken. Couldn’t be fixed. No other rooms. Lady at front desk said to someone “I don’t like you people “. Two different races. I left. They refunded me.

Ok main reason for booking was the pool but it was closed. Then we realized that it was located across from San Quention not mentioned in any post or reviews. I felt like I was an inmate very thin blankets, flat pillows and I was told that I could get extra blankets or pillows. I didn't like that I had to ask for everything silverware, cookware even toiletries. Honestly this was the worst ever hotel stay Ive had in a very long time (and I have stayed at other extended stay)

My room was lovely. All set up for a longer stay. There were no utensils, no pots and pans. No plates, of course. I think you can get those if you pay. But everything worked fine and there was even a heater because it was quite cold outside. The only down was the breakfast, which they said was a grab and go breakfast, but it was sufficient. I didn’t have time to use the gym or anything else. They did answer the front desk, phone most of the time, I was told they were a bit understaffed, but the staff was nice and friendly and Accommodating . The only thing was the smell in the building was stuffy, but I would stay there again.

Front office man was very polite and very kind.. I don’t remember his name even though he had a name tag on but he is a older white gentleman..

Definitely not what I was expecting. Hotel staff made me sit and wait to check in because they were on the phone when I arrived. (Exact words: "Have a seat, this could be awhile.")
When I got into my room at night, the A/C was blasting at 60, wasting energy to cool an empty room. The curtains were closed because it was on the first floor facing the parking lot. In the morning when I opened them, I realized the windows themselves were actually OPEN. Someone had left them open, so blasting the A/C WITH the windows open. Talk about a waste of energy - I've never even stayed in a hotel that allowed you to open windows, so I didn't even think to check that they might be open.
The "grab and go" breakfast is coffee and oatmeal, which might be the least optimal "grab and go" food option.
There were no amenities in the room except two bars of soap - I had to go to the front desk to ask for shampoo (one, "conditioning" shampoo). No conditioner, no lotion, and there wasn't even a hair dryer.
The only upside: It had a comfortable bed. It was conveniently located for where I needed to go, but that's all I can say nice about this place.

I love the fact that each unit has kitchens. Because the room I wanted and booked wasn’t available, I was upgraded at no charge. The parking lot was a little dirty. Have seen cars that were broken into. Broken window glass next to cars. Advise parking vehicle in well lighted area close to entrance.
