The apartment was basic, which is what we were expecting. We were not expecting it to be dirty. Crockery was dirty, side tables had coffee ring stains, lamps dusty. The shower screen was filthy, the bathroom mirror had splotches all over it.
A sign stated customers are expected to clean up after themselves (wash dishes, empty rubbish etc) which is fine, but you need to check that these things have actually been done. Just because crockery and glasswear is in the cupboard doesn’t mean it has been cleaned. These things to be checked before a new customer stays. I expect a self-catered apartment to be clean at the beginning of the stay. We left this apartment cleaner than we found it. Do we get paid a cleaning fee?

The furniture was ok. Beds hard, couches sagging.
This was a basic hotel in a quiet street in the back of Taronga/Indooroopilly. Nice gardens. Loud kids in the pool. The property needs some TLC.

There was hair all over the shower and the bathroom had mould all over the ceiling( a real health hazard) , the apartment smelt of urine and dirty feet, the lightening is very inadequate, with no lamps next to the bed, and the furniture needs to be replaced as most of it should be in the tip. It needs to be given a complete make over, with bright and clean household items, there was one coffee mug in the kitchen. The lounge was dark and dingy.

The carpet are so dirty and smelly, the shower leaks water from the floor. The property conditions are just a disaster. The only thing we liked is the Barbecue, also the Property manger Lee is a good man and he is not responsible about this bad place

Very tired looking property, needs some updates. No oven, for a 2 bedroom unit it didnt have enough dinner ware. Needing some urgent TLC. People need to read the No Smoking signs and where you are allowed to smoke.
Stairs were slippery when wet, fans in rooms placed in corners very poor circulation. Beds and pillows were very comfortable

It is quiet and convenient to transport and shops. An older property but well maintained. Only issue was way too much light in front bedroom at night. Didn’t effect us but did a nephew staying in another apartment.

The complex is clean and well kept but is definitely dated. But many thanks to the management that was very helpful when we needed to extend our stay by an extra night.
The unit we stayed in was showing some signs of wear, with the bathroom counter top having some water damage. The only air conditioning unit was in the living area, so the bedrooms were uncomfortably warm on what seemed like the hottest day of summer.
Overall, it is good value for the price, and is close enough to the University of Queensland St. Lucia campus, as well as to the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

I have stayed at Forest Lodge several times and on all occasions the staff were friendly, the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The train station is 5 minutes away.

We had stayed at Forest Lodge in the past but this time around, it was quite disappointing.
Entry in is rough on the car with an over the top amount of speed humps and roots lifting up the concrete. The SUV only just got through the entry - it is very narrow.
Check in was easy and the girl behind the desk was friendly and they took in our request for a ground floor room (important with infants).
The room itself wasn't very impressive. The beds were clean but the dishes and pots certainly weren't. We weren't supplied with any bowls so cereal was eaten from a mug. There were no dish cloths, only scourers (very old too). Lots of stains on the carpet throughout the room too.
The only other issue was the noise throughout the night. Lots of cars driving through at all hours, people in and out of rooms - made you feel quite uneasy.
Unfortunately we won't be staying there again.

These apartments are well managed and the managers are very helpful. Everything you need is present but the apartments are getting a a bit older and in need of a bit of investment to update. They are clean and well kept the pool is excellent and the grounds are leafy and very pleasant to be in. The price is reasonable and the location is great in Indooroopilly for access to shops and trains. This is the third time we have stayed here and will continue to do so as they are excellent value for money in a location that suits us very well.

Good place to be local to the indooroopilly area but it is basic accommodation but you should know that going in so no issue there. Not the greatest place for sleep, the birds woke up way before I wanted them to that’s for sure. Good for families with the facilities offered

Beautiful surroundings. The room was warm and comfortable but the furnishings were in need of refurbishing. The room phone did not work and the wi-fi was intermittent. Nice and quiet and handy to station and shops.

This property is in a handy location. It is getting a bit old but it is very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had no problems and would stay here again.

The property is an older property with some wear and tear. Didn't like the shower over the bathtub. Slipped one night and fell over while I was having a shower. Foxtel was great. Laundry facilities were good. Ask for a room upstairs. I had some bad luck with people upstairs stomping around when I was in a room downstairs. Reception was good. Friendly.

The people who run the place are lovely and very helpful. The kitchen was well equipped although it was a bit hard to get to the microwave as it was down low. The TV was on a downward angle but it was great to get Foxtel and have free Wi-Fi. The pool was amazing. The entrance off Central Ave is very narrow and our car just fitted. We were relieved to see that we could come and go via the back entrance which made it a lot easier. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. They need to have a map of the local streets showing where Indooroopilly shopping centre is as it was quicker to walk there then to drive. There were only a few powerpoints so I had to plug one phone charger in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. Overall our stay was lovely and I would definitely consider staying there again.

Room was small. TV was even smaller. No air con in the bed room. Room was Basic condition and out dated. Free WiFI But can’t connect to it. Quiet area and handy to Indoorpilly shopping centre and UQ.

The grounds are pretty and relaxing, the apartment/unit is a bit outdated and not as the pictures show. However it did the job of accomodating 4 of us for the night.

The rooms were more than adequate. The fittings were "tired" but everything needed was there, including bedroom electric fan and air-conditioning - neither of which we used. The sheets were absolutely new.
Surprising was the need to supply your own toilet paper after the supplied part-roll ran out.

Please 4 day stay lovely and quiet property, very well maintained gardens and surrounds. Wouldnt think I was in the middle of town.

That's a good place to live! Next time if we are going to Brisbane we will stay in this hotel again.
